  • GB-A-2 209 500 discloses a ring binder mechanism for a loose-leaf binder with ring elements secured to the carrier rails within a cover rail in which the cover rail is provided with a longitudinal indentation which provides increased strength and rigidity to the mechanism. It is suggested that there could be two or more indentations. In particular, there could be two parallel indentations located symmetrically on either side of the cover rail, and the shape and position of each indentation should be chosen to give the desired stiffening effect.
  • a plate for forming a housing member for supporting a pivotable lower structure in a ring binder wherein the plate is provided with at least one rib positioned along each lateral side thereof, and wherein when the plate is formed into the housing member, the ribs are below the part where the housing member supports the pivotable lower structure.

Claims (5)

  1. Platte (40) zur Formung eines Gehäuseelements (24) zum Abstützen eines schwenkbaren Unterbaus (30) in einem Ringhefter (10), wobei die Platte (40) mit mindestens einer entlang jeder ihrer Querseiten angeordneten Rippe (38) versehen ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß wenn die Platte (40) zu dem Gehäuseelement (24) geformt wird, sich die Rippen (38) unterhalb des Teils befinden, an welcher Stelle das Gehäuseelement (24) den schwenkbaren Unterbau (30) abstützt.
  2. Platte (40) nach Anspruch 1, ferner dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Rippen (38) entlang der wesentlichen Länge jeder Querseite der Platte (40) vorgesehen sind.
  3. Platte (40) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, ferner dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mindestens eine Vertiefung (42) neben jeder Querseite der Platte (40) vorgesehen ist.
  4. Platte (40) nach Anspruch 3, ferner dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Vertiefungen (42) in entgegengesetzter Richtung zu derjenigen der Rippen (38) von der Platte (40) vorstehen.
  5. Ringhefter (10), der unter Verwendung einer Platte (40) gemäß einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche gebildet ist.
