  5. An overlay as in one of the Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that at least the panel (2) provided for the upper face (8) of the table exhibits a peripheral elevation (31) projecting from this face (8) of the table.
  6. An overlay as in Claim 1, characterized in that
       only the area of the panel (2) surrounded by the elevation (31) is made entirely or partially skidproof or provided with the antiskid coating (10).
  7. An overlay as in one of the Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that
       the antiskid coating (10) is made transparent and under it there is provided an item (11) of information which is visible through the antiskid coating (10).
  8. An overlay as in one of the Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that
       the antiskid coating (10) and at least the panel (2) provided for the upper tabletop (8) are made transparent and under the antiskid coating (10) and/or on the underside (12) of the panel (7) there is/are provided an item (11) of information visible through the antiskid coating (10) or also through the panel (2).
  9. An overlay as in one of the Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that
       it consists of a deep-drawn foil or panel of metal, paper or plastics which is bent into a "U" or may be bent or folded into a "U".
  10. An overlay as in one of the Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that
       it consists of a part injected or injection-moulded from plastics.
  11. An overlay as in one of the Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that
       the panels (2, 3) exhibit an edge (33) or sections of edge running in or about in the plane (32) of the panels which may be slid into a mortise groove (34) or sections of mortise groove running round a tabletop (7).
