Abstract

In the squirrel-cage rotor proposed, the theoretically ideal groove cross-section (3) is divided radially into four zones (5) which are displaced relative to each other alternatively in and against the direction of rotation of the rotor. This gives the groove cross-section (4) as proposed by the invention, the width of the tooth (2) between the individual grooves being the same with the groove (4) proposed by the invention as it is with the theoretically ideal groove (3). This groove shape reliably prevents the condutor rods from shifting either as they cool after the aluminium has been introduced into the grooves (1) or at high rotational speeds.

Description

Rotornut Rotor groove
The invention relates to a squirrel-cage squirrel-cage rotor which has closed grooves along the circumference of the rotor, in which aluminum rotor bars which fill the groove are arranged.
Asynchronous machines with short-circuit squirrel-cage rotors find because of their great advantages, e.g. low acquisition and operating costs, good adaptability to many different machines and low maintenance, widespread. They can be used wherever there are only low demands on the speed constancy and the turning adjustment range. In the start-up phase, no additional actuators are usually required.
With rotors with aluminum pressure or centrifugal cast cage rotors in the speed range above 6000 rpm, it happens again and again that the rotors become unbalanced due to the displacement of conductor bars in their groove. This displacement of the conductor bars occurs either when the aluminum cools down due to the strong shrinkage or during operation at high speeds.
The object of the invention is to create a squirrel-cage rotor with simple means, the conductor bars of which are fixed in their position so that no imbalance can occur even at very high speeds.
The object is achieved by the invention. The squirrel-cage squirrel-cage rotor is characterized in that the slot cross-section is designed in such a way that the rotor bar is fixed in its position by means of lugs which protrude into the ideal slot cross-section and bulges which protrude from the ideal slot cross-section. With the invention it is possible for the first time to create a groove shape for a squirrel-cage rotor which holds the rotor rod in place and thereby reliably prevents an imbalance.
One embodiment of the invention consists in that the ideally conceived slot cross section is divided in the radial direction into at least two slot sections, and that the slot sections are shifted alternately in or against the direction of rotation of the rotor, the tooth width between two adjacent slots the total height of the groove is the same. The advantage of this configuration is that both the groove cross section and the tooth width are fully preserved compared to the ideally intended groove shape.
The invention will now be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment. 1 shows a groove cross section 4 according to the invention, in which the ideally thought groove cross section 3 is dash-dotted and the groove cross section 4 according to the invention is shown with a strong border. The ideally conceived groove cross section 3 is divided in the radial direction into four groove sections 5, the groove sections 5 being alternately displaced in or against the direction of rotation of the rotor. This results in the groove cross section 4 according to the invention, the width of the tooth 2 between the individual grooves 4 according to the invention being unchanged compared to the ideally intended groove 3. This groove shape certainly prevents the conductor rod from shifting both when cooling after the aluminum has been introduced into the groove and also in high speed ranges.
