Abstract

The invention relates to apparatus (1) for obviating deterioration of a product in a container (2), such as a "beg-in-box" for dispensing of say wine, comprising means (3) adapted for absorption of agents deleterious to the wine, particularly ambient oxygen. In the embodiment, this means (3) comprises a socket of oxygen-absorbing material in a compartment (5) of a body (7) of a tap (6).
