In der einen Schaltstellung des Handsteuerventils 18 ist der Hubschlauch 12 über den Verbindungsschlauch 20 mit dem Druckversorgungsanschluß 22 verbunden, sodaß der Hubschlauch gefüllt und die Hubplatte 16 angehoben wird. In der anderen Schaltstellung ist der Hubschlauch 12 mit der Entleerungsleitung 23 verbunden, sodaß die Hubplatte 16 abwärts fährt. Das Handsteuerventil 18 und der Versorgungsanschluß 22 können also wahlweise auf der linken oder der rechten Seite der Hubplatte montiert werden. Das Umrüsten ist auch von jedem Laien nachträglich leicht durchführbar. An das Anschlußfitting 50 kann also der Schlauch einer Handbrause angeschlossen werden.
