Definitions
- the invention relates to an adhesive tape for attaching mesh screens.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of improving an adhesive tape for fastening fly screens with regard to the probability of hooking and manufacture.
- the object is achieved in that a plastic adhesive tape is now used instead of the previously conventional textile adhesive tapes.
- These have the advantage that the spacing of the longitudinal ribs subdivided into interlocking elements can be designed as desired, since, in contrast to the textile manufacturing processes, there is no longer any need for machine finenesses and / or divisions.
- the use of plastic adhesive tapes is cheaper than textile adhesive fasteners.
- the distance between the interlocking elements of a longitudinal rib can be selected independently of the distance between the longitudinal ribs, whereby the probability of interlocking can be further increased.
- the distance between the interlocking elements of each longitudinal rib is selected from one another such that one to three interlocking elements per mesh of the fly screen come into engagement.
- interlocking elements themselves are preferably arrowhead or harpoon-shaped in order to ensure easy penetration into the grid structure of the fly screen formed by the meshes.
- the single figure of the drawing shows an incompletely illustrated schematic view of a window frame with a fly screen fastened by means of a plastic adhesive tape according to the invention.
- the plastic adhesive tape 1 has longitudinal plastic ribs 3, which are subdivided in such a way that 1, 2 or 3 of the interlocking elements 5 formed by the subdivision hook into a mesh 7 of a fly screen 9.
- the production of the plastic adhesive tape having the longitudinal ribs 3 and the subdivision of the longitudinal ribs 3 to form the interlocking elements 5 is carried out in accordance with the method disclosed in DE 22 13 686 C3. Reference is made to the patent specification mentioned here. However, it should be taken into account that the distance between the longitudinal ribs 3 from one another is selected so that it corresponds to the mesh size of the respective fly screen 9.
- plastic adhesive tapes 1 were produced, the hooking elements 5 of which were formed on the one hand in the shape of an arrowhead and on the other hand in the form of a harpoon. Both embodiments of the interlocking elements 5 showed an easy penetration into the lattice structure of the respective fly screen 9 formed by the meshes 7 and thus a quick and secure interlocking. In principle, however, another form of the hooking elements 5, e.g. a mushroom-like design of the interlocking elements 5 can be selected.
- the plastic adhesive tape 1 produced as stated above was provided with self-adhesive in a manner known per se on the side facing away from the hooking elements 5 and glued around a window frame 11.
- the fly screen 9 was cut to the size of the window frame 11 and pressed with its edges onto the plastic adhesive tape 1.
- the plastic adhesive tape 1, the hooking elements 5 of each longitudinal rib 3 were formed such that one hooking element 5 per mesh 7 of the fly screen 9 is engaged, still had sufficient adhesive strength and had the advantage that the fly screen 9 could be attached very quickly because it was not necessary to allow several interlocking elements 5 to engage in a mesh 7 of the fly screen 9.
- the schematic view of the single figure is shown somewhat differently from the plastic adhesive tape 1 used in practice and the fly screen 9 held therein for the purpose of better illustrating the object according to the invention.
- the longitudinal direction of the plastic adhesive tapes 1 used in practice runs parallel to the longitudinal direction of the fly screen 9, the meshes 7 of which are generally rectangular, the longer sides of each rectangle being oriented in the longitudinal direction of the fly screen 9.
- the transverse rows of the interlocking elements 5, which are perpendicular to the longitudinal ribs 3 are arranged such that they each run at an acute angle to the longitudinal edge of the fly screen 9. This course of the transverse rows, not shown in the figure, is due to manufacturing technology.
- the interlocking elements 5 are formed in that the plastic longitudinal ribs 3 are divided by flat knives to form incisions and the plastic adhesive tape 1 is then stretched on a drawing bench, as a result of which the interlocking elements 5 are separated by a distance.
- An arrangement of the transverse ribs in such a way that they also form an acute angle on the fly screen 9 to be attached to the plastic adhesive tape 1 prevents the formation of predetermined breaking points when the plastic adhesive tape 1 is stretched. The respective degree of angle of this acute angle depends on the extent of the stretch.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an adhesive tape for attaching mesh screens.
It is known to use adhesive parts of textile surface fasteners for attaching fly screens. These are woven and / or knitted adhesive tapes, the hooking elements of which are generally mushroom-shaped. The mosquito nets are attached in such a way that self-adhesive parts of the adhesive tapes are glued around the window frame and then the custom-made mosquito nets are pressed with their edges onto the adhesive tapes. The interlocking elements penetrate the mesh-shaped structure of the fly screen and hold it in place. A disadvantage of this type of adhesive tapes is that a number of interlocking elements must be provided for a good interlocking probability, which is significantly larger than the number of stitches. One is with regard to Number of interlocking elements tied to finenesses and / or divisions due to the textile manufacturing process of weaving or knitting.
Based on this prior art, the invention is therefore based on the object of improving an adhesive tape for fastening fly screens with regard to the probability of hooking and manufacture.
The object is achieved in that a plastic adhesive tape is now used instead of the previously conventional textile adhesive tapes. These have the advantage that the spacing of the longitudinal ribs subdivided into interlocking elements can be designed as desired, since, in contrast to the textile manufacturing processes, there is no longer any need for machine finenesses and / or divisions. In addition, the use of plastic adhesive tapes is cheaper than textile adhesive fasteners. As a result, it is now possible to arrange the longitudinal ribs of the plastic adhesive tape at a distance from one another which corresponds approximately to the mesh size of the fly screen, as a result of which the likelihood of hooking can be greatly improved.
The distance between the interlocking elements of a longitudinal rib can be selected independently of the distance between the longitudinal ribs, whereby the probability of interlocking can be further increased.
In a preferred embodiment, the distance between the interlocking elements of each longitudinal rib is selected from one another such that one to three interlocking elements per mesh of the fly screen come into engagement.
The interlocking elements themselves are preferably arrowhead or harpoon-shaped in order to ensure easy penetration into the grid structure of the fly screen formed by the meshes.
In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.
The single figure of the drawing shows an incompletely illustrated schematic view of a window frame with a fly screen fastened by means of a plastic adhesive tape according to the invention.
The plastic
In experiments, plastic
To fasten the
The schematic view of the single figure is shown somewhat differently from the plastic
