Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Matratze.The invention relates to a mattress.

Matratzen dienen als Bettpolster und bestehen in der Regel aus einem festen Überzug und einem Polsterkern, wobei sich für den Polsterkern vor allem geschäumter Kunststoff, insbesondere ein geeigneter Kaltschaum, durchgesetzt hat, der sich aufgrund seiner elastischen Eigenschaften der Körperform des Benutzers anpaßt und diesen in allen eingenommenen Lagen komfortabel abstützt und so einen erholsamen Schlaf ermöglicht. Eine Matratze soll aber außer der Anpassung an die Anatomie des Benutzers auch sicherstellen, daß die von diesem während des Schlafes abgegebene Transpirationsfeuchtigkeit von der Matratze aufgenommen und an die Umgebungsluft abgegeben wird, so daß die Matratze nicht zu feucht wird, was auch aus Gründen der Gesundheit und Hygiene vermieden werden soll. Immerhin verliert ein Schlafender während der Nacht bis zu einem 3/4 Liter an Körperfeuchte, teilweise durch die Atmung, zum größten Teil jedoch durch Transpiration. Tests haben ergeben, daß nur die wenigsten Matratzen in der Lage sind, diese Feuchtigkeitsmenge schnell genug an die Außenluft abzugeben, so daß es zu einer starken Durchfeuchtung der Matratze kommt. Es bedarf keiner weiterer Ausführungen, daß in einer durchfeuchteten Matratze die schädliche Keimbildung ganz erheblich beschleunigt wird und so gesundheitliche Schädigungen des Benutzers in erhöhtem Maße zu befürchten sind. Die Matratze weist eine Vielzahl von Ventilationsöffnungen auf, die in den seitlichen Wandungen der Matratze als Ausnehmungen bzw. Durchgangsöffnungen vorgesehen sind. Auf diese Weise wird, angeregt durch die natürlichen Bewegungen des Benutzers während des Schlafes, eine sehr gute Durchlüftung der Matratze erreicht, so daß die von der Matratze aufgenommene Feuchtigkeit schnell an die Außenluft abgegeben und einer Durchfeuchtung der Matratze entgegengewirkt wird. Nach einer zweckmäßigen Ausgestaltung der Matratze sind die Durchgangsöffnungen in der Weise angeordnet, daß jeweils in Vertikalrichtung gesehen vier Öffnungen mit Abstand zueinander übereinander liegen und auf derselben Höhe, also horizontal verlaufend, nebeneinander mit Abstand zueinander vorgesehen sind. Es werden also insgesamt vier horizontal verlaufende, in Höhenrichtung voneinander beabstandete Reihen von Ventilationsöffnungen in den Seitenwandungen der Matratze gebildet, die rundumlaufen. Vorzugsweise sind diese Durchgangsöffnungen kreisrund ausgebildet. Als weiteres vorteilhaftes Merkmal sind die Durchgangsöffnungen jeweils von einer vorzugsweise metallischen Öse eingefaßt, so daß ein Einreißen oder eine sonstige Beschädigung der Öffnungen wirksam verhindert wird. Die Matratze weist eine gegenüber bekannten Matratzen deutlich erhöhte und verbesserte Ventilation auf, so daß Feuchtigkeit, aber auch ein Überschuß an Körperwarme unter Verbesserung der körperlichen Hygiene nach außen angeführt werden. Sie besteht aus einer Oberseite 1, der gegenüberliegenden (in der Zeichnung nicht sichtbaren) Unterseite 2 sowie den Seitenwandungen 3 bis 6, nämlich den beiden Seitenwänden 3 und (nicht sichtbar) 4 sowie den beiden Stirnwänden oder -seiten 5 und (nicht sichtbar) 6, die jeweils paarweise gegenüberliegend angeordnet sind. Dabei sind die Seiten- und Stirnwände 3 bis 6 zweckmäßigerweise aus einem fortlaufenden bzw. umlaufenden, aus vorgestepptem Drell bestehenden Band gebildet. Der nicht weiter gezeigte Innenkern der Matratze besteht beispielweise aus Kaltschaum, wie einem hochelastischen Polyäther. Wie deutlich in Fig. 1 zu erkennen ist, sind in den Seitenwandungen 3 bis 6 eine Vielzahl von Durchgangs- oder Lüftungsöffnungen 7 angeordnet. In Fig. 1 und 2 zeigt sich, daß diese Durchgangsöffnungen 7 in der Weise angeordnet sind, daß sie zum einen in Horizontalrichtung und zum anderen in Vertikalrichtung miteinander fluchten. Insgesamt sind jeweils vier in Höhenrichtung voneinander beabstandete Durchgangsöffnungen 7 vorgesehen, die jeweils eine vertikale Reihe von Durchgangsöffnungen 7 bilden. Weiterhin sind die Durchgangsöffnungen 7 in horizontalen Zeilen nebeneinanderliegend vorgesehen. Der Abstand der in einer Ebene liegenden Durchgangsöffnungen 7 beträgt etwa 5 cm, während der Abstand der vier untereinanderliegenden Durchgangsöffnungen 7 pro Reihe bei gleichmäßiger Aufteilung von der Höhe der Matratze, d.h. vom Abstand der Ober- und Unterseite 1 und 2 voneinander bzw. der Breite des die Seitenwandungen bildenden Bandes, bestimmt wird. Die Lüftungsöffnungen 7 sind kreisrund ausgebildet, wobei der Durchmesser etwa 4 mm beträgt. Um ein Einreißen oder sonstige Beschädigungen der Lüftungsöffnungen 7 zu verhindern, sind diese jeweils mit Ösen 8 eingefaßt, wie deutlich in Fig. 3 zu erkennen ist. Diese Ösen 8 bestehen vorzugsweise aus einem metallischen Material. Die Einbringung der Durchgangsöffnungen 7 einschließlich der Ösen 8 erfolgt vor dem Anbringen der Seitenwandungen an der Matratze, wobei das die Seitenwandungen bildende vorgesteppte Band von einer Zuführrolle abgerollt einer die Durchgangsöffnungen 7 in das Band einbringenden Vorrichtung zugeführt und sodann auf einer Aufwickelrolle aufgewickelt wird.
