Abstract

A radiant heating element (11) is arranged under a glass ceramic panel (12). Arranged on its insulating support (14) is a heating conductor (18a, 18b) which consists of a plurality of individual wires (19) which are threaded into one another as a fabric or mesh, preferably as a hose mesh, and are connected in parallel.
