Claims (5)

  1. A roll stand having two working rolls (2) mounted in the roll stand in chocks, and upper and lower supporting rolls supporting the working rolls (2) and likewise mounted in the roll stand, and also optionally intermediate rolls provided between the working and supporting rolls, the working rolls (2) being arranged in a vertical plane extending parallel to the roll axes and being adjustably mounted therein, and one of the pairs of rolls is provided with a roll bending means for bending the rolls of this pair of rolls in planes parallel to the direction of rolling,
    characterised in that
    each chock (3.1, 3.2) of the working rolls (2) is mounted to pivot about a central vertical axis (6) in the housing window of the roll stand (1) and each working roll (2) is bendable about the pivot axes (6) of its two chocks (3.1, 3.2) in the plane parallel to the direction of rolling, for which purpose the chocks (3.1, 3.2) of the working rolls (2) are provided with extensions (6) which project out of the housing window, on which extensions bending cylinders (8.1, 8.2) act which are supported on the roll housing (1) on either side of the chocks (3.1 and 3.2).
  2. A roll stand according to Claim 1, characterised in that the bending cylinders (8.1) on the dismantling side are connected positively to the extensions (6) of the chocks (3.1) with the interposition of the roll locking means (7).
  3. A roll stand according to Claim 1, characterised in that the chocks (3.1, 3.2) of the working rolls (2) are provided on both sides with bearing shells (4) facing the housing (1), which shells correspond with correspondingly-constructed guide borders (5.1, 5.2) in the housing window, the common central radius points of the guide borders (5.1, 5.2) and bearing shells (4) of each chock (3.1, 3.2) lying on the vertical axis (X) about which the chock (3.1 or 3.2) is pivotable.
  4. A roll stand according to Claim 1 to 3, characterised in that the working rolls (2) are driven.
  5. A roll stand according to one or more of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the working rolls can be bent in opposite directions.
