Abstract

In the case of an electrical spring contact having an inner spring (which is formed by a contact spring arm base and contact spring arms) and having a box-shaped outer spring (which can be locked on the contact spring arm base of the inner spring and has an outer spring arm base and outer spring arms), in the case of which spring contact the outer spring has, at the insertion end, cuts which are vented in the form of a funnel and the inner and outer springs are formed by sheet-metal moulded parts, the outer spring having a bending slot which extends over the entire length of the same and it being possible to insert the spring contact in a chamber in a retaining housing and to lock it therein by means of retaining elements, for simple construction and more reliable, stable fixing capability of the same in the retaining housing, those side surfaces (15) of the outer spring (10) which extend between the two outer spring arms (14, 14') are provided in the axial edge regions over part of their lengths with constrictions (16), the bending slot (23) is laid in one of these side surfaces (15), it is possible to pivot outwards with respect to one another the outer spring sections (10', 10'') which extend parallel to the outer spring arms (14, 14') and it is possible for the outer spring (10) to be supported axially, by means of those boundary surfaces (17) of the constrictions (16) which approach the free ends, on attachments (20) which project into the chamber (18) of the retaining housing (19). <IMAGE>
