Rod (13, 28, 29) belonging to a set of rods, each of which controls a respective associated vane (5), each vane comprising a shaft (6) about which it pivots on a turbomachine stator (1), each rod being engaged by one end (14) around the shaft of the associated vane, securely attached via its other end (16) to a control mechanism (18), and held towards the vane by a fastening means (15), characterized in that it comprises a projection (24, 32, 33) which extends, in the direction of the shaft of the associated vane, under a neighbouring rod portion (25, 33, 31) so as to hold the projection towards the associated vane.
  2. Control rod according to Claim 1, characterized in that the projection (33) also extends over a portion (32) of the said neighbouring rod.
  3. Vane control rod according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the rod comprises another projection (25) which extends over a portion (24) of another neighbouring rod.
  4. Set of vane control rods in accordance with Claims 1 and 3, characterized in that the rods (13) are identical and each formed of two plates (21, 22) joined together so that they exhibit superimposed parts (23) and non-superimposed parts which constitute the projections (24, 25).
  5. Set of vane control rods according to Claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the rods (28, 29) are formed alternately with two opposite projections and with two pairs of portions exhibiting a hollow for receiving one of the projections.
