Description

The present invention relates to a device for locking end regions of at least one shoelace.

Proposals for such devices are described in EP-0 314 628 A2, FR 1 518 038, DE 42 09 425 C1 and US 3,500,508, US 3,345,707 and US 948 071. The devices described in the cited documents are intended in particular for children of kindergarten age who have not yet learned how to lace shoelaces independently and are intended to make it easier or unnecessary to lace up shoes.

However, the known devices have a number of disadvantages. The known devices often consist of a relatively large number of individual parts, a fact which increases the production costs and can lead to early wear of the devices. In particular, some of the known devices have spring means for locking the shoelaces, so that when the spring properties of the spring means decrease, the devices become unusable. Furthermore, the known devices fix the shoelaces only in a relatively small area of the shoelace, with the result that the fixation of the shoelaces is relatively weak and a large part of the shoelaces remains accessible without protection. This led to problems, in particular with high-heeled footwear with long shoelaces.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing an improved device for locking laces which avoids the disadvantages of the known devices. This object is achieved according to the invention by a device for locking laces, which is characterized by the following features:
a base element containing a first sheet and a hub protruding from the first sheet and at least two openings spaced from the hub in the first sheet; and
a cap element containing a second sheet which is substantially spaced apart from the first sheet of the base element and at least two openings in the second sheet,
wherein the cap element and the base element are connected to one another in such a way that the cap element and the base element are rotatable relative to one another and in at least one position of the cap element relative to the base element two openings of the base element interact with two further openings of the cap element such that an end region of a shoelace through a A pair of cooperating openings and another end region of the same shoelace or a further shoelace can be passed through another pair of interacting openings and the end regions can be wound onto the hub by rotating the cap element relative to the base element and / or by rotating the base element relative to the cap element.

The winding up of the end regions of the shoelace enables a secure and uncomplicated locking of the end regions of the shoelaces, which are thus largely protected against wear due to kinking, shearing or tearing. The device according to the invention enables the end regions of the shoelace to be wound up, for example, by simply rotating the cap element relative to the base element, so that further individual parts, in particular spring means, can be dispensed with. This permits simple and wear-free handling of the device according to the invention.

It is advantageous if the end region of one or more shoelaces can be wound onto one another in a crossing manner by rotating the cap element relative to the base element and / or by rotating the base element relative to the cap element.

It is preferred if two openings are provided in each of the first flat structure of the base element and in the second flat structure of the cap element, two openings in the first flat structure of the base element and in the cap element preferably being diametrically opposed and at the same distance from the hub .

It is particularly preferred if the openings are as far apart as possible from the hub and are therefore preferably arranged at the outer end of the first and second flat structure.

In a preferred development of the device according to the invention, the first flat structure of the base element and / or the second flat structure of the cap element has an edge area in such a way that the first and the second flat structure touch and a closed unit consisting of the cap element and the base element is present. This protects the end regions of the shoelaces from dirt and external influences, which results in greater safety when using the device according to the invention (e.g. walking through scrub or undergrowth).

It is further preferred if the first flat structure of the base element is provided with a bead-shaped, elastic edge. The bead-shaped, elastic edge allows the device according to the invention to be adapted well to the wearer's footwear, which results in pleasant wearing properties Consequence. In addition, the bead-shaped, elastic edge can be designed so that it cooperates with the edge of the cap element, so that there is a tight seal of the device according to the invention.

It is particularly preferred if the second flat structure of the cap element is detachably attached to the hub. In a preferred development of the device according to the invention, the hub has a bore and the second flat structure of the cap element is rotatably connected to the base element by means of a pin-shaped fastening means which can be inserted into the bore in the hub.

It is particularly preferred if the hub has a circumferential groove for receiving shoelaces. During the first rotations of the cap element relative to the base element, some areas of the two laces bind in the circumferential groove and are secured with the remaining ends of the shoelaces by further upward or angling. This creates a particularly secure locking of the laces. If the circumferential groove is provided with teeth and / or the circumferential groove has a V-shaped cross-section which tapers towards the inside of the hub, this effect is further enhanced.

To simplify handling of the device according to the invention, the cap element preferably has a profile on its upper side in order to facilitate twisting of the cap element. It is also useful if the cap member and the base member have markings to facilitate passage of the end portions of at least one shoelace through the pairs of cooperating openings of the base member and the cap member.

Dies erleichtert ein Verdrehen des Kappenelements 5 gegenüber dem Basiselement 6.1 shows a device 1 according to the invention and its possible arrangement on a high-shaft shoe 2. The high-shaft shoe 2 is fastened to the foot or leg of the wearer by means of the shoelace 3. The device 1 according to the invention is provided for locking the shoelace ends 4. The device 1 according to the invention comprises the cap element 5 and the base element 6. The base element 6 has a first flat structure with a hub projecting from the first flat structure and at least two openings in the first flat structure spaced from the hub (FIGS. 2 and 3). The cap element 5 has a second flat structure 7, which is rotatably connected to the base element 6 at the hub (FIGS. 2 and 3) of the base element 6 and lies opposite the first flat structure of the base element 6, with at least two spaced openings 11 in the second flat structure 7 are provided so that at least one position of the cap element 5 relative to the base element 6, two openings in the first sheet of the base element (FIGS. 2 and 3) are aligned with two openings 11 in the second sheet 7 of the cap element 6. To improve the wearing properties of the device 1 according to the invention, there is a bead-shaped edge 8 on the base element 6 appropriate. Furthermore, the second flat structure 7 of the cap element 5 has an edge 9 on which a profile 10 is provided on its upper side. This facilitates turning the cap element 5 with respect to the base element 6.

When using the device 1 according to the invention, only two openings 11 in the second flat structure 7 of the cap element 5 are to be brought into line with two openings in the first flat structure of the base element (FIGS. 2 and 3). The marking 21 on the cap element 5 and the marking 22 on the edge 8 of the base element 6 serve this purpose. If the two markings match, one shoelace end 4 can be passed through a pair of opposing, aligned openings 11, 17. The device 1 according to the invention is then pressed against the shoe 2 along the two shoelace ends 4. By simply rotating the cap element 5 with respect to the base element 6, the end regions 4 of a shoelace 3 are wound around the hub (FIGS. 2 and 3) of the base element 6. The end regions 4 of the shoelace 3 which are guided through opposite, aligned openings are drawn into the device 1 according to the invention. The short remnants of the shoelace ends 4 which then still protrude from the openings 11 of the cap element 5 can be knotted or provided with universal tips.

Fig. 2 shows a section along the line II-II of Fig.1 through the inventive device of Fig.1. As already shown in connection with FIG. 1, the device 1 according to the invention comprises the cap element 5 and the base element 6. The base element 6 has the first flat structure 12 with a hub 13 projecting from the first flat structure 12. The hub 13 has a circumferential groove 14 a set of 15 teeth. The first sheet further has two openings 17 spaced from the hub 13 Cap member 5 has a second sheet 7, which is rotatably connected to the base member 6 via the hub 13 of the base member 6 and opposite the first sheet 12 of the base member 6, at least two spaced openings 11 being provided in the second sheet 7 so that at At least one position of the cap element 5 with respect to the base element 6, two openings in the first flat structure 12 of the base element 6 are aligned with two openings 11 in the second flat structure 7 of the cap element 5.

If the end regions 4 of the shoelace 3 have been guided through aligned pairs of openings 11, 17 and the cap element 5 has been rotated by 180 ° relative to the base element, the situation shown in FIG. 2 results. During the first rotations of the cap element 5 with respect to the base element 6, some regions of the two end regions 4 of the shoelace 3 cross and jam in the circumferential groove 14 and are secured by the further upward or angling over with the remaining shoelace ends 4. This results in a particularly secure locking of the shoelaces 3. Since the circumferential groove 14 is provided with teeth 15 and has a V-shaped cross section which tapers towards the inside of the hub, this effect is further enhanced.

Furthermore, the bead-shaped, elastic edge 8 is designed such that it cooperates with the edge 9 of the cap element 5, so that the device 1 according to the invention is sealed. The bead-shaped, elastic edge 8 can be attached to the first sheet 12 of the base element by means of an adhesive. The edge region 9 of the cap element 5 is designed such that it touches the first flat structure 12 of the base element 6, so that a closed unit consisting of the cap element 5 and the base element 6 is present. As a result, the end regions 4 of the shoelaces 3 are protected from contamination and external influences protected, which results in greater safety when using (for example walking through undergrowth or undergrowth) the device 1 according to the invention.

For secure but releasable attachment of the cap element 5 to the hub 13 of the base element 6, the second flat structure 7 of the cap element 5 has a projection 23 which has a bore 24 with a Has winding 25 for receiving the screw 16. The projection 23 fits into a recess 26 in the hub 13 of the base element 6. The hub 13 also contains a bore 18 into which screw 16 can be inserted, so that it can be screwed into the turn 25 in the projection 23 of the cap element 5. When the cap element 5 is rotated relative to the base element, the screw 16 in the bore 18 of the hub 13 rotates with the cap element 5.

The base element 6 has on its outer circumference a guide 27 in which the edge region 9 of the cap element 5 is guided, so that there is a closed unit consisting of the cap element 5 and the base element 6.
