Description

The invention relates to an internal filter for aquariums of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.

An internal filter of this type is known (DE-GM 81 26 762.2), which is approximately rod-shaped and has an upper pump head, closed off with a cover, in which the complete electric motor with stator and rotor as well as its bearing axis and bearings, including that of the rotor driven impeller are included and in which the pump chamber and the pressure channel are arranged. The electric motor with its components is permanently installed in this pump head. The pump chamber and the pump wheel arranged therein are located below the stator and the rotor. Below this pump head is a housing part which contains a central suction channel coaxial to the rotor, which is defined, for example, by a tube provided with openings. At least one filter insert is placed on the pipe. The housing part containing this filter insert has openings in its wall through which water is sucked in and sucked in through the filter insert into the central tube forming the suction channel can be. From there, the water gets through the pump through the pump chamber in the pump head and from there into the pressure channel located therein, through which the water is guided upwards until it can exit the pump head from an outlet opening located at the top. In this internal filter, the lower end of the bearing axis is held in a special base part which is detachably attached to the pump head from below and is located between the latter and the housing part adjoining it below, in which the filter insert is contained. If this known internal filter is to be cleaned, it must be removed as a whole from the aquarium tank and then dismantled. The lower tubular housing part can be pulled off to change the filter insert. However, if, for example, the pump wheel, the adjacent area of the rotor, the area of the pump chamber or the pressure channel are to be cleaned, the bottom end of the pump head must first be loosened and removed. Then the rotor with the bearing axis and bearings may disintegrate into individual parts, so that assembly causes problems. In addition, the individual areas are still difficult to access and therefore difficult to clean, even when the rotor with pump wheel is removed.

The invention has for its object to provide an internal filter for aquariums of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be dismantled quickly and easily by the user without special expertise and auxiliary tools so that a filter insert located in the filter chamber can be replaced quickly and easily and also other functional parts of the internal filter are easily accessible for cleaning, maintenance and repair purposes.

The object is in an internal filter for aquariums of the type mentioned according to the invention by the Features solved in the characterizing part of claim 1. Further advantageous features of the invention and refinements to this result from claims 2 to 34.

By dividing the inner filter into the three segments that can be detached or reassembled, of which the first segment essentially contains the stator with electrical supply, it is possible, e.g. to replace the filter insert or for other cleaning or maintenance work, only to replace the third and second segments, while the first segment can still remain at the intended location within the aquarium tank. The detached second and third segments can be removed from the pool and cleaned if necessary. If it is only a matter of changing the filter insert, only the third segment has to be lifted off, so that the upper end of the second segment is exposed for the removal of the filter insert. The filter insert can then be quickly and easily removed upwards, without the risk that any dirt particles adhering to the filter insert get into the aquarium tank. Should cleaning e.g. of the third segment or also of the second segment, both segments are removed from the tank with the first segment remaining in the aquarium tank, cleaned and reinserted. This can also be done quickly and easily by the user without special knowledge and special tools.

In the drawings, an internal filter 10 is shown, which is advantageous for. B. can be dimensioned as a small filter, the z. B. suitable for aquariums up to 60 liters. As indicated in FIG. 3, the internal filter 10 is immersed in an aquarium tank 11 and its rear side 12 is releasably attached to the facing inside 13 of an aquarium wall 14 by means of suitable holders 15, preferably by means of suction cups. The water level in the aquarium tank 11 is indicated at 16 in FIG. 3, from which it can also be seen that the internal filter 10 is immersed correspondingly deep into the water in the aquarium tank 11.

The internal filter 10 has an electric motor 17, which has a stator 18 and a rotor 19 in the usual way and is fed from the power supply via an electrical feed line 20, the feed line 20 leading upwards out of the aquarium tank 11. The electric motor 17 can be of a conventional type, e.g. B. be designed as a self-starting synchronous motor, the rotor 19 is permanently magnetic, for. B. is formed with two or more poles and is radially polarized, so that the magnetic poles with changing polarity are evenly distributed around the circumference of the rotor. The rotor 19 is located in a passage 21 of the stator 18, forming the required air gap. The rotor 19 is held on a one-part or two-part bearing axis 22 and rotatably mounted, which extends substantially vertically and is held at both ends in associated bearings 23 and 24, the z. B. consist of elastic elements, for example rubber grommets. The rotor 19 drives a pump wheel 25 of a pump, which is located above the rotor 19 and within a pump chamber 26 and z. B. is multi-wing, as shown.

The inner filter 10 also has a suction channel, generally designated 30, which is connected on the one hand to the pump chamber 26 and which is preceded by a filter chamber 31 in the inner filter 10, to which the suction channel 30 is also connected. With the pump wheel 25 rotating, at least one suction opening 32, which is open to the outside and is below the level of the water level 16, can suck water from the aquarium tank 11 into the filter chamber 31, as is shown in FIG. 2 by an arrow 33. At least one schematically indicated filter insert 34 can be contained in the filter chamber 31, which consists of filter material, e.g. B. made of foam or other suitable filter material, including activated carbon or the like .. This filter insert 34 is only schematically indicated here as a coherent, upwardly extractable square block. It is traversed by the sucked-in water according to the arrows in FIGS. 2 and 3 over its entire vertical extent or at least over a substantial part thereof, whereupon the water, after passing through the filter insert 34, the suction channel 30 and the pump chamber 26, enters a pressure channel 40, which is connected on the one hand to the pump chamber 26 and on the other hand to at least one outlet opening 41, from which the water emerges from the internal filter 10 in accordance with the arrows in FIGS. 2 and 3 and returns to the aquarium tank 11. The internal filter 10 is so deeply immersed in the water in the aquarium tank that the at least one outlet opening 41 is preferably located above the water level 16.

Another peculiarity of the inner filter 10 is that it consists of three detachable or re-assemble, z. B. pluggable, segments 50, 60 and 70 is composed, which are designed so that these segments 50, 60 and 70 can be separated from the user at any time if necessary, for. B. so how is shown schematically in an exploded view in Fig. 1. As a rule, the first segment 50 will remain detachably fastened within the aquarium tank 11 and thereby attached to the aquarium wall 14 and only the second segment 60 and third segment 70 will be pulled upwards from the first segment 50, as will be explained in more detail later.

The first segment 50 is approximately L-shaped, with the shorter L-leg 51 projecting forward and onto which the second segment 60 can be placed in the vertical direction from above. The first segment 50 essentially contains the stator 18 of the electric motor 17 with an electrical feed line 20 and forms the part which can be detachably attached to the aquarium wall 14 with its rear side 12, as already explained, and the z. B. for cleaning the inner filter 10 can remain in this fixed position shown in FIG. 3.

The second segment 60 is designed in such a way that it essentially contains the rotor 19 together with the bearing axis 22 and bearings 23 and 24 as well as the pump wheel 25 and also the pump chamber 26, at least most of it, as well as the filter chamber 31, the pressure channel 40 and the suction channel 30 , at least a substantial part of the latter being part of the second segment 60.

The third segment 70 is designed as an approximately cap-shaped cover and can be placed on top of the second segment 60, the latter closing off at the top. The third segment 70 has the at least one suction opening 32 that can be connected to the filter chamber 31 and the at least one outlet opening 41 that can be connected to the pressure channel 40.

The so assembled internal filter 10 has in the assembled state of these three segments 50, 60 and 70 an elongated and substantially quadrangular, in particular approximately rectangular or square, body, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, wherein in the use position this body is aligned approximately vertically and is held in the aquarium pool 11. The third segment 70, in particular in the form of the approximately cap-like cover, can be placed on the upper side of the second segment 60, but not on the first segment 50, with the second segment 60 on the upper side up to the height of the approximately vertical, longer one in the mounted state L-leg 52 of the first segment 50 extended. In an embodiment not shown, the internal filter has an elongated and essentially round and / or angular, e.g. also triangular, body.

The third segment 70 has a z. B. round cap 71, which closes the pressure channel 40 approximately in the region of its upper end 42 and contains at least one opening 72 which, according to the view in FIG. B. is formed as an approximately reverse U-shaped slot and forms the outlet opening described above, through which the water exits the pressure channel 40 and gets back into the aquarium tank 11. The cap 71 has a z. B. approximately cylindrical wall 73 and is inserted with this in the third segment 70 and held pivotally therein, for. B. by a pivot angle of z. B. maximum 70 °. As a result, the cap 71 forms an upper swivel spout, the user being able to specify the direction of the spout by rotating the cap 71.

In addition, the third segment 70 is provided with a device for controlling the volume flow. For this purpose, the third segment 70 contains z. B. a passage cross section in the pressure channel 40, in particular in the transition region from the pressure channel 40 to the outlet opening 41, controlling slide 74, by means of which the volume flow can be controlled. The slide 74 engages transversely in a tube part 75 of the third segment 70 and controls its passage cross section.

The slide 74 is engaged by an adjustment handle 76 which can be gripped from the outside and can be actuated in the same slide direction and which is held in the third segment 70 so as to be displaceable. The third segment 70 is designed as a one-piece plastic molded part, into which the cap 71 and the displaceable slide 74, together with the adjusting handle 76, are interchangeably inserted. The third segment 70 is e.g. B. connectable by means of a plug connection to the upper end of the second segment 60. The pipe part 75 engages in the open top 42 of the pressure channel 40, producing an at least substantially tight connection.

As can be seen in particular from FIG. 1, the third segment 70 has at least one extension, in the exemplary embodiment shown two extensions 77, 78, each of which has openings 79 and 80, e.g. B. approximately vertically directed slots is provided, each extension 77, 78 from the openings 79 and 80 in the suction channel 30, in particular first in the filter chamber 31, transferred. The two projections 77, 78 are located on the front 81 directed to the left in FIGS. 1 and 2 and protrude somewhat there. The extensions 77, 78 run at a distance from one another and approximately parallel to one another, with each being designed in the same way. Each extension 77, 78 engages over the second segment 60 at its facing upper end on the corresponding front side 61 thereof.

The opening 72 forming the outlet opening 41 in the cap 71, in particular in its wall 73, in the third segment 70 is provided on the same front 81 as the openings 79 and 80 forming the suction openings 32 and formed by means of the extensions 77, 78 on both sides, however at a distance above it, so that there is a clear vertical separation between the outlet opening 41 on the one hand and the suction openings 32 on the other.

Details of the first segment 50 are explained below. This is preferably designed as a one-piece plastic molded part, in which the stator 18 with the electrical lead 20 is inserted. The back 12 of the longer, approximately vertical L-leg 52 forms the fastening side on the holder 15, for. B. sucker, are arranged for releasable attachment to the inside 13 of the aquarium wall 14. This rear side 12 contains an approximately groove-shaped receptacle 53 in which the electrical feed line 20 is guided upwards. The stator 18 of the electric motor 17 is contained in the lower part of the first segment 50, in particular in the approximately horizontal, shorter L-leg 51 and / or transition region of the two legs 51, 52 into one another, where there is corresponding space. The stator 18 is fastened in the first segment 50 and with a watertight seal. The passage 21 in the stator 18 receiving the rotor 19 is directed essentially vertically.

With an approximately vertical front wall 54 of the first segment 50, which runs at a distance from the rear side 12, the first segment 50 forms a rear wall limitation of the suction channel 30, which thus when the second segment 60 is removed from the first segment remaining on the aquarium wall 14 50 is exposed. As can be seen, this front wall 54 in the lower region 55, which leads approximately to the approximately horizontal, shorter L-leg of the first segment 50, forms part of the wall boundary of the pump chamber 26, into which an inclined wall 56 leads.

The second segment 60 is also designed as a one-piece molded plastic part, in which the rotor 19 together with the bearing axis 22 and bearings 23, 24 and the pump wheel 25 and possibly at least one filter insert 34 are interchangeably inserted.

The second segment 60 is shorter by the height of the third segment 70 and the height of the approximately horizontal shorter L-leg 51 of the first segment 50 and narrower by the depth of the approximately vertical L-leg 52 than the first segment 50. The dimensioning is selected such that the second segment 60 - placed on the part of the approximately horizontally shorter L-leg 51 of the first segment 50 projecting towards the front - the first segment 50 to a cross section which is essentially quadrangular, in particular approximately rectangular or square , Body supplemented, as Fig. 2 shows.

The second segment 60 has an approximately L-shaped inner channel, which is closed by walls 62, 63 leading into the pump chamber 26, which forms the pressure channel 40 and whose approximately vertical, longer L-leg extends on the front side and whose approximately horizontal, shorter L- Leg extends to the rear to form the pump chamber 26 and extends below in the bottom area. As a result, the filter chamber 31 is created in the interior of the second segment 60 adjacent to the inner wall 63, which is thus delimited by the inner wall 63, further by the remaining areas of the front wall 64 adjacent thereto and by two approximately parallel side walls 65. On its rear side, which faces the front wall 54 of the first segment 50, the second segment 60 has a protruding wall part 66 which extends approximately over half the height of the second segment 60 and delimits the filter chamber 31. The wall part 66 also delimits with its rear side a corresponding section of the suction channel 30, which is bounded on the rear side by the front wall 54 belonging to the first segment 50 when the inner filter 10 is in an operational state.

Furthermore, the second segment 60 contains a base part 67 which is connected in one piece to the wall 63 and the rear wall part 66 and extends in the transverse direction from one side wall 65 to the other side wall 65. The upward-facing side of the bottom part 67 forms the bottom of the filter chamber 31, while the downward-facing side forms an upper-side boundary of the pump chamber 62. The protruding wall part 66 merges with the arch or, as shown here, obliquely into the bottom part 67, the inclined course roughly corresponding to that of the oblique wall 56 on the first segment 50, which runs at a distance from the rear side thereof. In the extension of this inclined wall 56, a short inclined wall section 68 extends, which extends from one side wall 65 to the other side wall 65 and is also an integral part of the segment 60. The wall piece 68 thus continues the inclined course of the inclined wall 56 and thus completes the diagonally downward transfer section via which the suction channel 30 is connected to the pump chamber 26.

In the area of the bottom part 67, a filter insert 34 introduced into the filter chamber 31 is held at a distance above the bottom part 67 with its lower end. This has the advantage that any filtered dirt particles or the like can collect in this lower area. The at least about half the height of the second segment 60 upward wall part 66 has the advantage that it forms a tub with a corresponding height together with the side walls 65 and the inner wall 63 and the areas of the front wall 64 running on both sides thereof the z. B. when pulling the filter insert 34 upward water remains, which is contained in the second segment 60 and also in the filter insert 34 and can be loaded with dirt particles. This ensures that when the filter insert 34 is changed and any contaminated water present in the tub described above remains trapped there and cannot leak into the aquarium tank 11.

For vertical spacing of the filter insert 34 z. B. protruding projections 69, z. B. webs on which the filter insert 34 is seated in the filter chamber 31.

The bottom part 67 of the second segment 60 has an upwardly directed and towards the filter chamber 31, in cross section approximately U-shaped protuberance 90, in which the upper bearing 23, z. B. a rubber grommet is added for the upper end of the bearing axis 22 of the rotor 19. This protuberance 90 also forms with its upper wall facing the filter chamber 31 a projection corresponding to the projection 69, which can serve as a spacer on the underside of the filter insert 34 seated thereon.

The pressure channel 40 is designed as an inner channel in the second segment 60, which is separated from the filter chamber 31. This inner channel is delimited on the one hand by the front wall 62, which is designed as an at least slightly protruding wall strip that protrudes forward in the manner of a balcony, which stretches from top to bottom in the central region of the front 61 of the second segment 60 and between the front walls adjoining it on both sides 64 runs. The inner channel is delimited on the inside by the inner wall 63, which bulges inwards towards the filter chamber 31 and which extends approximately over the width of the outer wall 62 and with its side edges from the inside to the wall 62 to form a closed channel reaches. Both walls 62 and 63 thus delimit an inner tube channel which is closed with respect to the filter chamber 31 up to the pump chamber 26.

The second segment 60 also has, in the region below the pump chamber 26, a holding device 91 which projects downward and on which the rotor 19 together with the bearing axis 22 and the bearings 23 and 24 is held. When the second segment 60 is placed on the approximately horizontal, shorter L-leg 51 of the first segment 50, the latter dips Holding device 91 into the interior 57 of this leg 51 of the first segment 50 in such a way that the rotor 19 is received therein and in this way reaches the passage 21 of the stator 18. The holding device 91 has a downwardly projecting support part 92 and thereon a lower bearing cap 93, in which the lower bearing 24, for. B. a rubber grommet is added for the lower end of the bearing axis 22 of the rotor 19. The rotor 19 with the bearing axis 22 and bearings 23 and 24 on both sides is held in this way only in the second segment 60, the pump wheel 25 being held at the upper end of the rotor 19 projecting into the pump chamber 26.

If the internal filter 10 is assembled ready for operation, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, and inserted in the described manner into the aquarium tank 11 and attached to the aquarium wall 14, the pump wheel 25 is driven by the rotor 19 in one direction of rotation when the internal filter 10 is switched on. As a result, water is sucked transversely from the inside of the aquarium tank 11 through the suction openings 32 in the form of, in particular, the openings 79, 80, in particular slots, at the extensions 77, 78 into the filter chamber 31 and through the filter insert 34 therein, the water passing through the suction channel 30 and the pump chamber 26 enters the closed inner pressure channel 40 and rises through it and is discharged at the upper end of the inner filter 10 through the outlet opening 41, in particular the slot-shaped opening 72 in the cap 71, in accordance with the arrow in FIG. 2 and gets back into the aquarium tank 11. During this circulation of the water, it is cleaned in the internal filter 10 by filtration. If necessary, an electric heating device for heating can also be integrated.

The electrical part of the electric motor 17 and the electrical feed line 20 are sealed so that any contact with water is excluded with certainty.

From time to time, some components of the inner filter 10 need to be cleaned. This can be practiced quickly, easily, without special knowledge and special tools by the user in the following way. When the electric motor 17 is switched off, the user first pulls the third segment 70 in the form of the upper cover z. B. upwards from the second segment 60, whereby the upper end of the second segment 60 is exposed.

The third segment 70 thus separated can be easily cleaned by the user. If desired, the cap 71 and / or the slide 74 with the adjusting handle 76 can also be removed, provided that cleaning is also desired in these areas. The same procedure is also followed for the purpose of replacement in the event of damage or the like.

If only the filter insert 34 is removed and z. B. cleaned, the user engages from above into the filter chamber 31 and pulls out the filter insert 34. Any dripping water as well as other water still in the filter chamber 31, which can be loaded with any dirt particles, is collected in the manner described in the tub in the filter chamber 31 and prevented from leaking or dripping into the aquarium tank 11. The removed filter insert 34 can be cleaned or exchanged for another. Thereafter, the third segment 70 can be replaced in the opposite manner, so that the internal filter 10 is ready for operation again.

Should the interior of the second segment 60 also be cleaned beforehand, e.g. B. also the pump wheel 25 and the area adjoining it, the second segment 60 is detached from the first segment 50 remaining on the aquarium pool 11 and removed from the aquarium pool 11. In this case too, any water loaded with dirt particles, which is located within the filter chamber 31, cannot run into the aquarium tank 11 and contaminate it.

When the second segment 60 is removed, the rotor 19 with the bearing axis 22 and bearings 23 and 24 is at the same time separated from the first segment 50 and pulled upwards, so that all components of the rotor including the pump wheel 25 are now freely accessible. The inside of the pump chamber 26 is then also accessible from the outside because the lower region 55, which delimits the pump chamber 26 at the right end in FIG. 3, is part of the first segment 50 and remains in the aquarium tank 11 during this separation. The wall part 66 of the suction channel 30 is also freely accessible, since the other front wall 54 delimiting the suction channel remains in the aquarium tank 11 as part of the first segment 50.

With the second segment 60 removed, the entire rotor 19 with the bearing axis 22 and bearings 23 and 24 and with the impeller 25 can be cleaned, serviced and, if necessary, replaced. The interior of the filter chamber 31 can then be easily cleaned with the filter insert 34 removed. If the internal filter 10 is to be put together again to form the ready-to-use body, the procedure is reversed, which is also quick and easy.

In another embodiment, not shown, the suction openings 32 are not contained in the third segment 70, but suction areas are formed on the front side of the chest wall of the first segment 60, for example by webs and channels there between, which are overlapped by the second segment 60 at the top are, whereby a connection with the filter chamber 31 and the suction channel 30 is established.
