Description

The invention preferably relates to a radial impeller on an electric motor, in particular on a vacuum cleaner electric motor, with an impeller disc on which preferably curved, one inside of the curvature and blades having a curved outside are formed, being in the impeller disk Through openings are formed.

Such a radial impeller is for example from DE-OS 25 50 481 known. In the well-known radial impeller by means of the openings formed near the center an improvement in the delivery rate of the radial fan can be achieved. Next is also on the DE-PS24 18 826 to point out. Here are also close to the center of the radial fan through openings in the impeller disc educated. Even with this well-known Radial impeller becomes a through the openings Striving to improve performance. Finally, for State of the art still refer to DE-A1 41 41 359. In the radial impeller known from this publication are radially inside, assigned to a foot area individual blades each have a through opening. Here is through these openings aspiration back into the suction area.

A particular problem with such radial impellers, especially those used in household machines how a vacuum cleaner is installed, is this given that due to the high flow rates there is a clear development of noise is. The object of the invention is here one To remedy the situation.

This object is achieved with the subject matter of claim 1, it is based on the fact that the through openings assigned to a blade on the outside of the curve are trained. They are general Through openings on the pressure side of a bucket educated. Surprisingly, it has been shown that by forming a plurality of through openings, over a radius line, possibly also a curved one running line between the center and circumference of the Radial impeller, namely when attached to a paddle wheel is further adapted and there in particular on the Pressure side runs, a noticeable noise reduction can be achieved. This noise reduction is by no means Enlargement of the dimensions of the radial fan or with complex measures connected to the radial impeller. It can be used in practically any existing fan design to get integrated. There has been a significant reduction the sound pressure level in various tests shown. By the number and arrangement of the openings can also optimize for speed, and the individual construction of a radial impeller can be achieved. With a conventional radial impeller For an electric motor of a vacuum cleaner, for example . a significant noise reduction in the range of 200 up to 350 revolutions per minute. Overall will this effect attributed to the fact that due to the mentioned through openings the pressure fluctuations the tongue, i.e. the radially outermost area of the impeller or the impeller wheel can be reduced. There is a more even speed profile on the tongue of the impeller. According to the invention it is not important that the openings are close to the center are trained. Rather, it is essential that the Through openings near the blades, in the pressure area of the blades, namely formed on the outside of the curve are. It is particularly important that one blade has a plurality of through openings assigned. This majority of the through openings preferably spreads over essentially the entire extending towards a radial Length of a paddle wheel. Of further importance is the Overall context, the cross-sectional area, which through the through openings with respect to a - if necessary projected - base area of the impeller disc is taken. This from the through openings occupied area is preferably in the range of 0.01 to 10% of the specified area of the impeller disk. More preferably, the area is in the range of 0.1 to 5%. The addressed projected area is especially important for radial impellers which the impeller disc is not flat, but has a curved course. Regarding one individual opening can further preferably be provided that an opening axis of this opening is pointed Angle to an area of the fan wheel runs. This will extend the Extension of the through opening even in the wall the impeller disc is reached. This can also continue a targeted suction behavior has been achieved. Also it is preferred that a through opening is one has enlarged cross-section. E.g. can the through opening be funnel-shaped. In detail it is advantageous to use the larger cross section to form such a passage opening on the blade side. The appearance of the base of the through opening suitably is circular. But it can also be square and oval bases. In this It is also advantageous to look at the context Orientate manufacturing opportunities.

Hierbei zeigt:

The invention is further explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing, which, however, only represents an exemplary embodiment. Here shows:
Fig. 1
a rear view of an impeller;
Fig. 2
a side view of the impeller shown in FIG. 1;
Fig. 3
a front view of the impeller shown in FIG. 1;
Fig. 4

Vorzugsweise liegt der Abstand a im Bereich von 1/4 bis 2/3 des Radius R.Is shown and described initially with reference to Fig. 1 is an impeller 1 with blades 2, which in their radial extension are curved. The blades 2 have an outside curvature 3 and an inside curvature 4. On the outside of the curve 3 are near or adjacent to a base line 5 of a blade 2 a A plurality of through openings 6 are formed. The Through openings 6 follow the curvature of the impeller. It can also be seen that the through openings 6 only with a certain radial distance a an axis of rotation A (see also FIG. 2) of the impeller 1 begin. The distance a is in the embodiment about half of a radius R of the impeller. The distance a is preferably in the range of 1/4 up to 2/3 of the radius R.

Bei dieser Ausführungsform sind die radialinnersten Durchgangsöffnungen 6 im Bereich einer Fußlinie 9 der Nabe 7 ausgebildet.how in particular but also from the perspective 4 results, it is the illustrated impeller 1 to such with a central hub 7, which is approximately conical up to the Blower wheel disc 8 expanded. In this embodiment are the radially innermost through openings 6 in Area of a base line 9 of the hub 7 is formed.

In detail are in the illustrated embodiments on the outside of the curvature of each blade 2 four through openings 6 are formed.

The same relationships are also shown Fig. 3 can be seen.

Die staubbeladene Saugluft wird weiter in einen dem Elektromotor 10 nachgeschalteten Staubbeutel geführt, was im einzelnen nicht dargestellt ist.5 is the installation of a such radial impeller 1 in a vacuum cleaner, the is only shown in sections. In particular, there is one in the vacuum cleaner - another one Detail, not shown - arranged electric motor 10. The electric motor 10 drives via a shaft 10 ' the radial impeller 1. By means of the impeller 1 Air sucked in the direction of arrow P and through radial Distribution deflected in the direction of arrow P1. The Dust-laden suction air is fed into the electric motor 10 downstream dust bags, which in individual is not shown.
