Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cover for plaster expansion joints, preferably for exterior walls of buildings, according to the preamble of
Similar covers are known from EP 0 288 673 B1. The fundamental disadvantage of these constructions is that the butt joint of the plaster layer and the profile strip, which is sensitive to moisture absorption, is left unprotected to the effects of weather and weathering. At the joint of the plaster layer and the profile strip, there are always two materials that differ in their structure and properties. If, for example, a thermoplastic and plastering mortar rub or separate at the common border, depending on the dilatation, they are subject to the progressive crevice formation at this point. The formation of crevices, however, promotes the dampening of the plaster layer, which fails due to the explosive effect of frost in winter by crumbling. The common thermoplastics react to the sun's rays with aging; they become increasingly discolored and become brittle. People were used to accepting all these disadvantages with the wear and tear of the buildings, or to regard them as a recurring task of renovation. Only since the renovation of old buildings was recognized as an urgent economic and ecological problem because of the inferior thermal insulation of the building substance has been asked about the exterior insulation of buildings with insulating plaster. However, an insulating plaster that is three, four, or five times thicker and a little more expensive than ordinary mortar plaster only fulfills its task if, despite the weather, it remains dry in the long run.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of
The advantages achieved by the invention are that the construction can be implemented easily and inexpensively despite the high demands and can be amortized thanks to the durability and / or the reduction in heating costs.

The
As FIG. 2 shows, the
The expansion joint profile 2.1 is glued to the structure 10.1 with the insulating plaster 3.3. The plaster layer 3.1 is applied to the insulation plaster 3.3 as weather protection. So that the plaster joint (4) of the insulating plaster 3.3 and the plaster layer 3.1 remains open, a plaster web 12 is placed on the leg ends 5.5 of the plaster profile. The cleaning web 12 shown in FIG. 3a remains in the construction joint in the sense of a lost formwork. Another possibility is to use a plastering bridge, in accordance with the full width of the plastering joint, in a tried and tested way.
In FIG. 3b,
