Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a shoe sole in the form of an insole or as part of a shoe with a cover facing the foot of the user, at least part of the shoe sole being designed to be damping.
It is known, for example from German patent application P 44 o3 889, to provide shoe soles or insoles, in particular for protective work shoes, with damping elements in order to protect the user from shock loads which arise from putting on the feet when walking, or from the outside due to Vibrations are transmitted to the body.
The invention is based on the object, in addition or as an alternative to known damping elements, to further reduce the shock load and to increase the wearing comfort.
This object is achieved in that the inside of the shoe sole is provided on its upper side and / or at least part of its base body with a cushion which is filled with a highly elastic polyurethane gel.
Such a cushion provides surprisingly advantageous shock absorption properties. Such highly elastic polyurethane gels are commercially available.
For the present application, a gel is particularly considered according to the invention, the physical state of which is between solid and liquid and which is formed by a three-dimensional network structure which is dispersed in a homogeneous, liquid phase. The network and the liquid phase thus penetrate each other. Such a network can be made by the reaction of a polyfunctional polyol with a polyisocyanate. Part of the reaction product retains a lower molecular weight, which still maintains a certain limited fluidity, and thus acts as a dispersion medium which is fixed in the network and is immobilized therein. A particularly advantageous property is that the flexible properties are retained permanently and are not impaired by migration.
A gel cushion according to the invention can either completely cover the shoe sole in the manner of an insole or only in particularly stressed areas, such as the heel area. A combination of these measures is also conceivable, e.g. the insertion of a cushion in the heel area and the application of an additional, flat cushion to the entire sole. Furthermore, it is conceivable to shape the cover of the cushion so that it covers the sole largely extensively on the one hand and on the other hand has projections or projections which engage in recesses in the sole at particularly stressed points.

An
As can be seen in Fig. 2, the
As can be seen from FIG. 3, a gel cushion 9 is provided which is filled with a highly elastic polyurethane gel and extends both over the area of the
In a departure from the exemplary embodiment shown, the
