Abstract

In a web-fed rotary offset printing machine with bridge printing units (6,7) for multi-color printing, the task is to achieve a low overall height with good accessibility. According to the invention, this is achieved by bridge printing units (6, 7) with horizontally running ink roller strands (38).

Description

The invention relates to a web-fed rotary offset printing machine with bridge printing units for multi-color printing.

A company brochure from MAN - Roland Druckmaschinen AG, Offenbach, Main (DE) (RA GEO 08.93.1) has made known tower-type printing units arranged in an H shape, e.g. B. H on H as a so-called figure of eight tower. Here, an H-shaped printing unit consists of two U-shaped printing units arranged in mirror image to one another, which is also referred to as a U-printing unit and each has four bridges.

A disadvantage of these pressure units arranged one above the other in tower construction is that, for. For example, between the two H-shaped printing units placed one on top of the other, the paper web to be printed has to travel a relatively long way between the printing points, which can lead to registration problems. In addition, the above-mentioned printing units have a large overall height, so that extremely high buildings are needed.

The invention has for its object to provide a web-fed rotary offset printing press with bridge printing units for multi-color printing in a low overall height with good accessibility of the web-fed rotary offset printing press.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

The following advantages are achieved in particular by the invention:
The web-fed rotary offset printing machine according to the invention has a low overall height and thus less weight, which among other things also reduces the costs for the buildings and the machine foundation. Furthermore, the costs for a possible encapsulation of the machine are reduced due to the lower overall height. Such encapsulation can be important for reasons of sound insulation or for heat recovery in connection with air purification. Due to the lower overall height during start-up and braking, e.g. B. when changing the printing plate, the amount of waste is reduced. Furthermore, by reducing the overall height, the vibrations generated in a printing press are reduced. In addition, the so-called fan-out effect is due to the reduced overall height of the printing press and when using a wet offset printing process weakened in its effect. Conventional printing processes reduce registration problems.

The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment. The accompanying drawing shows a schematic side view of a web-fed rotary printing press according to the invention in a four-tower design.

A web-fed rotary offset printing machine for multicolor printing has at least four printing units 1, 2, 3, 4 in a known manner. The first and third printing units 1, 3 together with the second and fourth printing units 2, 4 each form a so-called bridge printing unit 6, 7 in a U-shape. By placing the second bridge printing unit 7 on the first bridge printing unit 6, a four-color printing tower 8, a so-called H printing tower 8, results. Each printing unit 1, 2, 3, 4 essentially consists in a known manner of a rubber cylinder 9, which also acts as an impression cylinder , acts, a forme cylinder 11, for. B. a printing plate cylinder, an inking unit 12 and a dampening unit 13th
When using printing plates which are suitable for waterless planographic printing, the dampening unit 13 can be omitted.

In side frames 14, 16 (the associated second parallel side frames not ), two printing units 1, 2, 3, 4 are arranged approximately opposite each other approximately symmetrically with respect to a vertically running printing material web 17. The printing material web 17 is printed on both sides by the rubber cylinders 9 of a bridge printing unit 6, 7 each touching the printing material web 17. The respective associated forme cylinder 11 cooperates with these rubber cylinders 9 and receives printing ink 18 from the assigned inking unit 12 and, if appropriate, dampening solution 19 from the corresponding dampening unit 13.
The individual dampening units 13 can be designed, for example, as spray dampening units, each of which has a dampening agent application roller 21 which bears against the respective forme cylinder 11. This dampening solution application roller 21 is connected to a dampening solution friction cylinder 22. The dampening solution 19 applied by means of a spraying unit 23 (not described in more detail) is metered onto this dampening solution friction cylinder 22 by a dampening solution metering roller 24.

The inking units 12 of the printing units 1, 2, 3, 4 each consist of two inking rollers 26, 27 abutting the respective forme cylinder 11, each of which is connected to an inking cylinder 28. This ink rubbing cylinder 28 and a further ink rubbing cylinder 31, as well as a film roller 33, are each connected to an ink transfer roller 29, 32. An ink duct 34 leads to the film roller 33, the printing ink 18 located in an ink fountain.
The ink transfer roller 29, 32 and ink rubbing cylinder 28, 31 of a respectively described ink roller train 37 of the inking units 12 are arranged in the lower bridge printing unit 6 of the H printing tower 8, viewed in side view, to run approximately vertically, ie approximately parallel to the printing material web 17.
In contrast, in the upper bridge printing unit 7 of the H printing tower, the ink transfer rollers 29, 32 and ink rubbing cylinders 28, 31 of a respectively described ink roller train 38 of the inking units 12 are arranged approximately horizontally, that is to say running approximately perpendicular to the printing material web 17, in the side view.

The number of ink rollers of the respective ink roller train 37, 38 can of course be selected. The vertical or horizontal arrangement of the inking rollers can refer not only to the ink transfer rollers 29, 31 and inking cylinders 28, 31 but to all inking rollers of the entire respective inking roller train 37, 38. A further bridge pressure unit 6 can, for example, be placed on this described H pressure tower 8. This bridge printing unit 6 corresponds to the lower bridge printing unit 6 of the H-printing tower 8 and thus their inking units 12 also have a vertical arrangement of the Ink roller train 37 on.

In the example shown, a second H-printing tower 39 consisting of two bridge printing units 6, 7 is placed on the first H-printing tower 8, the ink roller strands 37 of the lower bridge printing unit 6 again being arranged vertically and the inking roller strands 38 of the upper bridge printing unit 7 being arranged horizontally. This results in a so-called aft tower.

The number of bridge printing units 6, 7 placed one on top of the other can be selected, wherein, viewed in the vertical direction, bridge printing units 6 with vertically running ink roller strands 37 are alternately arranged with bridge printing unit 7 with horizontally running ink roller strands 38.

Foldable steps 41 are provided for the operation and maintenance of the H pressure towers 8, 39.
