Abstract

The receiver converts digital signals into traffic information using a table. The signals from the decoder are fed via a data link to a navigation system with a route data memory. The navigation system contains the table and generates the traffic information. The navigation system converts the traffic information into acoustic form via a speech memory and can output the traffic information in visual form. The information is recorded in map section form. The navigation system feeds the traffic information into the planned route and can store at least some of the digital signals.

Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Funksignalempfänger für Kraftfahrzeuge mit den Merkmalen, die im Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1 angegeben sind.The invention relates to a radio signal receiver for motor vehicles with the features that are specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Die Verkehrsinformationen sind in der Fachwelt unter der Bezeichnung TMC (traffic message channel) bekannt. Probleme eines derartigen Rundfunkempfängers bestehen hinsichtlich der Anpassung oder der Änderungen der Tabelle für die zugrundeliegenden Standards und der Daten, der für die Codierung und Decodierung der digitalen Signale verwendet werden. Darunter sind i.w. Ortscodes und Standardtexte zu verstehen. Ein Rundfunkempfänger als Funksignalempfänger der eingangs genannten Art ist aus der DE-OS 35 36 820 bekannt, der selbst in einem Festwertspeicher die Ortscodes und Standardtexte enthält und der die übertragene Codes entziffert und daraus eine Sprachinformation bildet. Dabei ist eine Anpassung z.B. an einen geänderten Standard nicht möglich.The traffic information is known in the technical field under the name TMC (traffic message channel). In der EP 0 580 617 B1 ist ein Rundfunkempfänger beschrieben, bei dem versucht wird, dem Problem auf folgende Weise zu Leibe zu rücken; In den Rundfunkempfänger kann eine Chipkarte eingeschoben werden, die in einem Datenspeicher die Ortscodes sowie zusätzliche Daten zur Umsetzung der digitalen Signale enthält. Durch Austausch der Chipkarte ist dabei eine Anpassung an geänderte Standards sowie geänderte Straßenverhältnisse und Ortscodes möglich. Ändern sich Ortsbezeichnungen, so läßt sich dies durch Verwendung einer neuen Chipkarte berücksichtigen. Ein derartiger Rundfunkempfänger ist jedoch aufwendig, da er einen Chipkartenleser besitzen muß. Anpassungen und Änderungen lassen sich ohne weiteres in Verbindung mit entsprechenden Modifikationen des Navigationssystems durch Verwendung eines neuen Routendatenspeichers mit entsprechend geänderter Tabelle für die TMC-Informationen durchführen. Andererseits läßt sich bei einer Änderung von Ortsbezeichnungen die notwendige Anpassung für die RDS/TMC-Informationen gleich miterledigen. Auch die Verbindung fremdsprachlicher Texte zur Wiedergabe der Verkehrsinformationen läßt sich durch Verwendung einer entsprechend ausgebildeten Tabelle im Navigationssystem realisieren.The traffic information is now reproduced using the navigation system.
