Abstract

The shoe sole comprises a gel which is formed by a reaction of a poly-functional polyol with a polyisocyanate. At points particularly subject to shock, recesses (3) in the basic body (5) are provided, in which a gel cushion (9) is inserted. The gel cushion covers the surface of the shoe sole and has downward projections, which engage in corresponding recesses of the basic body. A damping component (4) with its basic body is inserted in the recess and an edge flange (6) engages in a widened lower area of the recess. The lower side (7) of the damping component and the under side (8) of the inlay sole are aligned with one another.

Description

The invention relates to a shoe sole in the form of an insole or as part of a shoe with a cover facing the foot of the user, at least part of the shoe sole being designed to be damping.

It is known, for example from German patent application P 44 o3 889, to provide shoe soles or insoles, in particular for protective work shoes, with damping elements in order to protect the user from shock loads which arise from putting on the feet when walking, or from the outside due to Vibrations are transmitted to the body.

The invention is based on the object, in addition or as an alternative to known damping elements, to further reduce the shock load and to increase the wearing comfort.

This object is achieved in that the inside of the shoe sole is provided on its upper side and / or at least part of its base body with a cushion which is filled with a highly elastic polyurethane gel.

Such a cushion provides surprisingly advantageous shock absorption properties. Such highly elastic polyurethane gels are commercially available.

For the present application, a gel is particularly considered according to the invention, the physical state of which is between solid and liquid and which is formed by a three-dimensional network structure which is dispersed in a homogeneous, liquid phase. The network and the liquid phase thus penetrate each other. Such a network can be made by the reaction of a polyfunctional polyol with a polyisocyanate. Part of the reaction product retains a lower molecular weight, which still maintains a certain limited fluidity, and thus acts as a dispersion medium which is fixed in the network and is immobilized therein. A particularly advantageous property is that the flexible properties are retained permanently and are not impaired by migration.

A gel cushion according to the invention can either completely cover the shoe sole in the manner of an insole or only in particularly stressed areas, such as the heel area. A combination of these measures is also conceivable, e.g. the insertion of a cushion in the heel area and the application of an additional, flat cushion to the entire sole. Furthermore, it is conceivable to shape the cover of the cushion so that it covers the sole largely extensively on the one hand and on the other hand has projections or projections which engage in recesses in the sole at particularly stressed points.

Dabei zeigen:

The invention is described in more detail below on the basis of a preferred exemplary embodiment in the form of an insole. Show:

An insole 1 shown in the drawing is made in one piece from foam. It is dimensioned and shaped in such a way that it can be used in the interior of conventionally manufactured shoes and, starting from the heel area 2, tapers in a wedge shape towards the center and extends approximately beyond the center of the shoe. A circular recess 3 is provided in the heel area 2.

A hydraulic damping element 4, as is known for example from DE 39 o6 466 A1, comprises a circular disk-shaped base body 5 and an edge flange 6 made of plastic and molded onto it. The damping element 4 has on its base body a plurality of lamellae extending radially outwards from the center point and an oily hydraulic fluid, whereby the displacement of the hydraulic fluid when pressurized in cooperation with the flow channels formed by the lamellae achieves the typical and special damping effect for such damping elements 4 becomes. A special feature of this construction is that it enables an excellent damping effect to be achieved, although no precautions have to be taken in this regard in the construction and manufacture of the shoe itself. Accordingly, such an insole is also suitable when certain shoes, be it because of unusual sizes or special orthopedic features, cannot be manufactured in large quantities.

As can be seen in Fig. 2, the damping element 4 is inserted with its base body 5 into the recess 3 from below, the edge flange 6 engaging in the expanded lower region of the recess 3 such that the bottom 7 of the damping element 4 and the bottom 8 of the insole 1 are aligned.

As can be seen from FIG. 3, a gel cushion 9 is provided which is filled with a highly elastic polyurethane gel and extends both over the area of the damping element 4 and over the other surface areas of the sole.

In a departure from the exemplary embodiment shown, the separate damping element 4 can also be omitted, in which case the gel cushion 9 in the region of the recess 3 would have a projection which engages in the recess 3, so that an increased configuration in the region of the heel is also possible Damping effect would be achieved.
