Abstract

The lock (1) has a bolt (5) which is controlled by a slide (4), which can be moved longitudinally against the force of a spring, using a key. A spring-loaded component (7) locks the slide when the bolt is withdrawn, and allows the bolt to advance when the door is closed by releasing the locking action on the slide. The lock also has a cross latch (6), which is blocked by the slide when the bolt is advanced, and which is released by the slide when the bolt is withdrawn. When the latch is released, the slide is blocked when the key or a key-bit (8) rests against a stop (10) which is arranged in the region of the contour of the lock cylinder (9).
