Abstract

The invention concerns a packaging (1, 1a, 1b) permitting the visual display of at least one in particular cylindrical or tubular article for sale (6, 6a, 6b) on a card-like sheet of cardboard (2, 3). The aim of the invention is to enable the article to be displayed on the sheet of cardboard without the need for a plastic cover, and for it to be impossible to remove the article without destroying the packaging. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the article (6, 6a, 6b) is gripped between two superposed cardboard cards (2, 3), the first card (2) having at least a cut-out (5, 20, 27) of a size corresponding to part of the cross-sectional area of the article (6, 6a, 6b) and the second card (3) has an arched section (19, 19a, 19b) corresponding to the cut-out (5, 20, 27) and to the cross-sectional area of the article (6, 6a, 6b) and matching the external shape of the article (6, 6a, 6b).

Description

The invention relates to a packaging for the visible presentation of at least one in particular cylindrical or tubular sales item on a card-like carton, the sales item being held clamped between two cardboard cards lying on top of one another and in the first carton card partially covering the cross-sectional area of the sales item and at least punching out and in the second cardboard card is formed with a bulge covering the punched-out area and the cross-sectional area of the sales item and adapted to the outer contour of the sales item.

Furthermore, the invention is directed to a blank for a packaging for the visible presentation of at least one in particular cylindrical or tubular sales item on a card-like carton, the blank consisting of two carton cards which are connected to one another along a folding creasing or a folding line and the first carton card is punched out of it Cross-sectional area of the sales item has partially overlapping size.

So-called blister cards are known in which a card-like box on which the sales item is presented is covered at least on one side by a plastic sleeve. However, plastics are increasingly being criticized in the context of the environmental discussion.

A generic packaging and a generic blank are known from US-A-3,315,931. The display packaging described there has a punched-out area on its front and a bulge on the back. At the bottom, the bulge is closed with locking tabs. A sales item must be placed in the bulge. The closed bottom prevents the sales item from slipping out of the display packaging.

The object of the invention is to provide a solution which enables the visible presentation of the sales item on a card-like carton without a plastic wrapping, the sales item being able to be removed only by destroying the packaging thereof.

In the case of packaging of the type mentioned at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the bulge in the second cardboard card is formed from an area which can be pressed out or expanded due to a mesh-like slot punching, or in that the bulge does not match the punching out recorded outer contour of the sales item is adapted embossing, which presses the sales item into the cutout partially receiving the sales item and holds it there in a clamping manner.

Because of the design according to the invention, it is now possible, in particular, to present a cylindrical or tubular article in an alternative to known blister packs, in which the article is physically visible, a cardboard blank, in particular in one piece and printable on one side, and in which the sales item is not without Destruction of the packaging can be removed. The sales item is held on the back by the bulge. The sales item cannot go forward through the punched-out portion, since it is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the sales item. The bulge can be produced without great technical effort if the slot punching consists of punch cuts arranged offset in a plurality of parallel rows, as is provided by the invention in one embodiment. By pressing this specially stamped area, a network-like curvature can then be produced. To remove the sales item, it can be destroyed later if necessary.

According to a further development of the invention, it is also expedient for the slot punching to be O-shaped or U-shaped.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the first cardboard card has punched-outs which are separated by a web. The sales article can be held in the arch by the web. It is then possible to remove the sales item from the sales pack by destroying this web.

In order to further improve the possibilities of the clamping detection of the sales item to be presented with the packaging, which is particularly expedient in the case of tubular sales items, it is provided according to a further development of the invention that the Punch in the central extension of its upper area is supplemented by a T-shaped slot punch.

In an embodiment, the invention further provides a punched-out section with a length corresponding to the height of the sales item and with a width that is slightly less than the width of the sales item.

Due to the special design of the cutout, the sales item to be presented is held in a clamped manner by the upper edges of the cutout and the width of the cutout, which is smaller than the size of the sales item to be presented, prevents the sales item from slipping through or falling through towards the front of the cardboard card. On the back, the sales item to be presented is held by the embossing.

For the formation of a stand area of the packaging, it is also expedient that the embossing runs through the entire second cardboard card in the direction parallel to the folding creasing and the punched-out section only pulls through the first cardboard card, as the invention provides in a further development.

In order to also be able to present tubes in the packaging according to the invention and to securely fasten them, the invention also provides that slits or linear openings are formed in the side wall regions of the embossing. The flat lower tube edges can then be inserted into these openings and the tube can thus be fixed, whereas the design of the punching and the embossing are based on the size of the cylindrical region of the tube to be presented.

Furthermore, the invention provides that the packaging consists of two cardboard cards which are connected to one another on a common side edge and which are glued or welded to one another in areas outside the punched-out area and the bulge. This makes it possible to insert the sales item to be presented into areas between the two cardboard cards that lie outside the punched-out area and the curved area. For example, tubes with their flat lower ends can be pushed between the cardboard cards with the formation of a gap in the lower region of the punched-out area and can also find hold here by clamping and friction. The gap between the two cardboard cards is formed because the cardboard areas adjacent to the punched-out area and the curvature are not provided with adhesive and the cardboard cards can thus be lifted a little apart. At least in the outer areas of the cardboard cards, these are of course connected to one another by gluing, welding, etc. The first and the second cardboard card are hinged to one another by means of a folding groove or fold lines formed on a common cardboard side. This makes it possible to produce the packaging from a one-piece and one-sided printed or printable cardboard blank.

Furthermore, in order to fix the sales item to be presented, in the event that it has caps or closures in its head or bottom area which at least partially have recesses, it is advantageous according to a further embodiment of the invention that at least one side edge of the cutout, in particular the upper and / or the lower side edge is profiled.

Finally, in order to have to provide a hole in a cardboard card for hanging the packaging on a suitable device, the invention is further designed such that the first cardboard card extends in the area of a side edge beyond the second cardboard card and a hole is punched out in this area is. This special design avoids overlap errors that could result if a hole were punched out in each of the cardboard cards.

This creates blanks with which the packaging described above can be produced in a technically simple and cost-effective manner. In particular, such one-piece blanks can be easily printed on one side.

In an embodiment, the invention provides that the cardboard card has two punched-outs which are separated by a web.

A further development of the invention, in particular for tubular sales articles, is characterized in that the punched-out has a T-shaped slot punched in the central extension of its upper region.

The advantages that can be achieved with the configurations of the further subclaims correspond to the advantages listed above for the packaging.

The packaging designated 1 overall in FIGS. 1 to 3 consists of two cardboard cards 2 and 3 lying on top of one another. The first cardboard card 2 forming the front side 4 of the packaging 1 has a punched-out section 5. This punching 5 has a length corresponding to the height of the sales item 6 to be presented with the packaging 1 and a width which is slightly less than the width of the sales item 6. This punch-out 5 thus creates a viewing window in the first cardboard card 2, which partially accommodates the sales item 6. The sales item 6 is preferably held axially clamping in the punched-out 5 and projects with its front region 7 through the punched-out 5 and protrudes from the plane of the front surface 4 of the first cardboard card 2. Characterized in that the punched 5 is made smaller in width than the width of the sales item 6 or in the case of a known glue stick shown here smaller than its diameter, the sales item 6 can not be used without violence and destruction of the package 1 by the punching 5 step through. An embossing 9 forming a bulge 19 is formed in the second cardboard card 3 forming the rear presentation surface 8. The embossed item 9 fixes the sales item 6 to be presented on the back and can only be removed by destroying the packaging 1.

The two cardboard cards 2 and 3 are preferably glued to one another in the areas lying on top of one another outside of punched-out area 5 and embossing 9. FIGS. 5 and 6 show a blank with which the packaging 1 can be easily manufactured. With this cut, the first cardboard card 2 and the second cardboard card 3 are hinged to one another along a common cardboard side by means of a folding groove 10. The embossing 9 runs through the entire second cardboard card 3 in the direction parallel to this folding groove 10. The punched-out 5 in the first cardboard card extends only over partial areas parallel to the direction of the folding groove 10. This one-piece blank, designated as a whole by 11, can initially be applied to the visible one Front side 4 and the visible back side 8 forming cardboard cards 2 and 3 are printed on one side before the punching 5, the embossing 9 and the embossing groove 10 are attached. The packaging 1 can be formed by inserting the sales item 6 into the punched-out area 5 and then folding the cardboard cards 2 and 3 along the folding groove 10 and then gluing the surfaces of the cardboard cards 2 and 3 which then lie on top of one another.

In order to additionally fix the sales item 6 to be presented in the punched-out 5, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4 the lower side edge of the punched-out 5 is profiled in the form of a nose or curved rounding 12. Such a profile 12 can, for example, in the floor area of the sales item 6 engage recesses and thus bring about an additional fixation of the sales item.

Along the lower edge 13, the first cardboard card 2 and the second cardboard card 3 are flush with one another, so that there is a uniform and straight continuous side edge 13. Due to the continuous design of the embossing 9, this results in a standing area denoted by 14 in FIG. 2, which enables the packaging 1 to stand freely on flat surfaces. In the area opposite the side edge 13, the first cardboard card 2 extends beyond the upper edge 15 of the second cardboard card 3. In this area 16, a hole 17 is punched out for hanging the packaging 1 on a suitable device. This hole 17 is preferably designed in the form of a so-called euro hole.

Finally, in FIGS. 2, 3 and 5, slots or line-shaped openings 18 are shown in the side wall areas of the embossing 9. In the event that a tubular sales article is to be presented with the packaging according to the invention, the side regions of the flattened lower tube edges are introduced into these openings 18 and an additional fixation of the tube in the packaging is thus achieved. Otherwise, the punched-out 5 and the embossing 9 are then adapted in size to the diameter of the upper tube area in accordance with the above description.

7-10 and 11-14 show two further embodiments of a packaging according to the invention including the respective blanks. In these figures, the reference numerals are 2 for the first cardboard card, 3 for the second cardboard card, 4 for the The front of the packaging and 8 for the back of the packaging have been taken over in accordance with the description of FIGS. 1-6, since the same parts of the packaging or the blanks are referred to here. In the case of the packaging 1a, a punched-out 20 is formed in the first cardboard card 2 forming the front side 4. This punching 20 is interrupted approximately in the middle by a web 21 which is connected to the cardboard card 2. As a result, the punching 20 is made in a size that is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the cylindrical sales item 6a. That is, the punched-out 20 is designed in a size that partially covers the cross-sectional area of the sales item 6a. In cooperation with the bulge 19a shown in FIG. 8, for example, the sales item 6a is held in the packaging 1a by the web 21. The article of sale 6a can therefore only be removed from the packaging after the web 21 has been destroyed. The bulge 19a has a network-like lattice-like structure. To form this bulge 19a, the blank designated 11a in FIG. 9 has an area in the second cardboard card 3 with an O-shaped slot punch 22. This slot punch 22 is of such a size that it covers both the cross-sectional area of the article 6a and the area of the punch 20. Furthermore, the blank 11a has a fold line 23 along which the cardboard cards 2 and 3 of the blank 11a are connected to one another and can be folded together. In the upper area of the blank 11a, holes 17 are punched out congruently in both cardboard cards.

The production of the packaging 1a from the blank 11a will be explained with reference to FIG. 10. First, by pushing the area in or out with the slot punch 22 in the direction of the arrow 24 the bulge 19a is formed. The bulge 19a protrudes from the surface of the second cardboard card forming the rear side. The sales item 6a is inserted into the bulge 19a. The cardboard card 2 is then folded onto the cardboard card 3 in the direction of the arrow 25, areas of the cardboard card 2 and, if appropriate, the cardboard card 3, which are outside the punched out 20 and the slot punching 22, being provided beforehand with adhesive. After the cardboard cards 2 and 3 then lie on top of one another, the packaging 1a is formed. The sales article 6a can only be removed from this packaging 1a after the network-like bulge 19a or the web 21 has been destroyed. The mesh-like structure of the bulge 19a occurs when the slot punch 22 is pressed out, for which purpose the individual punch cuts 26 in the slot punch 22 are each offset in adjacent paths.

The packaging 1b shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 is particularly suitable for the presentation of tubes. This has a punched-out 27, the size and shape of which essentially corresponds to the container body of the tube 6b. Only in the lower area is the cross-sectional area of the tube 6b not covered by the punch 27. This area is shown in dashed lines in FIG. 11. In this area the tube 6b is clamped between the cardboard cards 2 and 3. The packaging 1b is formed from the blank 11b shown in FIG. 13. In the cardboard card 2, this has, in addition to the punch 27, a further T-shaped slot punch 28 by which the punch 27 is supplemented in the central extension of its upper region. By means of this T-shaped slot punch 28, two regions 29 and 30 are formed, which flap back like a flap when the tube 6b is inserted and grasp the closure 31 of the tube by clamping. To the first Cardboard card 2 of the blank 11b is articulated by means of a crease 32, the second cardboard card 3. A slot punch 33 in the form of an upside-down U is formed in this cardboard card. Just as with the blank 11a, the individual die cuts 34 are here offset from one another, so that when the slot punch 33 is pressed out from the plane of the cardboard card 3, a net-like bulge 19b again results. To produce the packaging 1b from the blank 11b, the area of the slot punch 33 is first pressed out of the cardboard card 3, as already described above for packaging 1a. Areas lying outside the slot punch 33 and the punched holes 27 and 30 are then coated with adhesive before the cardboard cards 2 and 3 are folded together and glued along the fold line 32. Then, as shown in FIG. 14, the tube 6b is then inserted into the packaging. First, tube 6b is pushed in the direction of arrow 35 between cardboard cards 2 and 3 lying one on top of the other. Since the cardboard cards 2 and 3 are not glued to one another in this area, they are lifted off from one another to form a small gap and hold the tube 6b in this area between them by frictional forces. This area is shown in dashed lines in FIG. 11. The tube is then pressed into the T-shaped slot 28 in the direction of the arrow 36, the flap-like regions 28 and 29 then folding inwards in the direction of the bulge 19b and thereby gripping the closure 31 of the tube 6b. The tube 6b can only be removed from the packaging 1b if either the bulge 19b or the flaps 29 and 30 and the region of the cardboard card 2 covering the tube 6b are destroyed.

The blanks 11a and 11b consist of cardboard cards 3 and 3, which are of the same size and each have holes 17a and 17b in their upper region. The cardboard cards 2 and 3 of these blanks lie congruently on top of one another in the folded state. The areas of the blanks 11a and 11b forming the front side 4 and the rear side 8 can be printed.

Claims (18)

1.
