Abstract

Um ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Steuerung des Glühvorgangs einer Glühkerze eines Dieselmotors derart zu schaffen, daß die Vorglühzeit der Glühkerze verkürzt wird, wird vorgeschlagen, daß man der Glühkerze zunächst während einer Aufheizphase eine elektrische Aufheizleistung zuführt, deren Betrag höher ist als die Dauerleistung, die der Glühkerze im Dauerbetrieb ohne Schädigung zugeführt werden kann, wobei man die Dauer der Aufheizphase so bemißt, daß keine Schädigung der Glühkerze erfolgt, und daß man nach Ablauf der Aufheizphase die Glühkerze mit einer Leistung betreibt, die maximal der Dauerleistung entspricht.
