Said projection (14) has advantageously discrete binding positioning means on at least the said face (22, 24, 26). Application to sliding sports.

Description

The invention is in the field of sport and more particularly it relates to a ski.

Skiing is developed, both in its shape only in its structure, to provide the best effect slip as a function of the many and various tensions to which it is subjected, such as vibrations, friction, twists and bends. Skiing is commonly developed from various laminated materials, such as resin, glue, polymer, coating other more or less hard materials, such as steel, wood, ceramic or fiberglass which form the soul of skiing.

Attachment brackets least one shoe on the ski are designed to allow the release of the shoe in the event of an impact in order to preserve user of personal injury.

A problem to solve in the connection between the stirrups and the ski. Commonly, stirrups are fixed on the ski by means of a plate attached to the latter by means of a plurality of screw. This method of fixing the stirrups leads to deterioration of the plate, in particular by drilling the screw through holes, which on the one hand induces a denaturing of the architecture of the ski, and on the other hand alterations to surfaces thus exposed to moisture and oxidation of the screws. In addition, this method of fixing stirrups consists of an inadequate pluripunctual link with the tensions considered and the complex structure of the ski.

A first object of the invention is to remedy the disadvantages mentioned and to offer a ski whose connection with at least one stirrup for fixing a shoe does not cause a denaturation of the structure of the ski.

A second object of the invention is to allow simple and rapid interchangeability of a multiple fixing brackets for the same ski. We know by the publication of patent EP 0035343 (SHEKTER), a ski incorporating a relief elongated with respect to its upper face, the said relief elongated with opposite side faces, namely the small faces, that is to say the transverse faces, participants of interlocking means of connection with a plate of at least one stirrup, said plate having this end a corresponding relief.

  • The presence of this relief makes it possible to bring the stirrup to the ski without having to pierce the latter; however, the choice of the small faces of the relief as participating faces of the connection means entails several disadvantages:
  • 1.- the overall connection surface between the ski and the stirrup is insufficient to allow correct fixing,
  • 2.- the installation of the stirrup being carried out transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the ski, the stirrup is positioned in a determined manner according to the length of the ski and imprecisely according to its width; it follows from these provisions:
  • a.- that the position of the stirrup along the length of the ski cannot be adjusted at the discretion of the user,
  • b.- that the distance separating a couple of front and rear stirrups cannot be adjusted according to the size of the user,
  • c.- a bad positioning of the stirrups relative to the median axis of the ski is made possible.
A third object of the invention is to remedy the disadvantages mentioned above.

According to the invention, a ski of the type ski shaped into a plate composed of elements of laminate structure and intended to receive on one of its faces, called upper, at least one fixing bracket, the ski incorporating for this purpose at least one elongated relief in protruding from its upper face, the said relief elongated with opposing participating side faces connecting means interlocking with a plate of said at least one stirrup, said plate having for this purpose a corresponding relief, is mainly characterized in that that the participating faces of the elongated relief of said means at least one of its large faces is at say its longitudinal faces, so that the stirrup either positioned on the one hand in a determined manner according to the transverse direction of the relief, and on the other hand so adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the relief.

Preferably, the said relief elongated is of the male type with respect to the corresponding relief stirrup; according to an alternative embodiment, not preferred, said elongated relief is of female type by relative to the complementary relief of the stirrup plate and is formed by a pair of facing walls.

According to a preferred form of realization, said elongated relief has a section in dovetail, its large side faces overhanging the upper face of the ski; according to another form of realization, said elongated relief is generally conformed in parallelepiped.

Advantageously, the said relief elongated has on at least one of its large faces discrete (discontinuous) positioning means of the stirrup, consisting for example of a plurality of evenly spaced notches, such as a rack and / or blind holes, the so-called means also being advantageously able to cooperate with the usual means of securing the stirrups on a ski.

Incidentally, the said relief incorporates at least one ferromagnetic element intended for cooperate with a corresponding ferromagnetic element supported by the stirrup.

The means of connection between the ski and stirrups can be applied to all kinds of skis of the type of those mentioned above, whatever their width, such as for example, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, monoskiing, surfing, water skiing, and more general skis and boards used in sports sliding and nautical.

So a ski of the invention may include a single slide in case it is of small width, such as for cross-country skiing and / or an alpine ski, or a couple of slides for more skis wide, such as monoski and surf, the slides can be either side by side for the monoski by example, either as an extension of each other for the surf for example.

Besides, according to forms alternatives for making a ski of the invention in depending on its application, the elongated relief is either straight, or circular, and can extend according to the length of the ski and / or obliquely.

  • The present invention will be better understood and details will be apparent from the description which will be given of preferred embodiments in relation to the figures of the appended plates in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective representation of a ski belonging to the prior art,
  • FIGS. 2 to 4 are schematic views respectively from the front, from above and in section of a preferred embodiment of a ski of the invention,
  • FIGS. 5 to 7 are schematic views from the front, from above and in section respectively of another embodiment,
  • FIGS. 8 to 11 are schematic perspective representations of skis provided respectively with different discrete positioning means of fixing stirrups,
  • Figs. 12 to 16 are respective illustrations of different applications,
  • FIGS. 17 to 20 are sectional views illustrating different respective means for obtaining a ski of the invention,
In Fig. 1, a ski 2 has a relief 4 intended to cooperate by fitting with a corresponding relief 6 formed in the plate 8 of stirrups of attachment 10 and 12, as described by the patent EP 0035343 (SHEKTER)

This relief is protruding on the upper face 14 of ski 2 intended to receive the stirrups 10 and 12, the transverse faces 16 and 18 of said relief 4 participating in the connection means between ski 2 and the plate 8 of brackets 10 and 12.

It is obvious that such a ski structure offers connecting surfaces with insufficient fixing brackets 10 and 12, and do not allows neither to adjust 1 the position of the plate 8 according to the length of ski 2, nor to adjust 3 the position of front stirrups 12 and rear 10 relative to each other to adjust depending on the size of the user, or guide 5 the stirrups 10 and 12 transversely to the ski 2 in view of the adjustment of their position relative to the axis longitudinal median thereof.

Figs. 2 to 20 illustrate a ski 2 having an elongated relief 20, projecting from the upper face 14 of the ski 2, the large faces 22, 24 and 26 of said elongated relief 20 being participants means of link with the stirrups. We will understand by large faces the longitudinal faces of the elongated relief, both its faces side 22 and 24 as its upper face 26.

Note in figs. 2 to 4 on the one hand and in figs. 5 to 7 on the other hand that the relief elongated 20 can be either of the male type (fig. 2 to 4), or of female type (fig. 5 to 7) in relation to the complementary relief of the stirrup, the elongated relief 20 being formed in the latter case of two walls 28 and 30 facing each other.

8 to 11, the relief elongated 20 comprises discrete positioning means (discontinuous) stirrups, said means being intended for cooperate with the means of subjugation which are generally provided with stirrups. These means of positioning and subjugation are for example consisting of a rack 32 (fig. 8 and 9) and / or holes blind, such as 34 (fig. 10 and 11), arranged on the faces side 22 and 24 (fig. 8 and 10) or upper 26 (fig. 9 and 11) elongated relief 20.

2 to 7, the relief elongated 20 has a dovetail section, its large lateral races 22 and 24 overhanging the face upper 14 of ski 2, while in FIGS. 8 to 11, the elongated relief 20 is a parallelepiped. Note however that the provisions described concerning the said means of discrete positioning 32 and / or 34 are possible for reliefs 20 of various cross-section, such as those represented in figs. 2 to 7.

12 to 16, the applications of a ski of the invention are diverse and numerous: like cross-country skiing and alpine skiing shown in fig. 2 to 7, a ski the invention can still find its application in the monoski (fig. 12) or in surfing (fig. 13 to 16).

13) as a pair of reliefs 21 and 23 -or more still- (figs 12,14 to 16), than the relief 20 can be rectilinear and extend along the length of ski 2 (fig. 1 to 12, 15) or obliquely (fig. 13 and 14), and that the relief 20 can be of conformation circular, in half moon for example (fig. 16).

In figs. 17 to 20, the relief elongated 20 is formed from an insert 36, the latter being made from either a metallic material or one of the materials from which the different layers of the ski, such as a resin and / or a composite material.

17, the insert is reported during thermoforming of ski 2 to find coated by the outer layer 38 of the latter, while on Fig. 18 the insert 36 is crimped into the ski 2, and that on the fig. 19 the insert 36 is clipped inside a notch 40 formed in ski 2 and possibly glued; however, the insert could simply be glued to a location 42 prepared on the upper face 14 of ski 2.

We were able to observe, at the description just made of embodiments of the present invention, that these forms resume in their main characteristic that of Figures 2A and 2D of the patent application FR 9211002 (HUDRY) whose priority is claimed in the present international application, the say Figures 2A and 2D of French demand being found respectively in Figures 6-7 and 3-4 of the application for international patent; other demand realizations French were abandoned.

Although we have described and shown preferred embodiments it must be understood that the scope of the present invention is not limited to these forms but that it extends to any ski with the characteristics set out above.
