Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a strip of connection of conductive wires with the same polarity.
  • the bar is in particular intended to perform the grounding of the connection jumper screen wire and patching telephone lines from a cable. She is mounts on line connection blocks or strips by telephone at the garters, near the edge opposite of each block or strip, on which a set of garters.
  • a such bar is constituted by a simple bar metallic, pierced with a series of holes and fixed along this or each of these opposite edges of the block or the strip.
  • a clamping screw received in each hole of the bar secures the screen wire and its connection at the bar.
  • This bar is itself connected to a earth collector which is in contact with the chassis or the metal rail, carrying a set of blocks or crimps and grounded.
  • the present invention aims to facilitate the mode connection time and reduce the connection time of a set of conductors with the same polarity and avoid possible deterioration of these wires during several disconnections and connections.
  • a wire connection strip conductors with the same polarity comprising on the one hand an elongated cradle, having a longitudinal jamb, a sole, and a series of slots, said slots being formed along said jamb, open opposite said sole and affected the positioning of said individual conducting wires in each of them, and on the other hand a longitudinal clamp of clamping, hinged mounting on one end of said jamb around a retaining finger passing through said jamb and intended to style, in the so-called closed position, said leg and said conducting wires positioned in the slots, in which at least one of the elements defined by said cradle and said clamp is metallic and brought to said polarity.
  • the bar comprises a cradle 1 or base, of elongated shape, provided a series of slots 2 for positioning the wires conductors in each of them, and a clamp 3 elastic covering the cradle and more particularly its slots. At least one of these two elements 1 and 3 is metallic, but preferably clamp 3 is alone metal and plastic cradle.
  • the bar includes, in addition, a metal tab 4, ensuring that it is placed desired polarity, especially ground or earth.
  • the cradle 1 also allows the fixing of the strip on equipment, such as a block or strip connection of telephone lines and garters.
  • It has a seat sole 5 and a leg transverse 6 carrying the slots 2.
  • it is L-shaped, with the sole 5 little protruding on one side along the jamb 6, and comprises, on the other side of the jamb, two almost 7 fixing lugs terminal and largely protruding, belonging as such as the sole.
  • it may be of section in T overturned with the protruding fixing lugs on the sole, for easy attachment. Screws 8, received in a hole 9 of each of the fixing lugs, ensure fixing the bar.
  • the series of slots 2 in the leg 6 is said opposite the sole.
  • This leg 6 is of straight section rectangular and is full.
  • the slots 2 are, in this realization, carried out on either side of one of the two edges 11 opposite the sole. These edges are truncated by a chamfer on the bias or are rounded.
  • slots are thus open on the so-called face upper part of the jamb and on one of its faces longitudinal. They end at mid-width substantially of each of these two faces. They are preferably located on the same side as the fixing lugs when these are only on one side of the jamb. These slots have their opening 12, on the relevant faces of the jamb, which is flared by an internal chamfer.
  • the clamp 3 is of inverted U section, the 13 arms are slightly elastic and tighten noticeably towards each other as they move away from the base 14 of this clamp. Edges terminals 13A of the branches are folded outwards from the U by folding.
  • This clamp 3 is mounted articulated on the jamb to one end of it, around a finger hinge and retainer 15 passing through the jamb. She present on its terminal part opposite this finger, two gripping flaps 16, formed by incomplete cutting of the branches of the pliers and decentring bringing the flaps in the plan of the base 14, on either side of this base.
  • the grounding tab 4 is a flat rod one of the terminal portions of which is double folded in one direction then the other, defining a first portion almost terminal 17, folded at a right angle substantially on the rod, then a second terminal portion 18 also substantially at right angles to the previous one. His other terminal portion has its arched end and forms a terminal contact wiper 4A on a mass collector or a part brought to a given polarity.
  • This tab 4 is mounted under the terminal part of the cradle 1, which is opposite to that receiving the finger of retention and articulation 15 of the clamp 3. Its almost portion terminal 17 is attached under the mounting lug 7 corresponding and fits under this tab in a groove 7A provided for this purpose. It has a hole 19 coming opposite the hole 9 of lug, for the fixing of the tongue to the cradle by the screw 8 fixing the bar.
  • the terminal portion 18 crosses the sole 5 split for this purpose and partially embedded in the face longitudinal of the leg 6, opposite this leg 7 and grooved for this purpose.
  • the tongue is thus secured to one of the ends of the bar from which it projects so important below the mounting bracket.
  • the clamp 3 is connected to the terminal portion 18 by contact elastic pressure of the clamp which covers it, when the clamp is closed on the cradle.
  • the cradle comprises also a series of holes 20, along its axis longitudinal.
  • This series of holes corresponds to the series of slots 2.
  • Each hole opens into one of the slots, at level of that of its ends located at mid width of the upper side of cradle.
  • These holes 20 are not opening out opposite their opening in the slots individual.
  • Figure 2 clearly shows one of the holes 20 opening at the level of the internal chamfer 12 for opening of the slot on the upper face, this chamfer surrounding the end of the hole and making the end of the slot rounded, as shown in figure 1.
  • This figure 2 also clearly shows the groove 7A of the mounting lug, the slot 5A in the sole 5 and the groove 6A in the longitudinal face free of slots 2, intended for the installation of the quasi-terminal portions and terminal of the aforementioned grounding tab.
  • the groove 6A is slightly less deeper than groove 7A, to leave the portion slightly protruding tongue on the face longitudinal, for better contact with the clamp, while the almost terminal portion of the tongue fully fits into groove 7A.
  • Figure 3 shows the placement of a wire conductor 25 in the strip and its grounding by the clamp 3 and the tongue 4.
  • This conducting wire 25 is bare.
  • Her end portion is threaded through hole 20, until it stops its tip against the bottom of the hole. It is then folded against the jamb 6 when the clamp is folded over the jamb.
  • All the wires such as 25 to be connected to earth is positioned in the series of holes 20 and the series of slots 2.
  • the earth connection of these wires is ensured, simultaneously for all the wires, by closing the articulated clamp 3, thus coming to cover the cradle, the wires positioned in the slots and the terminal portion 18 of the tab 4.
  • the closed clamp clamps and maintains the different wires in place and traps their ends in the holes 20.
  • the wires come out of the bar along the corresponding edge 13A of the clamp 3.
  • Each wire can be disconnected from the strip, separately from the other wires, after opening the clamp around its axis of articulation 15 ( Figure 1). During this opening of the clamp, the wires remain in place on the leg 6, it is then enough to pull on the wire to disconnect and release it, then close the clamp to again ensure the bonding to ground of the other wires.
  • Figures 4 and 5 on the one hand and Figures 6 and 7 on the other hand illustrate two alternative embodiments of the bar, whose differences relative to the realization preferred according to Figures 1 to 3 are specified below.
  • the bar according to FIGS. 4 and 5 comprises also a cradle or base noted 41 and a clamp tightening noted 43 articulated on the cradle around the finger 55.
  • the cradle is in this metallic variant.
  • the cradle 41 is of L-shaped cross section, one of the legs constitutes the sole marked 45 and the other leg noted 46 has a series of slots 42 passing through it right through, which are open along its terminal edge by presenting an internal chamfer of opening 52. It has two fixing lugs 47 which project from the quasi-terminal parts of the sole, are defined between cuts in the initially wider sole and each have a screw fixing hole 49.
  • the clamp 43 is preferably also metallic. It is of inverted U section, like the clamp of the Figure 1 with its slightly re-entrant branches 53 and elastic and their edges 53A slightly folded towards outside. It also has its two branches 53 indented as illustrated in 53B between each set of slots it comes to style in the closed position, to allow better tightening of the clamp segments. Its gripping flaps 56 for its actuation in closing or opening result from the more complete cutting of its branches, level of the two opposite notches of its end not articulated.
  • the bar according to Figures 6 and 7 includes also a cradle or base 61 and a collet 63 which is hinged on one end of the cradle around a retaining and articulation finger 75.
  • the cradle 61 is metallic. It is straight section in inverted U and rounded base, of which the base and the two branches define a double jamb with a series of slots 62. These slots extend over the width of its base and on both sides substantially up to mid height or a little less of its two branches.
  • One of the branches which the one visible along in figure 6, is provided initially higher than the other and presents notches to define there two legs of quasi-terminal fixings 67, which are folded over the outside of this indented branch and each have a hole 69 receiving a fixing screw.
  • the longitudinal edge 65A of the other branch and the middle part 65B of the bottom of the notch between the legs 67 directly define the sole of the cradle, the legs being in the plane of this sole and contributing to a stable base.
  • the slots 62 are not made completely transverse to the cradle, but are at an angle on its base and branches.
  • the clamp 63 is preferably metallic. She is analogous to that of the embodiments described above, that is to say of inverted U section, the branches 73 of which are slightly tucked in and elastic and have their edges longitudinal 73A slightly folded outwards.
  • This clip also has its notched branches, as well as illustrated in 73B between each set of slots it comes style in the closed position on the cradle. She has shutters 76 for gripping, for its actuation during opening and closure, on its substantially terminal part opposite from its articulation to the cradle.
  • the clamp may be made of plastic.
  • the clamp is metallic and the cradle is plastic and receives a tongue metallic similar to that of Figure 1.
  • one of the terminal parts suitably folded of such a tab is attached and maintained against the cradle, at the end of the set of slots on its part opposite the articulation finger, which can be made slightly longer for this purpose to receive against it this tab outside an area provided a set of slots.
  • the wire positioning slots on the cradle are perpendicular to the edge of the jamb or can be made at an angle on it, so as to favor holding the conductive wires in place when the pliers.
  • the collet has only one gripping flap protruding from the end of its base, opposite the finger retainer, or two projecting flaps on the ends of its two branches.
  • Connecting a set of wires to the strip according to the present invention is quick to produce and undo, this without any special tool and even without a screwdriver. It allows obtaining a very good electrical contact of all the wires with the same polarity. It avoids deterioration of one and / or the other of the wires during several connections and disconnections to the bar.
