Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a support for radiating panels.
- It is known that there are essentially two kinds of support for radiating panels: one uses wall fixing means and the other uses ground resting feet.
- The latter kind is used mainly for steel radiating panels and is substantially constituted by a ground resting foot, generally of the telescopic type for height adjustment, provided with means for fixing to the radiating panel.
- Said fixing means are generally constituted by elements that are inserted in the space between the elements of the panel, rest laterally on them, and are provided with couplings and resting surfaces that couple to the fittings for connection to the hydraulic circuit.
- Accordingly, these fixing means are constrained by the position and shape of the fittings, and this limits their flexibility in operation.
- It should furthermore be noted that this type of support is constructively relatively complicated and not particularly easy to assemble.
- WO 94/04875 is representative of the preamble of claim 1.
- A principal aim of the present invention is to provide a support for radiating panels wherein fixing is independent of the fittings for connection to the hydraulic system.
- A consequent primary object of the invention is to provide a support fixable to any desired point of the panel.
- Another important object is to provide a fixing device particularly handy and simple.
- Another important object is to provide a device constructively simpler than current ones.
- Another object is to provide a device that can be manufactured at low cost with conventional equipment and systems.
- This aim, these objects are achieved by the features residing in the characterising portion of claim 1.
- Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, illustrated only by way of non-limitative example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
- figure 1 is a perspective view of the support according to the invention;
- figure 2 is a front perspective view of a radiating panel provided with two supports;
- figure 3 is a partially sectional side view of the support;
- figure 4 is a partially sectional front view of the support;
- figure 5 is a detail view of the support in installed condition.
-
- With reference to the above figures, a support for radiating panels according to the invention is generally designated by the
reference numeral 10 and comprises aground resting foot 11, with a plate-likelower base 12 and with a telescopic post formed by twotubular elements screws 15. - The
foot 11 is provided, in an upward region, with means for fixing to the radiating panel, designated by thereference numeral 16; said means are constituted by a plate-like base 17 having a rectangular plan and being welded to the end of theelement 14 of the telescopic post. - The
base 17 forms a supporting region for theradiating panel 16, is wide enough to contain the lower edges of theelements 18, and hasend flaps 19 folded upwardly so as to form lateral supporting elements for said elements. - Corresponding
wings 20 protrude at right angles from the other two sides of thebase 17; two mutually opposite and substantially vertical first-class levers 22 are pivoted to eachwing 20 by means of threadedpivots 21 in such a position as to fit between theelements 18 of theplate 17; in each one of said levers, theend 23 where force is applied is in a median position, adjacent to thebase 17, and theend 24 where resistance is applied is located outwardly and is hook-shaped so as to rest and rigidly couple against a corresponding one of theelements 18. - The
ends 23 of thelevers 22 of both pairs are arranged side by side and have coaxially arranged holes wherein apivot 25 is inserted; the tip of ascrew 26, driven into a corresponding threadedhole 27 of thebase 17, rests on said pivot in a position adjacent to each pair of levers. - The ends of the
pivot 25 are contained, and are slideable, within corresponding central guidingslots 28 of eachwing 20. - By tightening the
screw 26, said screw is pushed onto thepivot 25, producing the simultaneous movement of eachlever 22 and the rotation of theends 24 towards theelements 18 of theradiating panel 16. - Accordingly, the
lever 22 pushes against eachelement 18, and this pushing action is contrasted by the resting coupling of theflap 19 of thebase 17. - This, combined with the engagement provided by the
end 24, firmly fixes thesupport 10 to theradiating panel 16. - At this point it should be noted that the support is fixed directly to the panel and is no longer fixed to the fittings for connection to the hydraulic system; accordingly, it is free from any constraint as regards its fixing and positioning with respect to the panel.
- This has provided beneficial results also as regards the constructive configuration, which is simpler than current ones owing to its easy fixing, provided by simply tightening the
screws 26. - With particular reference to figure 2, said figure illustrates a
radiating panel 16 still enclosed in itspackage 29 and already provided with twosupports 10. - Where technical features mentioned in any claim are followed by reference signs, those reference signs have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and accordingly such reference signs do not have any limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by such reference signs.
