Im Wandbereich (WB) sind matrixartig (SP/ZE) elektrische, isolierte Leiter (L) angeordnet, an denen im Kreuzungsbereich gezielt ansteuerbare Sende- und Empfangs-Sensoren (S) angeschlossen sind, und am Bild (B) ist zumindest ein elektronischer Schaltkreis (IC) mit einer Empfangs- und Sendeeinrichtung (ES) im Erfassungsbereich eines Sensors (S) angeordnet, wobei der elektronische Schaltkreis (IC) von dem zugeordneten Sensor (S) aktiviert und zur Abgabe eines spezifischen Antwortsignals veranlaßt wird. Hierzu sind sämtliche elektrischen Leiter (L) an einer Steuer- und Auswerteeinrichtung (SAE) angeschlossen, die regelmäßig die elektronischen Schaltkreise (IC) abfragt und beim Ausbleiben eines Antwortsignals eine Alarmmeldung (AL) abgibt.
