Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß die Wäschetrommel mit ihrer kreisrunden Beschickungsöffnung an einem innen am Fensterrahmen ausgebildeten kreisrunden Lagerschild gelagert ist und daß die Seitenlinien in der Form der Öffnung nach außen gekrümmte Sehnen eines gedachten Umkreises um die Öffnung bilden und die Ecken eine zu den Seitenlinien stetige, im Vergleich dazu aber stärkere Krümmung aufweisen. Die Form der Fensterrahmen-Öffnung ähnelt dadurch stark der Form eines Fernseh-Bildschirmes und bietet erheblich mehr Fläche zur Installation eines Flusenfilters. Fast die gesamte Breite und wie beim Stand der Technik die gesamte Höhe stehen dieser Filterfläche zur Verfügung. Die Unterkante der Fensterrahmen-Öffnung bildet auch gegenüber der Wäschetrommel eine nach außen gekrümmte Sehne, deren Bogenhöhe zur inneren Kontur des Trommelmantels noch genügend groß ist, um zu verhindern, daß in die Trommel geladene Wäschestücke ohne weiteres durch den geöffneten Fensterrahmen-Öffnung fallen. Die Form der Fensterrahmen-Öffnung, die grundsätzlich zu ihren senkrechten und waagerechten Mittellinien symmetrisch ausgebildet ist, erhält weiterhin die vorteilhafte Möglichkeit, den Türanschlag mit geringem Montageaufwand wie beim deutschen Gebrauchsmuster 81 30 602 zu wechseln. - Laundry drier with a laundry drum (4), which is borne to be rotatable about an at least nearly horizontal axis and which in the end base displays a circularly round charging opening which is closable by a door which is borne to be pivotable near to a window frame (3), which is at at the front side of the housing and the opening of which displays a shape at least approximating a rectangle, and which at its inward side displays a plug body (7), which projects into the opening (2) of the window frame (3) and has a shape matched to the window frame opening, characterised thereby, that the laundry drum (4) is borne with its circularly round charging opening at a circularly round bearing plate formed inwardly at the window frame (3) and that the side lines (9, 10) in the shape of the opening (2) form outwardly curved chords of a notional circumscribing circle around the opening (2) and the corners (11 or 16) display a steady, but comparatively greater curvature to the side lines (9, 10).
