Definitions
- the invention relates to a bath lift for the disabled, with a base frame, a guide frame and a lifting plate supported by this and a lifting hose attached to the base plate and the lifting plate, which is connected to a hand control valve attached to the side of the lifting plate, which provides an opening for the lifting plate Part penetrates and has a first supply connection for a connecting hose leading to a domestic water line.
- Such a bath lifter is known from EP-A 0 131 741 and DE-A-41 30 323.
- the bath lifter has a swiveling backrest, for which a mechanical actuation mechanism is provided.
- bath lifters are connected to the bathtub fitting using the connecting hose instead of the hose for the hand shower.
- the bath lift is ready for use by flipping the switch on the bath mixer and opening the cold water tap.
- the disadvantage is that the hand shower cannot be used.
- Another disadvantage is that the side manual control valve comes to rest on the wall side of the bathtub in a large number of applications and is therefore difficult to reach by assistants, in particular when the lifting plate is lowered and therefore below the water surface.
- the object of the invention is to design the bathtub lifter in such a way that it can easily be converted from the right-hand tub spout to the left-side spout and is suitable for further pressurized water options thanks to replacement or retrofit kits.
- a bath lift of the type mentioned in that the lifting plate adjacent to its two longitudinal sides each has an opening, that both openings are contoured the same and are mirror images of a longitudinal center line of the lifting plate, that at least one each on two opposite sides of each opening Mounting hole is provided that the hand control valve can be screwed optionally below both openings and that the lifting plate has further mounting holes.
- a distributor can be attached to the underside of the lifting plate, which has a second supply connection for the connecting hose and a hose leading to the manual control valve, and which is connected to at least one activatable connection fitting for a further pressure water consumer.
- the distributor with its connection components forms a retrofit kit that complements the basic model if at least one additional pressurized water connection is required.
- This retrofit kit can already be installed very easily by the manufacturer but also by the user, so that he can optionally connect a shower hose and a hydraulic actuation device for a backrest adjustment, as is known from EP-A-0622042.
- the connection fitting can consist of a commercially available self-locking quick coupling part that opens when a hose nipple is inserted.
- this connection option requires a shut-off valve on the connected device. Hand showers with an integrated shut-off valve are therefore just as suitable for this connection as hydraulic backrest adjustments, which are equipped with their own hand control valve.
- the at least one connection fitting can also be formed on a second hand control valve which has at least two switch positions and has fastening bores whose hole pattern matches that of the first hand control valve, the second hand control valve being screwable to the underside of the lifting plate below the free opening and has a coupling part for a connecting hose provided with a mating coupling part.
- This coupling part is preferably a threaded nipple onto which the shower hose with its threaded part is screwed. The hand shower then does not need its own shut-off valve.
- the second hand control valve can also be used as a control valve for the backrest adjustment.
- the invention further relates to a method for system expansion of a bathing lifter with the measures according to claim 5.
- the method according to the invention with system expansion includes a first cushion mat for resting on the lifting plate, which has a lateral opening for the manual control valve.
- the retrofit kit which includes the second hand control valve, then includes a further upholstery mat with two side openings for the two hand control valves, which replaces the first upholstery mat.
- a bath lifter 10 consists of a floor frame or frame 13 on which a lifting hose 12 is attached and a guide frame 14 is mounted. The latter in turn supports a lifting plate 16 with cushion pad 17. The upper end of the lifting hose 12 is fastened to the underside of the lifting plate 16.
- the lifting hose 12 is connected to the manual control valve 18 via a connecting hose 20.
- the hand control valve 18 also has a pressurized water supply connection 22 and a drain line 23.
- the lifting hose 12 In the one switching position of the manual control valve 18, the lifting hose 12 is connected to the connecting hose 20 Pressure supply connection 22 connected so that the lifting hose is filled and the lifting plate 16 is raised. In the other switching position, the lifting hose 12 is connected to the drain line 23, so that the lifting plate 16 moves downward. In the middle position, the lifting hose 12 is shut off both with respect to the supply connection 22 and with respect to the drain line 23.
- the lifting plate 16 is provided with a backrest 19, the inclination of which is adjustable.
- a mechanical adjustment mechanism is provided on the back of the backrest 19.
- a backrest 19 with hydraulic actuation can also be used, for example in the form of a piece of hose lying transversely behind the backrest 19 and supported on the lifting plate 16, on which a rear arm of the backrest 19 is supported and this via a filling and emptying line a further manual control valve (not shown in FIG. 1) can be connected to the pressurized water supply.
- FIG. 2 now shows a bottom view of the lifting plate 16 in the form of basic equipment, in which the supply connection 22 is connected via a hose piece 24 to the manual control valve 18, which in turn is connected to the lifting hose 12 via the connecting hose 20.
- the hose for the hand shower is removed from the bathtub fitting, not shown, and a connecting hose is connected to it, which is coupled to the supply connection 22.
- the bath lifter 10 is now ready for use.
- the manual control valve 18 engages in an approximately rectangular elongated opening 26, which is located near the one long side of the lifting plate 16.
- An opening 28 of the same design is located on the opposite longitudinal side of the lifting plate 16, in a mirror-image arrangement to the central longitudinal line of the lifting plate 16.
- Both sides of the two Openings 26, 28 are fastening holes 30.
- the hole patterns of the fastening holes 30 of both openings 26, 28 are identical.
- the supply connection 22 is also screwed to the underside of the lifting plate 16 using screws passing through fastening holes 32. Also on the in FIG. 2 right side of the lifting plate 16 there are mounting holes 32 and again in a folding symmetrical arrangement to the holes 32 on the opposite side.
- the hand control valve 18 and the supply connection 22 can thus be mounted either on the left or the right side of the lifting plate.
- the retrofitting can also be carried out easily by any layperson.
- the cushion mat 17 only needs to be turned and then also fits to the hand control valve 18 located on the other side of the plate 16.
- FIG. 3 illustrates the first expansion stage compared to the base module of FIG. 2.
- This expansion stage comprises a distributor 34 with a coupling nipple, which forms a new second supply connection 36, a hose piece 38 with a connection nipple 40, which forms a plug-in coupling with the first supply connection 22, and a connection fitting 42.
- the distributor 34 is fastened by means of three screws to the mounting holes 44, which are also in the basic configuration according to. FIG. 2 are available.
- the connecting line coming from the bath fitting is gem.
- FIG. 3 attached to the nipple 36.
- the connection fitting 42 is self-locking and is only opened by inserting a plug nipple of a connection hose.
- the bath lifter 10 can thus be operated as in the basic stage, but the connection fitting 42 offers a further pressure water option, for example the connection of a shower hose or a connection hose for a hydraulic backrest adjustment.
- FIG. 4 shows an alternative expansion level to that according to. FIG. 3.
- This expansion stage also includes a distributor 35, which is slightly different than the distributor gem.
- FIG. 3 in that it has a central second supply connection 36 and two fixed outlet lines 38, 46.
- the line 38 is in turn connected to the first supply connection 22 via a connecting nipple and the hose line 46 ends in a second manual control valve 48 which is screwed into the free opening 28 of the lifting plate 16.
- This second manual control valve has a connection fitting 50 at the outlet end.
- the second manual control valve 48 is a shut-off valve.
- the hose of a hand shower can thus be connected to the connection fitting 50. The shower is then activated by actuating the second manual control valve 48.
- FIG. 5 shows a variant that according to that.
- FIG. 3 corresponds, but the coupling with the coupling parts 22, 40 is missing.
- This version is used when a lifter including the first expansion stage is ordered.
- the distributor 34 is the same as in the embodiment according to. FIG. 3. However, it is firmly connected to the first manual control valve 18 via the hose 39. The piece of hose 24 is thus omitted.
- FIG. 6 shows one of the FIG. 4 appropriate pin assignment if the bath lift is ordered from the manufacturer with this alternative extension level.
- the hose coupling 22, 40 is also omitted here.
- An embodiment, not shown, forms a distributor, which is a combination of the two distributors 34, 35 shown, in which the distributor 34 has connecting hoses 38 or 39 and 46 on both sides, so that the bath lifter 10 has two connecting fittings 42, 50, for example one Shower hose and one To be able to connect the connecting hose for the hydraulic inclination adjustment of the backrest.
- the second manual control valve 48 acc. Figures 4 and 6 is - because designed as a purely shut-off valve - only suitable for connecting a hand shower. If, on the other hand, the pressurized water drive for the backrest adjustment is to be connected, a three-way valve corresponding to that of the first manual control valve 18 is required as the second manual control valve.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a bath lift for the disabled, with a base frame, a guide frame and a lifting plate supported by this and a lifting hose attached to the base plate and the lifting plate, which is connected to a hand control valve attached to the side of the lifting plate, which provides an opening for the lifting plate Part penetrates and has a first supply connection for a connecting hose leading to a domestic water line.
Such a bath lifter is known from EP-A 0 131 741 and DE-A-41 30 323. In the latter, the bath lifter has a swiveling backrest, for which a mechanical actuation mechanism is provided. In the simplest case, bath lifters are connected to the bathtub fitting using the connecting hose instead of the hose for the hand shower. The bath lift is ready for use by flipping the switch on the bath mixer and opening the cold water tap. The disadvantage is that the hand shower cannot be used. Another disadvantage is that the side manual control valve comes to rest on the wall side of the bathtub in a large number of applications and is therefore difficult to reach by assistants, in particular when the lifting plate is lowered and therefore below the water surface.
The object of the invention is to design the bathtub lifter in such a way that it can easily be converted from the right-hand tub spout to the left-side spout and is suitable for further pressurized water options thanks to replacement or retrofit kits.
This object is achieved in a bath lift of the type mentioned in that the lifting plate adjacent to its two longitudinal sides each has an opening, that both openings are contoured the same and are mirror images of a longitudinal center line of the lifting plate, that at least one each on two opposite sides of each opening Mounting hole is provided that the hand control valve can be screwed optionally below both openings and that the lifting plate has further mounting holes. By means of this, a distributor can be attached to the underside of the lifting plate, which has a second supply connection for the connecting hose and a hose leading to the manual control valve, and which is connected to at least one activatable connection fitting for a further pressure water consumer.
The distributor with its connection components forms a retrofit kit that complements the basic model if at least one additional pressurized water connection is required. This retrofit kit can already be installed very easily by the manufacturer but also by the user, so that he can optionally connect a shower hose and a hydraulic actuation device for a backrest adjustment, as is known from EP-A-0622042. In the simplest case, the connection fitting can consist of a commercially available self-locking quick coupling part that opens when a hose nipple is inserted. However, this connection option requires a shut-off valve on the connected device. Hand showers with an integrated shut-off valve are therefore just as suitable for this connection as hydraulic backrest adjustments, which are equipped with their own hand control valve.
Alternatively or cumulatively, the at least one connection fitting can also be formed on a second hand control valve which has at least two switch positions and has fastening bores whose hole pattern matches that of the first hand control valve, the second hand control valve being screwable to the underside of the lifting plate below the free opening and has a coupling part for a connecting hose provided with a mating coupling part. This coupling part is preferably a threaded nipple onto which the shower hose with its threaded part is screwed. The hand shower then does not need its own shut-off valve. The second hand control valve can also be used as a control valve for the backrest adjustment.
It is within the scope of the invention to replace the distributor with a self-locking quick coupling in a second expansion stage with one with a connected second manual control valve and also to connect a further distributor while maintaining the distributor with a self-locking quick coupling, which also has a self-locking quick coupling, but also the connecting hose has a second manual control valve.
The invention further relates to a method for system expansion of a bathing lifter with the measures according to claim 5.
The method according to the invention with system expansion includes a first cushion mat for resting on the lifting plate, which has a lateral opening for the manual control valve. The retrofit kit, which includes the second hand control valve, then includes a further upholstery mat with two side openings for the two hand control valves, which replaces the first upholstery mat.
The invention is explained in more detail with the aid of the drawing, which shows exemplary embodiments of the system expansion for bathing lifters.

The
Der Badelifter 10 ist damit betriebsbereit.FIG. 2 now shows a bottom view of the
As can be seen from FIG. 2 results, the
FIG. 2 vorhanden sind. FIG. 3 am Nippel 36 befestigt. FIG. 3 kann somit der Badelifter 10 wie bei der Basisstufe betrieben werden, jedoch bietet das Anschlußfitting 42 eine weitere Druckwasseroption z.B. des Anschlusses eines Brauseschlauches oder eines Anschlußschlauches für eine hydraulische Rückenlehnenverstellung.FIG. 3 illustrates the first expansion stage compared to the base module of FIG. 2. This expansion stage comprises a
FIG. 3. Figure 4 shows an alternative expansion level to that according to. FIG. 3. This expansion stage also includes a
FIG. 5 zeigt eine Variante, die derjenigen gem. FIG. 3.
