Definitions
- the present invention relates to a system for monitoring people on a site.
- a main object of the invention is to solve this problem.
- the unit central does not interact with the tags. She exchanges over-the-air information with transmitters portable.
- Portable transmitters are for this purpose equipped with two receivers, one for receiving the code beacon, the other for receiving information over the air transmitted by the central unit.
- the invention proposes a system to simplify the architecture of the transmitters.
- the system according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a transmitter with carrier currents connected to the central unit and emitting, at destination of tags on the power network site, information transmitted to it central unity.
- the monitoring system shown in the figure 1 is for example set up in a residence of elderly people. It has a central unit 1, as well as 2 medallions worn by residents to monitor. Each medallion 2 emits RF signals radiofrequencies intended to be received by at least one receiving unit 4, to which the central unit 1 is connected.
- Each zone Z of the monitored site is equipped with minus a beacon 3 emitting infrared IR radiation coded to be received by medallions 2.
- the code transmitted to medallions 2 includes in particular a code of location specific to each tag 3.
- the central unit 1 is connected to a unit 5 which is a carrier current transmitter, through which it communicates with the beacons 3.
- This unit 5 transmits, on the site electrical distribution network 7, frames coded conveyed by carrier currents.
- reference 6 schematically illustrates the supply of network 7 by the 220 V lines of the sector.
- the central unit 1 comprises a microcomputer 10 which manages the information received and sent via the network, as well as a printer 11 connected to the microcomputer 10.
- Beacons 3 are infrared transmitters plugged into sector sockets 9. They emit in permanence in infrared a code defining the place Z in which they are installed. They include means for programming the location code before the system is put into operation. The same tag 3 can thus be adapted to different places of installation.
- the infrared emission power is important.
- the signals are transmitted in a way omnidirectional and are received, either directly or indirectly by reflection on the walls and ceiling of the local, by any receiving medallion 2 located proximity.
- the IR signals have the essential characteristic of being arrested by material obstacles, including walls and ceilings of the premises in which they are issued, so that they are necessarily localized, unlike radiofrequency radiation, which pass through them walls and ceilings.
- a tag 3 can be a simple tag emitting only its location code.
- a tag 3 can also include means for the reception of information conveyed by the sector 7 in the form of carrier currents and for the transmission of this information to the medallions 2.
- Information can be transmitted by unit 5 generally for all tags 3.
- the tags 3 modify their emission codes so as to reissue the information received for the medallions 2.
- Tags 3 can also be addressable individually by unit 5. They include in this indeed a decoder of the frame received from the sector.
- the information received by a beacon 3 can also order a mechanism, in room Z where finds tag 3, such as a keyhole.
- Infrared information sent by beacons 3 may contain a specific acknowledgment code intended for central unit 1.
- Medallions 2 like the models existing, each includes a unit 20 for transmission of coded radio frequency signal frames.
- the show is controlled by pressing a key 21a or 21b or tearing off the holding strap 22.
- the button 21a triggers an emergency call signal; the button 21b triggers a service call signal.
- Each medallion 2 further comprises a unit of reception 23 and storage means 24 in which are stored the identification of the resident and the last location code received from a tag 3.
- a medallion 2 can always emit a location code, even if it is outside the scope transmitting beacons 3.
- the medallions 2 refer to the central unit 1 a signal which notably includes their own code as well as the message received from the tags.
- Certain transmitters can be specific.
- the transmitter used by the surveillance personnel can be a box 8 comprising a keyboard 8 a and display means 8 b allowing the surveillance personnel to dialogue with the central unit 1.
- the housing 8 also has the same features as medallions 2.
- the code generated by typing on the keyboard 8a is integrated into the general location frame and identification issued in radio frequency.
- the keyboard 8a allows in particular to callers to be identified by specific codes transmitted to the central unit 1.
- the central unit 1 can transmit to the box 8, via tags 3, messages displayed on screen 8b.
- the housing 8 may also include mobility sensors to protect personnel isolated, this box 8 transmitting a particular code in case prolonged immobilization.
- the number of receiving units 4 depends on the importance and topology of the place to be covered.
- the reception units 4 simply retransmit the information they receive. They can therefore be easily moved or their numbers changed, depending on the evolution of the installation.
- the carrier current transmitter 5 is controlled by the central unit 1.
- It can be of the general acquittal type, that is, it sends the information it receives to all the tags, these receiving and all retransmitting, by infrared emission, the code received in addition to their own location code.
- It can also be a coded transmitter, and send the information transmitted to it by the central unit on certain specific tags only.
- the tag type can then always be modified to meet specific requirements.
- the tags 3 are simply plugged into 9 sockets in rooms, apartments, premises common and places of passage of the site.
- the codes of localization of the beacons 3 are programmed thereon, during their installation on the site.
- tags 3 identifying the parts common are installed near the entrances.
- beacons being carried out without wiring, protection of outdoor areas is possible.
- Breakpoints, summer garden, gazebo, ... can be equipped as well as crossing points, paths, crossings, gates ....
- the unit central 1 Upon receipt of a call frame, the unit central 1 notifies the operator of the place of call, of the name of the caller and possibly prepare a file on this appellant.
- the speaker On site, the speaker, by entering a code on its housing 8, simply acknowledges the call if everything is in order or requests the intervention of a person specific.
- the speaker is informed by an audible signal emitted by the beacons or by its box 8, from the fact that its message has been taken into account by the central unit 1.
- the coding returned by the tags 3 on the housing 8 can correspond to a response central unit 1.
- a solution consists in having on a common place of passage (restaurant, TV room ...) means display such as a screen near a tag 3 specific verification.
- the reception of a frame in provenance of this tag 3 is recognized by the unit control unit 1 as a test and returns a message to the screen addressed by name to the sending boarder signaling that everything is in order.
- the unit central 1 updates an activity control file.
- the latter is also updated by all receptions, alarm or service, received from all transmitters 2 and 8 on site. consulting this file shows the list of transmitters 2 and 8 having not issued for a specified time, for example for 24 hours or 48 hours.
- central unit 1 triggers periodically, until acknowledged by the operator, the audible signal of tag 3 to reassure the caller.
- Putting a terminal on standby (medallion 2 or other transceiver) in a room equipped with beacons dialog allows calling and sending messages to this terminal.
- Terminal 2 by the personnel of service allows, for example, order taking meals and direct retransmission. This show being carried out from the occupant's own room allows central unit to compare demand with a scheme possibly prescribed.
- FIG. 2 shows a system of access control according to the invention. We took over for the elements of the system of figure 1 which are found on that of figure 2, the same numbering of reference increased by 100.
- This access control system notably includes a central unit 101 connected to a reception unit radio frequency 104 and a current transmission unit carriers 105 by computer links 112 and 113.
- Beacons 103 for coded radiation emission infrared, connected to sector 107, are arranged at proximity to access points, which we have represented schematically by a door P in FIG. 2.
- the people on site are equipped with boxes 108 which receive the IR frames emitted by the 103 beacons and emit RF radiation intended to be received by units 104.
- Inserting tags 103 near the points access not giving rise to an intensive passage offers an economical alternative to conventional systems by smart card or magnetic strip.
- the choice of the number and the location of the 104 RF receiving units is depending on the site configuration.
- Type of transmitting unit 105 acknowledgment general or coded, depends on the communication protocol between the staff and the central unit 101 and therefore of the type of tag 103 adopted.
- the route of the rondiers can be modified by depending on the use of the premises monitored.
- the new route will simply be redefined by moving tags in a new power outlet.
- the rondier can be informed discreetly when calling a route modification.
