Description

The invention relates to a support for hanging shelves and the like, consisting of at least three vertical rods, two of which are joined together by means of horizontally arranged connecting pieces by butt welding so that a ladder-like support part is formed, the at least one further rod by at least one support strut is connected to the supporting part via a large number of individual welding points.

Carriers of this type are used in the display of goods in self-service shops. In addition to their function of forming a supporting frame with other parts, they are used in particular for hanging shelves, shelves and the like. In DE-OS 36 32 300 such carriers are described in more detail according to the embodiments of FIG. 6. The exemplary embodiment shown there in detail shows, for example, a support with a ladder-like support part, in which a third rod is welded to the support part by means of a zigzag-shaped support strut. Viewed from above, a carrier is formed, the outline of which is designed in an angular or L-shaped manner. To a certain extent, it can be stated in this embodiment that right and left supports, that is to say mirror images, are required to form goods display structures if the lower area of such supports, for example to form a foot, is designed differently than the upper end area . In such cases, different carriers must be manufactured and, if necessary, kept in stock, which increases costs. However, mirror-shaped supports can be avoided if the rods, as proposed in DE-OS 36 32 300, are arranged so that they form a geometrically regular, for example square or rectangular, plan together with the connecting pieces and the support struts. Then it is irrelevant whether the upper and lower areas of such carriers are different are designed. However, such carriers have a decisive disadvantage, which is that, due to their cross-sectional shape, they occupy part of the storage space formed by the suspended shelves. This fact is particularly noticeable when an attempt is made to load the storage surface on all sides to the very edge with cubic objects, such as boxes. However, since the shape of the support means that the shelf of the shelves is no longer exactly square or rectangular, it can happen that boxes placed near a support cannot be pushed to the rearmost edge of the storage area because they hit the support beforehand. This means that sections of the storage area that are at least as long or as wide as the boxes themselves remain unloaded.

The object of the invention is to develop a carrier of the generic type in such a way that the disadvantages described above are reduced to an insignificant minimum.

The object is achieved in that the at least one support strut is welded to the connecting pieces.

This constructive measure makes it possible to manufacture beams which, when viewed from above, have a T-shaped or cruciform plan, the stressed plan area of which can be kept considerably smaller than the square area of square or rectangular beams, the plan area of which remains unusable. In the carrier according to the invention, however, the shelves can be moved very close to the extremely narrow supporting struts, the storage area of the shelves being fully preserved, since the carriers according to the invention do not take up any part of the storage surfaces. In the case of square or rectangularly shaped shelves, their storage areas remain geometrically pure squares or rectangles. The storage areas can thus be optimally used.

Fig. 3
the outline of a girder equipped with four bars.

Two of the bars 3a and 3b are connected by horizontally arranged connecting pieces 5 by means of butt welding so that a ladder-like supporting part 2 is formed. The third rod 3c is arranged at a parallel distance from the support part 2 and is welded to the support part 2 by means of a corrugated or zigzag-shaped support strut 6. The curvatures 7 of the support strut 6 serve as welding points 8, alternating every second curvature 7 being welded to the third rod 3c or to the connecting pieces 5. In the example, each connecting piece 5 is welded to the support strut 6. This does not rule out that supports 1 can be produced, in which, for example, only every second or third connecting piece 5 is welded to the support strut 6.

The two bars 3a and 3b which are connected by the connecting pieces 5 can be seen. Arranged centrally to the bars 3a, 3b and at right angles to the connecting pieces 5, the support strut 6 is welded to the connecting pieces 5. Arranged at a parallel distance from the bars 3a, 3b and the connecting pieces 5, the third rod 3c is also welded to the support strut 6.

A variant is shown in Fig. 3. The plan of the carrier 1 contains four crosswise, preferably regularly arranged bars 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d, in the example the two bars 3a and 3b, which together with the connecting pieces 5 on an horizontal axis in the picture 13 are connected by the connecting pieces 5, while the bars 3c and 3d arranged on the vertical axis 14 in the image in mirror image to the horizontal axis 13 and to the connecting pieces 5 are each welded to the connecting pieces 5 by a supporting strut 6. The support struts 6 are arranged at right angles to the connecting pieces 5. In the example, the shape of the support struts 6 corresponds to that embodiment as shown in FIG. 1. Other expedient shapes which allow the support struts 6 to be supported both on the bars 3c and 3d and on the connecting pieces 5 are also possible. However, the corrugated or serrated shape shown in the drawing of FIG. 1 appears to be the most appropriate, at least for cost reasons. Four shelves 10 are shown in dash-dot lines in the drawing. The central position of the carrier 1 can be seen. The shelves 10 are supported on the connecting pieces 5 by means of known mounting brackets 11. The carrier 1 does not occupy any part of the four shelves 10. The storage surfaces of the shelves 10 are fully usable. The carrier 1 does not project into any of the corner regions 12 of the shelves 10 adjoining the carriers 1. This is made possible by the cruciform plan of the carrier 1. The same advantages, based on two shelves 10, can also be achieved with the carrier 1 according to FIGS. 1 and 2. The individual components of the carrier 1 according to FIG. 3 are arranged centrally. This does not rule out the fact that the support struts 6 and thus also the bars 3c and 3d are generally off-center, that is to say unevenly offset from the bars 3a and 3b can be arranged.

Fig. 4) angeordnet, mit den Verbindungsstücken 5 verschweißt sind.Regardless of the preferred exemplary embodiments described in FIGS. 1 to 3, further basic layouts of the supports 1 are conceivable in the sense of the general inventive concept. One of these shapes can be seen in the fact that two support struts 6, each connected to a rod 3c and 3d, are arranged on only one side of the connecting pieces 5 and are welded to them. A plan view is also conceivable in which a support strut 6 equipped with a rod 3c, 3d is provided on both sides of the connecting pieces 5 at right angles to the connecting pieces 5, but is arranged off-center to the rods 3a and 3b (see FIG. 4) , are welded to the connectors 5.
