Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vibration damper for tennis rackets.
We know that the vibrations generated by the impact of a ball on a racket lead to physiological pathologies such as that which is known under the name of "Tennis elbow" which is essentially a very painful tendinitis.
De tels amortisseurs sont connus, notamment par EP-A-0 465 848, FR-A-2 554 723 et FR-A- 2 666 237.In order to overcome this drawback, it has already been proposed to provide the rackets with damping devices which, as the case may be, are mounted either at the end of the handle or in the region of the heart of the racket, (at the level of the spacer, if applicable), either directly on the line. The latter solution has proven to be the most effective. Such dampers are known, in particular from EP-A-0 465 848, FR-A-2 554 723 and FR-A- 2 666 237.
Les pièces toriques sont maintenues sur le cordage par des fentes.EP-A-0 465 848 describes an elastic band which is inserted between the strings of a racket, terminated at each of its ends by a toric piece of mass higher than that of the band. The O-rings are held on the rope by slots.
FR-A- 2 666 237 relates to a vibration damper consisting of a main elastomer body mounted between two cords by means of slots provided with tongues.
However, the depreciation thus obtained turns out to be insufficient. In addition, following violent and repeated shocks, it often happens that the shock absorber mounted on the cords is ejected.
The object of the present invention is to provide a shock absorber with three-point attachment intended to be mounted directly on the rope which is more effective than the preceding shock absorbers and is held in place by its three hooks whatever the violence of the shocks to which it is subjected. racket.
According to the invention, the vibration damper intended to be mounted on the string of a tennis racket is characterized in that it consists of a symmetrical oblong body whose length is slightly greater than the sum of the distances of the six central uprights, having four central grooves and two lateral grooves intended to receive the six uprights, respectively above and below the oblong body, the grooves being formed by four flanges respectively long and short joined by studs perpendicular to the surface of the flaccid.
The central grooves have a "T" section which can receive, in the angles of the horizontal branch of the T, two adjacent central uprights. The symmetry of the shock absorber is reflected in the fact that the rope is trapped in the slots on either side of the axis of symmetry and is thus firmly held.
- La Figure 1, une vue en perspective de l'amortisseur selon l'invention;
- La Figure 2, une vue de côté de l'amortisseur;
- Figure 1, a perspective view of the damper according to the invention;
- Figure 2, a side view of the shock absorber;
- Figure 3, a view over the same shock absorber
- Figure 4, an end view of the shock absorber.
In FIG. 1, it can be seen that the damper generally designated by the
The
As shown in Figure 2, the flanges are joined by studs 5 which determine peripheral 6 and
La figure 3 représente l'amortisseur en vue par-dessus et, de préférence, les flasques 1 et 2 présentent un bord intérieur 8,9 arrondi de sorte que les montants introduits dans les rainures 6 et 7 soient recouverts sur une partie de leur longueur ce qui évite leur sortie hors des rainures lorsque les cordes se déforment à la suite d'un impact.FIG. 3 represents the shock absorber seen from above and, preferably, the flanges 1 and 2 have an
La figure 4 est une vue en bout de l'amortisseur selon l'invention On voit qu'à un flasque long 1 est opposé un flasque court 4 de même que de l'autre côté le flasque long 3 est disposé en regard du flasque court 2.Figure 4 is an end view of the damper according to the invention We see that a long flange 1 is opposite a short flange 4 as on the other side the
The shock absorber is thus perfectly locked on the uprights and, by its elastic nature, follows the deformations of the strings and quickly brings them to rest.
It goes without saying that many variants can be made, in particular by substitution of equivalent technical means, without departing from the scope of the invention.
