Abstract

The Shopping trolley is esp designed for use in a supermarket. It has a further stop device (25) which is so arranged to be movable about a horizontal axis (24) at the rear end (16) of the shelf (14) that the stop device in the in-use position is higher than the fixed location stop system (21). In the non-use position the stop device lies either on the surface (19) of the shelf or is let into it. Alternatively it can lie on the stop system (21).

Description

The invention relates to a stackable shopping trolley, with a chassis, with a goods support device which is delimited at its rear end by a pivotable rear wall, with a sliding device and with one provided in the rear area of the shopping trolley, which can be moved from a non-use position into a use position and vice versa. with a footprint and equipped with a stationary stop device, which is intended to hold larger objects, the stationary stop device being arranged upward at the rear end of the footprint.

Shopping carts of this type are described in more detail, for example, in European patents EP 0 141 398, EP 0 254 210, EP 0 349 423 and EP 0 402 551.

Figure imgb0001
In shopping trolleys, the shelves of which are constructed in such a way that they are preferably suitable for transporting large beverage crates, it is difficult to transport even small or half beverage crates safely. The reason for this is the stop device chosen for these shelves, which must be designed to be relatively low so that the shelves of several shopping carts do not prove to be a hindrance when stacking the trolleys in a space-saving manner. In the meantime, so-called
Figure imgb0001
PET "- drinks bottles sold, which are offered in relatively small boxes or racks. Since larger drinks boxes are still on the market, the trays of the shopping trolleys should be equally suitable for transporting a wide variety of drinks boxes.

The object of the invention is to further develop a generic shopping cart so that the requirement just mentioned is met.

To solve this problem, it is proposed to provide a further stop device which is arranged at the rear end of the shelf so as to be movable about a horizontal axis in such a way that it is higher than in the position of use the fixed stop device and that it either rests on the shelf of the shelf or is embedded in the non-use position or that it rests on the fixed stop device.

With a shelf designed in this way, a wide variety of beverage crates can advantageously be transported safely, since it is important to place a small or half a beverage crate securely on the shelf, so it is sufficient to pivot the further stop device upwards into its position of use, so that the Beverage crate is securely supported by the higher anchor device. If, on the other hand, you want to transport a large crate of beverages, the further attachment device preferably remains on the shelf of the shelf in its non-use position, since the previous, lower attachment device is completely sufficient as a safety device. The user of the shopping cart can thus, depending on which beverage crates he wants to transport, determine himself whether he wants to use the further attachment device or not. The further stop device is expediently designed or mounted in such a way that it then automatically visits the non-use position when the entire tray is moved into the non-use position for the purpose of stacking.

The shopping carts 1 shown and described below represent only a part of those shopping carts 1 to which the innovation can be applied. All of these shopping carts 1 have a chassis 2 which carries a goods carrier 8 in the preferred form of a basket or generally a container. For this purpose, the chassis have 2 of the shopping trolley 1 has upwardly directed or curved supports 3, to which the goods support device 8 is attached. At the rear end 6 of the shopping cart 1, a sliding device 7 is provided, which is arranged either on the chassis 2, or, as usual, on the goods carrying device 8. A rear wall 10 made of wire mesh and / or plastic, which delimits the rear end of the goods carrying device 8, is pivotally mounted in a known manner about a horizontal axis 11 lying above, so that such shopping carts 1 can also be pushed into one another in a space-saving manner, that is to say stacked . Both the goods carrier 8 and the chassis 2 are therefore conical, usually tapered in the sliding direction. In the rear area 13 of the shopping trolley 1 there is a shelf 14 which is suitable for holding larger objects 27, such as bottle packs, boxes, containers, etc. The shelves 14 can be moved backwards from a non-use position, in which they are usually located below the goods carrying device 8, into a use position and vice versa. When several shopping trolleys 1 are stacked, shelves 14 in the use position are automatically pushed into the non-use position by the shopping trolley 1 to be pushed in at the rear.

Figure imgb0001
L" erinnert. In the shopping cart 1 shown in FIG. 1, the shelf 14 is designed as described in European Patent 0 141 398. The shelf 14 consists of a swivel part 15 and a holding part 17. At the rear end 20 of the shelf 19 of the shelf 14, that is to say at the rear end 16 thereof, a stop device 21 is provided which is arranged in a stationary manner, projects upwards and with the shelf 19, viewed from the side, to a
Figure imgb0001
L ". At or near the footprint 19, a further stop device 25 is mounted such that it can be pivoted to a limited extent about a horizontal axis 24 extending transversely to the sliding direction of the shopping cart 1 such that the further stop device 25 in the position of use parallel to the stationary stop device 21 and preferably adjacent to it is arranged and rests on the footprint 19 in the non-use position or, in order to avoid unevenness, is embedded in the footprint 19. A small beverage crate 27 is placed on the shelf 14.

The shopping cart 1 shown in FIG. 2 is based on those shopping carts 1 that are described in DE-OS 34 48 335.7 or in EP 0 402 551. At the rear end 20 of the shelf 19 of the shelf 16, in addition to the stationary stop device 21, the further stop device 25 is arranged in the same manner as described in FIG. 1.

The shopping cart 1 shown in FIG. 3 corresponds to a shopping cart 1 developed by Clares Equipment Great Britain. The shelf 14 is mounted on the front in guides 4 for sliding movement and has a pivoting part 15 at the rear end, the supports of which are rotatably mounted on the chassis 2. At the rear end 20 of the shelf 19, and thus at the rear end 16 of the shelf 14, there is the stationary stop device 21. The further stop device 25 is also located adjacent to it on or near the footprint 19 at the rear end 16 of the shelf 14.

In Fig. 4, only the tray 14 is shown schematically. This is representative of all possible embodiments of shelves 14, be they tray-like or drawer-like or selected in two parts. All of these shelves 14 have a footprint 19 and a fixed stop device 21 which extends at an angle upwards at the rear end 20 of the footprint 19. At the rear end 16 of the shelf 14, at or near the footprint 19, the further stop device 25 is mounted about a horizontal axis 24 extending transversely to the sliding direction of the shopping cart 1 and can be moved from an upward use position into a non-use position parallel to the footprint 19 (dash-dotted) and vice versa. The further stop device 25 is higher (dimension B) than the stationary stop device 21 (dimension A). This allows smaller beverage crates or objects 27 to be secured against falling off the shelf 14, easy to transport. Since the shelves 14 are usually made of rods or wires, the preferably bow-shaped further stop device 25 can be articulated with its bow legs 26 preferably on one of the transverse wires 18 of the shelf 14 such that the bow legs 26 projecting upwards in the position of use, and thus the stop device 25 on the stationary stop device 21 or abut. In the non-use position, the further stop device 25 is preferably part of the standing surface 19 without projecting above it.

In Nichtgebrauchslage liegt die weitere Anschlageinrichtung 25 an der Innenseite 23 der ortsfesten Anschlageinrichtung 21 an.According to FIG. 5, it is also possible to mount the further stop device 25 at the rear end 16 of the shelf 14 on or near the upper edge 22 of the fixed stop device 21 so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis 24 and to equip it with means which enable the pivoting movement of the stop device 25 limit. In the non-use position, the further stop device 25 bears against the inside 23 of the stationary stop device 21.

As already mentioned at the outset, the further stop device 25 is preferably designed by suitable choice of its overall center of gravity so that it just barely remains in its position of use, but immediately goes to its non-use position itself when the tray 14, for example when stacking several shopping trolleys 1, or also by hand, in the non-use position. In this way, the further stop device 25 does not interfere with the stacking process of two or more shopping trolleys 1. The center of gravity of the stop device 25 can also be placed so that the stop device 25 always falls into the non-use position when released, ie. that is, when loading the tray 14 with an object, the stop device 25 must be held by hand in the position of use until the object 27 is placed on the tray 14.
