Abstract

A pocketed-spring mattress has pocketed springs (35) arranged in rows, each being arranged individually in a cloth pocket (20, 21). Each cloth pocket forms a receptacle (4) which is formed of an upper and a lower cloth body (15, 16) which are sewn together in the centre region. Cloth tabs (31), which cause a limitation of the freedom of movement of the individual pocketed springs (35), are formed from the cover between respectively adjacent pocketed springs of one row, above and below their centre region. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a pocket spring mattress with pocket springs arranged in rows according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

It is already known from the prior art to sew pocket springs into corresponding pockets of an envelope, as has become known, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,230,558.

From US 2 805 429 it is known to use an anchor thread which extends through the entire pocket springs and which holds all the pocket springs together.

The disadvantage of the previously known embodiment is that this special type of connection means that the pocket springs are not individually resilient, but that the spring comfort is impaired by the combination with the adjacent pocket spring.

No. 3,462,779 describes a row arrangement of pocket springs, the springs being covered with cloth bodies on their upper and lower sides and the cloth bodies being connected in the joint area between the springs via a sewing connection. The aim of this arrangement was to counteract premature wear and damage to the fabric body.

The invention has for its object to develop a pocket spring mattress of the type mentioned so that better suspension comfort is achieved with regard to an improved individual suspension of the individual pocket springs.

To achieve the object, the invention is characterized by the technical teaching of claim 1.

The pocket springs can either be arranged close to each other in a line, i.e. the pocket springs lie in a line with their bulges, or the bulges are offset in the upper and lower body of the cloth.

The invention forms in an upper, initially linearly extending cloth, downward-facing half-pockets in the manner of recordings, and furthermore recordings are also formed by a lower cloth, wherein when the cloth bodies are put together, complete pockets are formed by the meeting of the upper and lower recordings, which absorb the spring cores, after which the upper and lower cloth bodies are then joined together by seams.

The upper and lower cloth bodies are completely connected to one another by seams, without the need for further connecting elements. It is important here that the seams also extend into the space between adjacent pocket springs (spring cores) and form darts.

The darts in the upper and lower cloth bodies are triangular in shape and define cloth flaps in the intermediate area between adjacent pocket springs.

The triangular cloth rags are relatively easy to attach, because when sewing the upper and lower parts of the cloth pockets, in which there are spiral springs, can be bent sideways so that the sewing process is facilitated.

In one embodiment it is provided that seams on the cloth bodies also extend over the end face of the pocket springs.

Such seams additionally increase the strength, especially in the case of punctiform loading from above onto the end face of the pocket springs, so that the seams can intercept the loads in a multiple parallel arrangement on the end face in the event of a heavily punctiform loading of the end faces.

The previously mentioned cloth flaps between the individual pocket springs form fold-like connections in the manner of strand-like connecting elements arranged in series.

These strand-like connecting links (cloth flaps) thus form tie rods in the intermediate space between adjacent pocket springs, so that they do not bend or tilt away to the side when a corresponding load acts on the pocket springs.

In a first preferred embodiment of the present invention it is provided that the receptacles are formed by upper and lower cloth bodies which are placed one on top of the other, resulting in a central joint area which lies approximately in a horizontal plane.

In a second embodiment of the invention, on the other hand, it is provided that the cloth bodies are not arranged above and below, but that the cloth bodies are applied laterally to the spring cores of the pocket springs and that consequently there is an approximately vertical one Flat joint area results.
In this embodiment, it is essential that the individual rows of pocket springs can be sewn in a simplified manner, in which only a single sewing tool is required.

It is preferred here if the individual spring cores are not only sewn into the vertical side regions in the fabric body by means of appropriately arc-shaped darts, but also that arch-shaped darts are also formed, which enclose and enclose the end region of the spring cores, so that the spring cores in these recordings of the cloth body thus formed are practically positively edged and held.

In the following, the invention is explained in more detail with reference to drawings showing several possible embodiments.

According to the invention it is provided that pocket springs are placed on a flat cloth, that another cloth is placed on top of it, and that the two cloths are then sewn so that receptacles 4 form, as will be shown below with reference to the drawings.

The connection of these two cloth bodies 15, 16 is e.g. shown in Figure 3. It is the upper cloth body 15 with the lower cloth body 16 in the connection or joint area 14 e.g. connected by sewing.

For industrial production, it is provided that at position 5 a pressing tool or sewing tool moves into the cloth body and forms a pocket-shaped area 6, in the central area of which the gluing 7 or sewing now takes place. In the same way, an identical pressing tool or sewing tool moves in from the bottom at position 8, so that the two pressing tools or sewing tools meet in the central region at position 7 and the sewing or gluing takes place there.

In this way it is achieved that the springs of a row only hang together in the central area, i.e. the springs of Figure 3 are separated from the other springs by the pocket-shaped incisions 6.13 and can move individually because there is such a pocket-shaped incision 6.13 between each spring in the direction of the neighboring spring.

In FIGS. 1 and 4, row-shaped pocket springs are shown in a top view, the cloth bodies 15, 16 being sewn together around the spring cores 17 and, according to FIG. 1, the spring cores 17 being arranged in a line, while according to FIG. 4 the spring cores 17 are arranged offset from one another .

According to FIG. 4, the staggered arrangement of the curvatures forms a wavy sewing line 22.

According to Figure 1, the sewing line 22 is rectilinear, whereby a greater possibility of movement of the cloth pockets with each other is achieved.

The sewing line 22 is also shown in FIG. 3, it being apparent that the connecting diamonds 24 are formed as in FIG. 5. The connecting rhombuses 24 arise when the upper and lower cloth bodies 15, 16 are sewn together, a relatively large stabilization being achieved in the central region of the spring cores 17 and the cloth pockets with the spring cores 17 being allowed to tilt and move only in the upper and lower regions.

In Figure 2 darts 18 can be seen, which have an approximately wavy connection with each other, so that the cloth pockets 20 dodge individually in this upper region. The spring cores 17 form truncated cones.

In Figure 3, the receptacles 4 of the upper and lower cloth body 15, 16 can be seen, it being evident in this section C-D that the butt region 14 is sewn together. The sewing line 22 frames the cloth pockets 20, 21.

According to FIG. 5, a connection diamond 24 comparable to FIG. 3 can also be seen. 5, the cloth pockets 21 are arranged offset from one another in the curvature, resulting in a wavy sewing line 23 and the spring cores 17 lying closer together than in FIG. 1.

5, except for the connecting diamond 24, the sewing line 23 wraps around the spring cores 17 and is also shown in FIG. 6, where it can be seen that parabolic darts 19 are formed.

The parabolic darts 19 also have approximately a wave area on the surface and form cloth flaps 31, so that in the area of the darts 18, 19, with the exception of the connecting area, the outwardly facing ends of the cloth pockets have the possibility of movement. This results in the particularly high lying comfort.

A preferred embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in FIGS. 7 and 8. It can be seen here that the spring cores 17 designed as double-cone springs are stored in corresponding envelopes of an upper and lower cloth body 15, 16 and that the two cloth bodies 15, 16 overlap in the middle region (joint region 14) and are sewn there with a horizontally circumferential seam 36. On the end faces (view IX according to arrow IX in FIG. 7) results in the connecting rhombuses 24.

Otherwise, the same reference numerals have been chosen for the same parts in FIGS. 7-11.

FIGS. 9 and 10 show a single pocket spring 35 of a pocket spring mattress.

The pocket spring 35 has a butt region 14 on one side, while the connection diamond 24 is formed on the other side, which is at right angles. The connection diamond 24 is formed in each case in a row on the end face when individual pocket springs 35 are connected to one another.

Starting from the joint region 14, which is formed in the horizontal plane from the meeting of the upper and lower cloth bodies 15, 16, seams 39c extend upwards and downwards on the respective pocket springs 35, the cloth flaps 31 being formed in the space between the adjacent pocket springs 35 will. The cloth rags 31 are formed by the triangular seams 39a, b, c, a seam 39c passing into the butt region 14 between the upper and lower cloth bodies 15, 16 and extending from there to the adjacent pocket spring 35.

In this way, the adjacent pocket springs 35 are not only connected to one another in the central region, but above and below the central region by the cloth flaps 31 which allow a certain amount of play. At the neighboring pocket spring 35, the cloth flap 31 according to FIGS , starting from the seam 39a over the end face 34 of the adjacent pocket spring 35, a horizontal seam 32 extends.
In this regard, with the pocket springs 35 arranged in rows one behind the other, the horizontal seams 32, 33 are alternately present.

The connection of adjacent end faces 34 of adjacent pocket springs 35 is carried out with the cloth rag 31 according to FIGS. 7, 8. The cloth rag 31 is designed as a dart 18 and is wrinkled in the unloaded state of the mattress.

When the pocket spring 35 is loaded, the upper and lower cloth tabs 31 stretch, the previously present fold-shaped connections 40d, e, f according to FIG. 11 stretching and acting as interconnected tie rods, which limit the lateral movement play of the pocket spring.

The seams 32, 33 on the respective end face 34 of the individual pocket springs 35 can also be attached to the end faces 34 in a multiple parallel arrangement.

In Figure 10, a stitching point 37 is shown on the edge of the end faces 34, which increases the strength.

Furthermore, the cloth rag 31 with wavy upper seam 39b is shown in FIG. In this way, further undulated cloth flaps 1 also form on the underside of the cloth body 16, which, when the cloth cloth 31 is tightened, form strand-like connections 40d, e, f (FIG. 11).

In FIG. 12 it can be seen that with standing spring cores 17.35, the cloth bodies 15, 16 are placed laterally against these spring cores 17.35, so that according to FIG Center region 14 results, which lies approximately in a vertical plane.

Furthermore, it can be seen in FIG. 12 that the spring cores 17 are not only bordered by the darts 18 in their side region, but that these darts 18 are extended by the arcuate seams 39a, so that the end faces of the spring cores 17 are also flush and are positively edged.

Between the individual spring cores 17.35 lying next to one another, the cloth flaps 31 are then formed in accordance with the technical teaching given above, which ensure that the pocket springs 35 lying side by side are shown to be essentially the same as the movement of the springs.

Claims (10)

1. A pocket spring core mattress with pocket springs (35) arranged in rows, these being arranged individually in each case in a cloth pocket (20,21) and being connected with each other in the central region, mountings (4) being formed in a first and second cloth body (15,16), which mountings (4) receive the spring cores (17), and in the abutment region (14) of the cloth bodies (15,16) a sewn connection is formed,
   characterised in that
   respectively adjacent pocket springs (35) are connected with each other by cloth tongues (31) and cloth pockets (20,21) lying adjacent to each other in each case form a connecting diamond (24) which is defined by upper and lower tucks (18,19).
2. The pocket spring core mattress according to Claim 1,
   characterised in that
   the cloth bodies (15,16) surrounding the spring cores (17) are sewn along a sewing line (22,23).
3. The pocket spring core mattress according to Claims 1 and 2,
   characterised in that
   the linear connection of the cloth pockets (20,21) with each other has a wave-shaped fashioning, whereby the spring cores (17) have clearance of motion and in so doing the tucks (18,19) loop around the spring cores (17).

   seams (32,33) are arranged on the cloth tongues (31), which seams (32,33) extend over the front end (34) of the pocket spring (35).
5. The pocket spring core mattress according to Claim 4,

   the seams (32,33) are arranged in multiple parallel arrangement on the front side (34) of the pocket spring (35).
6. The pocket spring core mattress according to one of Claims 1 to 5,
   characterised in that
   the cloth tongues (31) form fold-shaped connections (4a,d,e,f) in the manner of cord-like connections arranged in rows with each other.
7. The pocket spring core mattress according to one of Claims 1 to 6,

   the cloth tongue (31) has quilting seams (40 d,e,f).
8. The pocket spring core mattress according to one of Claims 1 - 7,
