- Sign holder for identification signs to identify objects with curved surfaces, with a sign carrier (1) consisting of a base plate (2) made by means of a continuous plastic extrusion method or plastic injection moulding method and pairs of sign grooves (3,4) affixed to the base plate (2) with parallel spacing projecting from the front of the plate (5), with the open sides of the grooves facing each other to insert the edges (S1) of identification signs (S), whereby the base plate (2) is designed for fastening to objects (28), characterised in thata) the sign holder encloses an adapter (10) to fasten the base plate (2) to objects (28);b) parallel adapter grooves (8) are provided on the rear of the plate (7) which serve to hold the rail edges (9) of the adapter (10);c) the adapter (10) consists of a single or multi-part rail (13) with rail edges (9) and a central fastening body (14) which forms passages (15,16) for a band strap (29) as a means of fastening;d) the central fastening body (14) has a higher superstructure than the rail parts (13) which rest against this on both sides in the adapter direction in a flange-type manner; ande) the fastening body (14) has a depression in the middle on the support side (19) for the object (28) designed in such a way to create retaining grooves (22,23) vertical to each other.
- Sign holder according to claim 1, characterised in that the distance (B) between the adapter grooves (8) is identical for all sign carrier configurations.
- Sign holder according to claim 1, characterised in that the flange-shaped rail parts (13) of the adapter are provided with holding holes (13a) through which expansion mandrels (25) can be pushed into the holes (12) in the base plate (2) in the condition of delivery.
- Sign holder according to claim 3, characterised in that the expansion mandrels (25) can be broken off.
- Sign holder according to one or more of the claims claim 1 to 4, characterised in that the base plate (2) is provided with rows of holes (12) at equal distances (A) between the adapter grooves (8) whereby the hole spacing (A) corresponds to a part of the hole spacing of the adapter (10).
- Sign holder according to claim 5, characterised in that the space between consecutive holes is approx. 8 mm.
- Sign holder according to one or more of the claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the adapter (10) is an injection-moulded plastic part.
- Sign holder according to claim 7, characterised in that the adapter (10) is injection-moulded of polyamide.
- Sign holder according to claim 7, characterised in that the adapter (10) is injection-moulded of a plastic such as ABS MOD.
