Description

"Verpackunσ aus Wellpappe zum Transport und zur Darbietung von Verkaufsartikeln mit Standflächen aufweisenden Verschlüssen" "Packaging made of corrugated cardboard for the transport and presentation of sales items with closures with stand space"
The invention relates to a packaging made of corrugated cardboard for transport and for the orderly presentation of sales items with closures having stand areas, such as dispensers, bottles, bottles, tubes or the like, in an overhead position, consisting of a tray with a flat bottom wall forming the bottom of the packaging and at the edges of the hinged and vertically erected short side and end walls and a hood to be slipped over the tray and closing the tray into a closed box with a top wall and four side walls.
Up to now, sales items made from products filled in dispensers, bottles, bottles, tubes or the like have first been packed in a folding box and then given to several in a corrugated cardboard transport container for transport to the points of sale. At the points of sale, the folding boxes are then removed from the transport container and presented for sale on the store shelves. The current discussion about reducing the amount of packaging now leads to considerations to dispense with the additional folding boxes and to put several of the sales items filled in dispensers, tubes, bottles or the like in a package which is used to transport the sales items to the Serves sales outlets and can be used there for the presentation of the sales items. The customer should then be able to package the individual sales article to take. The packaging forms to be provided must be able to be handled once on the existing production lines, must enable safe and damage-free transport of the sales items and must enable the sales items to be presented in an appealing manner in the trade, ie at the points of sale. In addition, such packaging should not have any plastic parts.
The object of the invention is to provide a packaging which enables a safe and damage-free transport of a plurality of sales items filled in dispensers, tubes, bottles or the like, as well as their orderly and appealing presentation in the sales outlets and problem-free removal by the customers.
In the case of packaging of the type described at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention in that a double-layer insert made of double-corrugated corrugated cardboard is arranged on the inner packaging surface of the bottom wall of the tray and is formed by folding a double-corrugated blank along a scoring and has at least one row of punched-out punchings which are connected to one another and are congruent with one another in both layers of the insert, in a design adapted to the outer contour of the closures.
The sales items consisting of products filled in dispensers, bottles, bottles, tubes or the like with closures having stand areas can thus be placed on the bottom wall of the tray, without the use of a folding box, directly in the upside-down position from the insert. On the one hand, the footprint of the closures and on the other hand, the closures double-layered insert made of corrugated cardboard encompassing a sufficient height for stability and securing the sales items in the tray, which is also sufficiently secure against slipping and tipping over during transport. The hood of the packaging is put over the tray so that a closed box is obtained for transport. The hood can be designed so that it ends with its lid wall slightly above the sales item. To stabilize and further fix the sales items, it can also be provided that the cover wall of the hood rests on the sales items. In this way, the desired number of items in the packaging can be brought safely and free of damage to the Hanπ- 1 and transported to the points of sale. In the shops, the hood is removed and the tray with the sales items placed or inserted on it is placed on the store shelves and presented to the customer. The sales items are fixed in the double-layer insert made of double-corrugated corrugated cardboard so that they do not slip or tip over and are lined up in the arrangement determined before transport. In this arrangement, the sales items are now presented to the customer and can easily be removed individually from the tray. Due to the special design of the insert, the packaging is both transport packaging and shelf insert for the presentation of the sales items. Overall, the invention creates a packaging which makes it possible to dispense with additional folding box packaging for each individual sales item and which nevertheless enables an orderly and appealing presentation of the sales items and a problem-free removal by the customers in the sales outlets. There is no greater waste waste in the sales outlets than with known and usual transport packaging in which the items to be sold are delivered to the dealers the. Only recyclable cardboard waste is generated in the sales outlets and, for example, no plastic waste. The customer incurs less waste, since only the sales item, ie the dispenser, the tube, the bottle or the like, is to be disposed of there and no longer the previously customary folding box which separately envelops the sales item.
The insert is made of double-layered corrugated cardboard in order to achieve a sufficient height for the secure and stable encasing of the closures of the sales items. With a lower height or thickness of the insert, sufficient security against tipping over of the sales items is not guaranteed. In addition, it is important that the double-layer insert rests on the bottom wall of the tray. If, for example, there was a distance between the insert and the bottom wall, such forces would be exerted on the edges of the punched-out portions in a tilting movement of the sales items that they could tear in and tear out. Furthermore, it is important and advantageous that the insert is formed from a blank that is folded along a score to form the double layer. This makes it possible to easily and securely bring the individual punched-outs into alignment with one another in the double layer. If one wanted to bring two individual blanks congruently over one another so that they would not slip, they would have to be glued together and aligned exactly. However, this would only be possible with increased technical and mechanical expenditure or by hand with a very careful procedure. Furthermore, the punched-outs are adapted to the outer contour of the closures of the sales items, so that they lie closely against the edges of the punched-out holes. The punched-out holes are not single, but continuous, since a lower punching force is necessary and there is correspondingly less wear on the punching knives.
In an embodiment, the invention provides that the insert is held on the bottom wall by clamping between the front and / or side walls of the tray. In this way it is easy to fix the insert to the bottom wall of the tray. The appropriate dimensioning of the insert presents no problem for the person skilled in the art.
In order to additionally fix the items of sale to be transported in the packaging and to increase the stability during transport, it is expedient according to a further invention that the cover wall rests on the items of sale in the package when the hood is placed over the tray.

The tray 2 consists of a rectangular bottom wall 7 with hinged side walls 8, 9 and hinged end walls, of which the end wall 10 can be seen in FIG. 1. The double-layer insert 3, which essentially has a base area corresponding to the surface of the bottom wall 7 of the tray 2, is inserted into the tray 2. The lower layer of the insert 3 lies on the bottom wall 7. It is due to clamping or friction between the side walls 8, 9 held fixed in this position. In addition, the insert 3 can also be clamped against the end walls of the tray 2.
Bei übergestülpter HaubeThe bottom wall 7 of the tray 2 forms the bottom of the packaging 1. Slipped over the tray 2 and lying on the outside against the short side and end walls 8, 9, 10 relative to the height of the hood 4, the tray 2 becomes the hood 4 Packing 1 added. The hood 4 has a cover wall 11 and four side walls, two side walls 12, 13 of which are shown in section and one side wall 14 in the top view in FIG. 1. With the hood pulled over
The side walls of the hood 4 can be glued to the front and side walls of the tray 2 or, for example, connected to one another by means of strips of adhesive tape placed around the outer edges of the box and thus held together for transport. The length of the side walls of the hood 4 is dimensioned such that, when the hood 4 is slipped over the tray 2, they are flush on one side with the outside of the bottom wall 7 of the tray 2 and the cover wall articulated on the other side on the side walls 11 comes to lie with its inside at a short distance from the tubes 5. In an embodiment not shown, it can also be provided that the inside of the cover wall 11 rests on the sales items 5 contained in the packaging.
This is halved by a scoring 15 which cuts through the upper cover sheet of the corrugated cardboard into two partial areas 16 and 17, which later form the lower 16 and upper 17 layers of the double-layer insert 3 . There are two in each of the two halves 16 and 17 Rows of punched-out portions 18, 19, 20, 21 of the same design are formed which, after the insert 3 has been folded over, lie congruently along the score 15. The punched holes 18, 19, 20, 21 each have three circular segment punched holes 22, 23, 24, 25, which are continuously connected to one another to form the punched holes 18, 19, 20 and 21. The individual punched-outs 22, 23, 24 and 25 are designed to match the outer contour of the closures 6. That is, they are so large that the closures 6 can be inserted into them and then areas of the outer surface of the closures 6 rest against the edges of the punched-outs 22, 23, 24, 25, as can be seen in FIG. The halves 16 and 17 of the insert 3 have a base area, the size of which essentially corresponds to the inner packaging surface of the bottom wall 7 between the front and side walls of the tray, so that the insert 3 is clamped to the front and side walls 8, 9, 10 is held on and resting on the bottom wall 7 in the tray after the halves 16 and 17 of the insert 3 have been folded onto one another and the insert 3 has been inserted into the tray 2. In order to form the double-layer insert 3, the halves 16 and 17 of the blank made of double-layer corrugated cardboard are folded over towards one another in the direction of the arrow 26 shown in FIG. 3 until, as can be seen from FIG In the visible state, in which the punched-out portions 18, 19, 20 and 21 lie congruently in both layers 16, 17 of the insert 3, the insert 3 is inserted into the tray 2.
The tubes 5 are sufficiently stable and non-slip in the packaging 1 due to the fixing in the punched-outs 18, 19, 20, 21 for transport _ _
gelagert. In the sales outlets, the hood 4 is removed from the tray 2 and the tray 2 with the tubes 5 located there is inserted into a sales shelf as a shelf insert for the presentation of the sales items 5. Because of the double-layered insert made of double-corrugated corrugated cardboard and the resulting height or thickness of the insert 3, slipping or tipping over of the tubes 5 after removal of the hood 4 is prevented, and sufficient securing of the tubes 5 is ensured even in this state. In the tray 2, the tubes 5 are presented to the customer in an ordered order and can easily be removed individually from the tray by the customer. After all tubes 5 have been removed, the tray 2 must then be disposed of. In the sales outlets, there is therefore no greater amount of waste than with known and customary transport packaging in which the articles to be sold have so far been delivered to the dealers. There is less waste for the customer, since only the sales item, in the example described here, the tube 5, is to be disposed of and no longer an additional folding box that envelops the sales item.
