Tire performance characteristics G * and Tan δ were also measured on the vulcanized samples using the standard technologies to measure these features listed above. The results are shown in the following table:
Tabelle 4Table 4
Das jeweilige Temperatur¬ profil gestattet die Verwendung dieses Rußes zum "Maßschneidern" von Reifenzusammensetzungen, insbesondere wenn man spezielle Ruße mit hohem Abriebwiderstand in Kombination mit dem beanspruchten neuen Ruß verwendetAs can be seen from the last table, the carbon black / rubber composition according to this invention shows a steeper temperature profile for the tan δ than regular tread soot N339. Conversely, the temperature profile for the G * value for the inventive composition is as steep as for regular tread soot. The tire tread composition of this invention thus has a high hysteresis at low temperatures and a very low hysteresis at high Temperatures. This allows the defined carbon black to be mixed into a tire tread composition, possibly together with other carbon blacks, so that both the grip is enhanced when the rubber composition is wet and the rolling resistance is reduced at high temperature. This provides an advantageous combination of properties of a carbon black / The particular temperature profile permits the use of this carbon black for "tailoring" tire compositions, especially when using special carbon blacks with high abrasion resistance in combination with the claimed new carbon black
Other properties are kept at an acceptable level and can be adjusted.
