Definitions
- EP-A-0 387 084 describes a container of this kind.
- the invention aims to remedy between others to the difficulties of rinsing the surfaces completely of plastic containers described above, to arrange these so that the products washing caustics and rinsing liquids can flow on all these external surfaces without being able stagnate there, in order to eliminate all traces of product from washing.
- the base has, at least around an end portion of the zone bottom, a form of sleeve open at both ends, which extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the container and which therefore includes, on the side of its laying surface, an orifice for passage of large section relative to the laying surface.
- the base includes stiffening ribs which are distributed over the face external and / or on the internal face and which each extend in parallel to the aforesaid longitudinal axis, on at least part of the face corresponding and in that, if necessary, an interval is provided between the hollow body and at least a major part of each rib stiffening of the aforementioned internal face.
- a projection of the base on a plane passing through the laying surface is included in a projection of the hollow body on the same plane or coincides substantially with this last projection.
- FIG. 1 shows an elevation view, with partial breakage of the base, of a form of realization of a container according to the invention.
- Figure 2 shows in elevation, with breaking, on the same scale as that of Figure 1, a view of a bottom zone of a container according to the invention.
- Figure 3 shows an axial section through enlarged scale, in elevation, with break, of the base of the container of figure 1.
- the bottle 1 according to the invention can have any usual cross section in the area of the product to be stored and transported.
- This cross section could for example be hexagonal.
- a circular cross section is however generally preferred for both the hollow body 2 and for the base 7, the hollow body 2 advantageously being cylindrical over a long section 11 of length axial h1 (figure 1).
- a projection of the base 7 on a plane passing through the laying surface 8 is included in a projection of the hollow body 2 on the same plane or substantially coincides with this last projection.
- the external diameter d2 of the cylindrical hollow body 2 is greater than or at most equal to the external diameter d1 of the base 7.
- the hollow body 2 comprises the cylindrical section 11 of axis 12, this is perpendicular to the surface 8. It is therefore advantageous (Figure 2) that the bottom zone 7 connected to this cylindrical section 11 has an end portion 13 partially in shape of spherical cap, of radius R (in axial section, for the internal surface), which is coaxial with the section cylindrical 11 and whose concavity is turned towards this last, the cap possibly being flattened in its bottom 14, near its intersection with said axis 12.
- the end portion 13 of practically shaped hemispherical advantageously provides a substantially constant thickness of the body wall hollow 2 in this place. This consistency of thickness ensures the most regular and homogeneous cooling and, consequently, an almost total absence of internal tensions in this wall. Such tensions internal, where they exist, give rise to presence of aggressive products (washing solutions, lubricants of transport chains, ...), during washing at high temperature, to "stress” phenomena cracking "by which appear in the wall of tension cracks that force to discard the bottle 1 after washing (unnecessary handling and washing and loss of the bottle 1).
- the portion 13 in a spherical cap may have the opposite from its flattened bottom 14 a region with radius r (in axial section, for the internal surface) substantially more small than the aforementioned radius R, so that said portion end 13 ends with a cross section III-III higher than the other cross sections of this same end portion 13 but preferably less than the cross section of diameter d2 of the cylindrical section 11.
- a base 7 of diameter d1 less than or equal at diameter d2 can surround at least the end portion 13 while maintaining the aforementioned interval 10 between the rest of the base 7 and hollow body 2.
- the bottom zone 4 has in addition an intermediate zone 15 whose cross section transverse decreases towards the end portion 13, gradually and / or in steps (FIGS. 2 and 1), from the cross section of external diameter d2 from cylindrical section 11 to cross section III-III of said end portion 13.
- the base 7 of the invention has preferably in its general appearance the shape of a hollow revolution element 16 which, in the state fixed to the hollow body 2, is coaxial with the cylindrical section 11 and surrounds the above-mentioned end portion 13 and advantageously also the intermediate zone 15 while leaving open the aforementioned interval 10.
- This arrangement gives the whole bottle a pleasant aspect of continuity between the hollow body 2 and the base 7 when the diameters d1 and d2 are very close.
- the laying surface 8 of the base 7 is advantageously located beyond the intersection between the cap-shaped portion 13 and the axis 12, at the opposite of the cylindrical section 11. In this way, the bottom of the hollow body 2 is protected as much as possible against friction, and therefore scratches, on elements of automatic transport, storage areas, etc.
- the base 7 has advantageously for example ( Figures 3 and 1) three supports 17 regularly distributed, arranged to locate the hollow body 2 relative to the base 7, at least during an operation for fixing the hollow body 2 to the base 7, so as to form the interval 10.
- These supports 17 may have a nipple shape if by example, after the fixing operation they are no longer in contact with the hollow body 2, as explained below.
- the base 7 in the form of an element of revolution 16 essentially comprises a wall 18 of a type of sleeve, erected substantially parallel to the direction of axis 12 and provided with stiffening ribs 19 and / or 20 regularly distributed, for example respectively on the outer 21 and inner 22 sides of the wall 18, and each extending parallel to the axis 12 on at least part of the corresponding face 21, 22.
- An aforementioned interval 10 is also provided between this annular collar 23 of stiffening and body hollow 2.
- the base 7 comprises advantageously, on the side of its laying surface 8, at at least one passage orifice 24 for the aforementioned fluid, preferably a large section compared to the laying surface 8 to facilitate washing, rinsing and drying of the bottle 1 between base 7 and body hollow 2.
- the fixing locations 9 between hollow body 2 and base 7 are constituted by dots of adhesive resistant to washing solutions container and thermal stress, for example a CECA glue from Elf Aquitaine, type XPU18007, which when in the hardened state expands compared to its state of application on the elements to be bonded 2, 9.
- a CECA glue from Elf Aquitaine, type XPU18007
- hot melt a hot melt glue
- This last provides temporary fixing of the elements to stick, sufficient to be able to handle them practically immediately after bonding, in an empty state, while the glue which expands upon hardening and which is based on polyurethane requires a polymerization time (hardening) of the order of 72 hours.
- the aforementioned expansion is sized to achieve and maintain the desired interval 10.
- the points of glue i.e. the fixing points 9 are arranged at or near the abovementioned supports 17.
- the hollow body 2 is made of bi-oriented synthetic material, possibly more than 30% crystallinity, advantageously approximately 40% crystallinity, preferably liberated from internal tensions, especially in the bottom area 4.
- This synthetic material is by example of polyethylene terephthalate.
- This crystallinity high is obtained by known methods of blowing the hollow body 2 into a one-dimensional mold greater than its final dimension, by processing thermal contracting the dimension hollow body greater than a dimension less than its dimension final, and finally by a new blowing in a mold to give the hollow body 2 said dimension final.
- This high crystallinity provides among other things better waterproofing of the wall of the latter washing and rinsing products as well as drinks stored there. This practically results a lack of subsequent restitution by said wall of flavors that it would have accumulated and that could change the flavor of a drink stored there later or that could give flavor by example to mineral water stored in bottle 1 after a recycling wash thereof.
- the high crystallinity chosen gives also three-dimensional stability at bottle 1 when it is subjected to thermal stresses.
- the container 1 according to the invention is used in a recyclable way, with reuse such which, in an industrial and commercial circuit of drinks sold in bottles according to the invention, in particular natural mineral water carbonated, slightly carbonated or non-carbonated, for storing and distribute these drinks for consumption.
- the container 1 is empty, it is collected, washed, rinsed and reused for the same purpose, or for the same drink that was stored there in the previous round either for another drink compatible with the material of the hollow body 2.
- the container 1 according to figure 1 allows a buyer to check easily in the bottom of the container for example the good condition of purity of a drink stored there.
- the same possibility can exist if one foresees in the base 7 (of Figures 1 and 3) of the lateral holes suitably arranged to be able to see through these the bottom of the container and especially the product which is stored there, this product can be among others a other than a drink.
- the base 7 of FIG. 1 can for example be with side openings to visualize the bottom of the body hollow 2: the product it contains, the state of cleanliness from this background ...

Abstract
Description
- a hollow body which is intended to receive a product to be stored and transported and which comprises a bottom zone, and
- a base which has a mounting surface for the bottle and which is fixed to the hollow body at at least one fixing location having a reduced dimension compared to the bottom zone,
It is advantageous to carry out such containers so that they can be used several times for the same packaging use of drinks, such as mineral water.
Reuse of bottles synthetic, especially for drinks, cannot take place only after a very careful washing and rinsing of these bottles, both for their surfaces internal than for their external surfaces. In particular rinsing, after washing with products caustic, must be total to avoid traces of these products remain on the bottle and in subsequently attack the synthetic material.
The invention aims to remedy between others to the difficulties of rinsing the surfaces completely of plastic containers described above, to arrange these so that the products washing caustics and rinsing liquids can flow on all these external surfaces without being able stagnate there, in order to eliminate all traces of product from washing.
To this end, according to the invention: the base has, at least around an end portion of the zone bottom, a form of sleeve open at both ends, which extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the container and which therefore includes, on the side of its laying surface, an orifice for passage of large section relative to the laying surface.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the base includes stiffening ribs which are distributed over the face external and / or on the internal face and which each extend in parallel to the aforesaid longitudinal axis, on at least part of the face corresponding and in that, if necessary, an interval is provided between the hollow body and at least a major part of each rib stiffening of the aforementioned internal face.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a projection of the base on a plane passing through the laying surface is included in a projection of the hollow body on the same plane or coincides substantially with this last projection.
Other details and peculiarities of the invention will emerge from the secondary claims and of the description of the drawings which are annexed to the present brief and which illustrate, by way of examples non-limiting the container and its following use the invention.
FIG. 1 shows an elevation view, with partial breakage of the base, of a form of realization of a container according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows in elevation, with breaking, on the same scale as that of Figure 1, a view of a bottom zone of a container according to the invention.
La figure 3 montre une coupe axiale à échelle agrandie, en élévation, avec brisure, de l'embase du récipient de la figure 1.Figure 3 shows an axial section through enlarged scale, in elevation, with break, of the base of the container of figure 1.
In the different figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements or the like.
- a
hollow body 2 which is intended to receive a product to be stored and transported (for example 1500 ml of mineral water) and which comprises, at a so-calledlower end 3 of thebottle 1, a bottom zone 4 and, at the 'Another so-calledupper end 5 is a filling opening 6 known per se, and - a
base 7 which is fixed to thebody 2 and which has alaying surface 8 for the bottle.
(figure 1) en au moins un endroit de
- on the one hand, the
hollow body 2 is fixed to the base 7 (FIG. 1) in at least onefixing location 9 of reduced size relative to the bottom zone 4, and - on the other hand, in addition to this place of attachment, between the rest of the
base 7 and of thehollow body 2, thebottle 1 has everywhere apassage interval 10 dimensioned so that a natural flow of a fluid can take place there. , the fluid being in particular a caustic washing solution, a rinsing liquid, drying air, etc. The dimensioning of the passage must in particular prevent stagnation of the abovementioned fluids for the reasons mentioned above.
axiale h1 (figure 1).The
hauteur totale de la bouteille 1.According to the invention, it is preferred that a
projection of the
12.In the preferred case of the invention, in
which the
For its connection to the
III-III de ladite portion d'extrémité 13.For the connection between this
The
In addition, the
ci-dessous. According to the invention, the
creux 2.In a preferred embodiment of
the invention (FIG. 3) the
Suivant l'invention, l'embase 7 comporte
creux 2.According to the invention, the
Preferably, the
It may be desired that the points of
glue, i.e. the
7.Many materials, preferably
synthetics can be used to make the
The high crystallinity chosen gives
also three-dimensional stability at
du corps creux 2.The
It should be understood that the invention is not in no way limited to the embodiments described and that many modifications can be made to these last without departing from the scope of the present invention.
It will be appreciated, for example, that the
de ce fond...Also as a variant of the present invention,

outside the fixing point or points (9), the container (1) presenting, between the rest of the base (7) and the hollow body (2), a gap (10) for a natural flow of a fluid,
characterized in that the base (7) presents, at least around an end portion (13) of the bottom zone (4), a form of open sleeve at its two ends, which extends roughly parallel to the longitudinal axis (12) of the container (1) and which includes hence, on its putting down surface (8) side, a hole (24) of large section compared with the putting down surface (8). - Container according to claim 1, characterized in that the base (7) comprises reinforcing ribs (19, 20) which are distributed over the external face (21) and/or over the internal face (22) and which each extend parallel to the above-mentioned longitudinal axis (12), over at least part of the corresponding face (21, 22) and in that, if applicable, a gap (10) is provided between the hollow body (2) and at least most of each reinforcing rib (20) of the aforementioned internal face (22).
- Container according to claim 2, characterized in that the base (7) comprises, fixed to its internal face (22), an annular reinforcing collar (23) which extends roughly parallel to the putting down surface (8) and towards the inside of the base (7) from the internal face (22) and whose collar faces turned respectively one towards the filling hole (6) of the container (1) and the other towards the putting down surface (8) are both inclined in relation to a plans perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (12) and included between these two faces of the collar (23), the inclination of the latter moving them closer to each other and to this perpendicular plane as one moves away radially from the internal face (22) towards the longitudinal axis (12), and in that a gap (10) is provided between the hollow body (2) and the collar (23).
- Container (1) according to any one of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that a projection of the base (7) upon a plane passing through the putting down surface (8) is included in a projection of the hollow body (2) upon the same plane or roughly coincides with this latter projection.
- Container (1) according to any one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the hollow body (2) presents a roughly cylindrical section (11) with axis (12) practically perpendicular to the said putting down surface (8), and in that the bottom zone (4) connected to this cylindrical section (11) presents an end portion (13) at least partly roughly in the form of a portion of a sphere which is coaxial with the cylindrical section (11) and whose concave side is turned towards the latter.
- Container according to claim 5, characterized in that the aforementioned portion of a sphere is flattened (at 14) in the vicinity of its intersection with the said axis (12).
- Container according to either of the claims 5 and 6, characterized in that the said end portion (13) in the form of a portion of a sphere presents a cross section (III-III) which is greater than the other cross sections of this same end portion (13) but less than the cross section of the cylindrical section (11), and in that, for the connection between this end portion (13) and the cylindrical section (11), the bottom zone (4) presents moreover an intermediate zone (15) whose cross section decreases towards the end portion (13), progressively and/or in steps, from the cross section of the cylindrical section (11) to the cross section (III-III) of the said end portion (13).
- Container (1) according to any one of the claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the base (7) includes at least three supports (17) arranged to locate the hollow body (2) in relation to the base (7), at least during an operation to fix one to the other, so as to form the above-mentioned gap (10).
- Container (1) according to any one of the claims 5 to 7, characterized in that the base (7) forms a hollow element of revolution (16) which, in the fixed to the hollow body (2) state, is coaxial with the cylindrical section (11) and surrounds at least the end portion (13) in the form of a portion of a sphere, the putting down surface (8) of the base (7) being situated beyond the intersection between the portion of a sphere (13) and the above-mentioned axis (12), opposite the aforementioned cylindrical section (11).
- Container (1) according to any one of the claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the fixing point or points (9) between hollow body (2) and base (7) are constituted by spots of adhesive resistant to solutions for washing the container and to thermal stresses, and in that the adhesive presents in the hardened state an expansion compared with its application state on the elements (2, 7) to be bonded, the gap (10) between hollow body (2) and base (7) being produced or increased by that after the adhesive has hardened.
- Container (1) according to any one of the claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the synthetic material of the hollow body (2) is biaxially stretched, possibly with more than 30% crystallinity, advantageously with approximately 40% crystallinity, preferably relieved of internal stresses, especially in the bottom zone (4), this synthetic material being advantageously polyethylene terephthalate.
