Abstract

A backing of rectangular or square contour to be inserted in a packaging box for articles to be packaged consists of a cardboard blank and has at least two opposite side walls and at least one backing plate with insertion receivers for the articles. The insertion receivers have an insertion aperture and a receiving shaft moulded onto the latter in the insertion direction. The insertion aperture has an aperture shape which surrounds the inserted articles with fitting clearance. The receiving shafts have shaft walls which clamp the inserted articles. In the insertion direction, the shaft walls have an extent which brings about stabilisation against wobbling in respect of the inserted articles.
