Mehrwegeventile werden, um den Installationsaufwand zu reduzieren, zu Funktionseinheiten zusammengefaßt. Es sind auch Ausführungen bekannt, bei denen die Steuerleitungen der Elektrik in der Anschlußplatte geführt werden und über einen Steckkontakt mit den Vorsteuerventilen verbunden sind. Figur 1 zeigt schematisch ein Mehrwegeventil 10, das auf der Oberseite 40 einer Anschlußplatte 12 aufgeflanscht ist.
Die Anschlußplatte 12 hat einen gemeinsamen Zulaufanschluß 14, zwei Entlüftungsanschlüsse 16, zwei Arbeitsanschlüsse 18, 20 und einen Anschluß 22 für die externe Steuerluft.
In einer der beiden Seitenflächen beispielsweise der Anschlußplatte 12, ist ein Schlitz oder eine Ausnehmung 24 ausgebildet, in welche eine elektrische Leiterplatte 26 eingesteckt oder eingeschoben ist.

Durch das Vorsteuerventil 30 wird das Hauptventil 10 über einen ebenfalls in der Anschlußplatte 12 ausgebildeten Steuerkanal 38 wieder in die Ausgangsstellung zurückgeschaltet.
Die Trennung der Vorsteuerventile 28 und 30 vom Hauptventil 10 ermöglicht die Montage einer kompakten Baueinheit bei minimiertem Verdrahtungsaufwand.
