- the present invention relates to a method and a device for producing a tubular article having a circumferential accumulation of material.
- Plastic articles of this type are generally produced by conventional techniques, such as extrusion blowing, starting from an extruded hose which is finally shaped in a special tool. Providing, in connection with such shaping, accumulations of material of the aforementioned type is very difficult, since the wall thickness of the extruded hose must be varied.
- the hose should be thick where a large wall thickness, i.e. accumulation of material, is desired, but thin where a small wall thickness is desired.
- a thin-walled blank is produced in a first step, and is moved on to another moulding machine where, in a second step, an accumulation of material is applied by injection-moulding in the desired place on the thin-walled blank.
- This method has been applied e.g. in the making of infusion liquid containers whose filling neck should have a connecting portion with accumulated material, into which a rubber stopper is pressed and which is sealed by an aluminium cap.
- This method is however slow and costly, in that it comprises several operations which must be performed in different machines. Besides, narrow tolerance requirements are placed on the extruded blank, which are difficult to comply with and which sometimes lead to considerable scrapping.
- One object of the present invention therefore is, while overcoming the above-mentioned drawbacks, to provide a new method by means of which a tubular, thin-walled article is provided with a circumferential accumulation of material in a less complicated and less expensive way than has hitherto been possible with existing methods.

Claims (6)
- Verfahren zum Erzeugen eines röhrenförmigen Gegenstandes (1) mit einer in Umfangsrichtung verlaufenden Materialanhäufung, in Bezug auf welche der Gegenstand eine dünne Wand hat, das die Schritte aufweist:daß der röhrenförmige Gegenstand (1) mit Eingriffsmitteln (6) für zusammenwirkenden Eingriff mit entsprechenden Eingriffsmitteln (8) ausgebildet ist, die auf einem getrennten ringförmigen Element (5; 5a; 5b; 5c; 5d) ausgebildet sind;daß das ringförmige Element über den röhrenförmigen Gegenstand (1) in die Stellung hinüberbewegt wird, wo die Materialanhäufung vorgesehen werden soll; unddaß die zusammenwirkenden Eingriffsmittel (6, 8) an dieser Stelle in dauernden Eingriff miteinander gebracht werden, um so axiale Verschiebung des ringförmigen Elementes zu verhindern und um so die Materialanhäufung aus dem ringförmigen Element, das an dem röhrenförmigen Gegenstand (1) angebracht ist, und aus der angrenzenden Wand des röhrenförmigen Gegenstandes zu schaffen; dadurch gekennzeichnet,daß das ringförmige Element (5; 5a; 5b; 5c; 5d) zuerst expandiert und dann über den röhrenförmigen Gegenstand (1) hinüberbewegt wird; oder daß der röhrenförmige Gegenstand zusammengedrückt wird, bevor das ringförmige Element über ihn hinüberbewegt wird.
- Verfahren zum Erzeugen eines röhrenförmigen Gegenstands (1) mit einer in Umfangsrichtung verlaufenden Materialanhäufung, in Bezug auf welche der Gegenstand eine dünne Wand hat, bei welchem Verfahren der röhrenförmige Gegenstand (1) mit Eingriffsmitteln für zusammenwirkenden Eingriff mit entsprechenden Eingriffsmitteln ausgebildet wird, die auf einem getrennten ringförmigen Element (5e; 5f) ausgebildet sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet,daß das ringförmige Element (5e; 5f) in den röhrenförmigen Gegenstand (1) zu der Stelle gebracht wird, wo die Materialanhäufung vorgesehen werden soll; unddaß die zusammenwirkenden Eingriffsmittel an dieser Stelle in dauernden Eingriff miteinander gebracht werden, um so axiale Verschiebung des ringförmigen Elementes zu verhindern und um so die Materialanhäufung aus dem ringförmigen Element, das an dem röhrenförmigen Gegenstand (1) angebracht wird, und aus der benachbarten Wand des röhrenförmigen Gegenstandes zu bilden; wobei das ringförmige Element (5e; 5f) zuerst zusammengedrückt und dann in den röhrenförmigen Gegenstand (1) eingeführt wird; oder wobei der röhrenförmige Gegenstand expandiert wird, bevor das ringförmige Element darin eingesetzt wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das ringförmige Element (5; 5a; 5b; 5c; 5d) an der Außenseite eines Halsteiles (3) des Gegenstandes (1) angebracht wird, der vorzugsweise ein Behälter oder eine Flasche ist.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, bei dem das ringförmige Element (5e; 5f) an der Innenseite eines Halsteiles (3) des Gegenstandes (1) angebracht wird, der vorzugsweise ein Behälter oder eine Flasche ist.
- Vorrichtung zum Durchführen des Verfahrens nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, gekennzeichnet durch ein Werkzeug zum Anbringen des ringförmigen Elementes (5; 5a; 5b; 5c; 5d; 5e; 5f) außen oder innen am röhrenförmigen Gegenstand (1), welches Werkzeug Mittel (7) zum Expandieren entweder des ringförmigen Elementes oder des röhrenförmigen Gegenstandes oder zum Zusammendrücken entweder des ringförmigen Elementes oder des röhrenförmigen Gegenstandes aufweisen, und zum Anbringen des ringförmigen Elementes an dem Gegenstand an der Stelle, wo die Materialanhäufung vorgesehen werden soll, wodurch der Eingriff zwischen den beiden zusammenwirkenden Eingriffsmitteln bewirkt wird.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, bei der die Werkzeugmittel ein expandierender Dorn (7) sind.
