Abstract
L'invention se rapporte à un convertisseur impulsion/tonalité intelligent (CPTI) à installer dans un central téléphonique local (central d'extrémité), au niveau du circuit assurant l'alimentation en puissance (circuit d'alimentation en boucle) de l'appareil téléphonique après que les connexions entre l'appelant et l'appelé aient été établies. Le CPTI contrôle la ligne téléphonique et cherche des impulsions de cadran d'appel, et, s'il en trouve, il génère un signal multifréquence en code 2 correspondant et injecte le signal dans la ligne téléphonique au cours de l'intervalle entre impulsions. Le CPTI peut détecter les impulsions de cadran à l'aide de capteurs indirects de tension ou de courant, série ou parallèles. Tous les circuits connectés au système du central téléphonique ne devraient pas produire d'interférences ou d'affaiblissements d'insertion significatifs. Le CPTI présente même d'autres caractéristiques telles que: la détection et l'avertissement de défaillances, un canal de communication série, un affaiblisseur d'impulsions de cadran différentiées et la mise à zéro manuelle.
