Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kontaktbauelement mit einem Anschlußteil, der einen Anschlußpunkt zum Verbinden mit einem Anschlußelement aufweist, und einem Kontaktteil, für den Gegenkontakt des Anschlußelements, wobei das Kontaktbauelement in einem Basisgehäuseteil einer ersten Baueinheit zusammen mit wenigstens einem weiteren gleichartigen Kontaktbauelement in einem vorgegebenen rasterförmigen Teilungsabstand bedarfsentsprechend voneinander beabstandet einsetzbar ist und für das wie auch für die anderen Kontaktbauelemente in einer weiteren, mit der ersten Baueinheit steckverbindbaren zweiten Baueinheit jeweils ein Gegenkontakt in räumlich damit übereinstimmender Anordnung vorhanden ist, wobei die Kontaktbauelemente mit den Anschlußelementen verbindbar sind, die elektrischen Baugruppen oder Bauelemente zugehörig sind und die in ihrer räumlichen Anordnung zueinander oder in ihrer Position in der zu steckenden zweiten Baueinheit von den Gegenkontakten abweichen, mit denen sie bestimmungsgemäß zu verbinden sindThe invention relates to a contact component with a connection part, which has a connection point for connecting to a connection element, and a contact part, for the mating contact of the connection element, the contact component in a base housing part of a first structural unit together with at least one further similar contact component at a predetermined grid-shaped pitch can be used at a distance from one another as required and for the other contact components, as well as for the other contact components, there is a counter contact in a spatially corresponding arrangement in a further second unit which can be plug-connected to the first unit, the contact components being connectable to the connection elements, the electrical assemblies or components are associated and which differ in their spatial arrangement to one another or in their position in the second structural unit to be inserted from the mating contacts with which they are to be connected as intended

In electrical systems, there is a need to releasably connect certain structural units to one another in order to establish electrical connections between them or between the functional units contained in them. This takes place in such a way that the one structural unit contains corresponding contact elements which are brought into engagement with the mating contact elements provided in alignment with the other structural unit. For example, it is customary to provide a structural unit with contact pins which are arranged at a certain pitch. The mating contacts of the other assembly that can be plugged in must then perform the function of a socket. These counter contacts are in turn connected to terminating elements of assemblies or components contained in the structural unit. A specific connection configuration is usually specified for these connection elements, which represent, for example, wire-like connection pins. This can deviate from that which exists for those contact elements with which they are to be connected, for example by soldering or by clamping. If there is such a deviation, a direct connection is only possible by taking additional measures. This is particularly disadvantageous with regard to the automated assembly of such structural units. In order to compensate for such an existing deviation in the configuration of the connections to be connected, an intermediate level in the form of an additional printed circuit board which has appropriately adapted terminating elements is possible. Another solution would be to deform the connection elements to align them with their associated connection points and, if necessary, to provide correspondingly aligned guideways.

It is the object of the invention to enable flexible adaptation in the case of different configuration relationships between the parts to be connected.

This is achieved in that for the connection point of the contact component provided for connection to the connection elements, based on the axis of symmetry of its contact part to be aligned with the mating contact in the plugging direction, both in a direction perpendicular to the axis of symmetry and in the direction thereof and also to the axis of symmetry a certain offset is defined in the perpendicular direction, that the contact component is formed in one piece and has a rectangular or U-shaped base part, which in the plug-in direction as the contact part to be contacted with the mating contact and in the plug-in direction in the direction facing away from the contact part as with the said offset for the connection point provided connecting part is designed, and that each contact component can be used with the same direction of insertion in different positions in the base housing part so that you can Through the choice of the position of the contact components used with respect to one another, the connection points can be variably brought into a position which corresponds to the position of the connection elements.

It is therefore possible, with the offset realized according to the invention on the contact part - that is, on the one hand a connection point or connection area for a connection element and on the other hand a contact part for the plug connection with a corresponding mating contact - to convert a configuration into a configuration that deviates therefrom to generate so that connection points to be connected are brought into an aligned position. Only by choosing the position of completely identical contact components for the there is a certain degree of coordination with the spacing used, it is generally possible to convert from a grid to a grid that deviates from it, or to convert a linear configuration to a specific grid. A simple dimensional adjustment in the predefined offset to a pitch is also possible with the contact component according to the invention in a large number of implementations.

From DE-B-1 246 078 a contact component with terminal connections is already known, which serves to accommodate differently configured connection ends, however, this known contact component is not suitable for universal use in a basic housing part of a plug-in device. The same also applies to the contact component known from "IBM Technical Disclosure Bulletin, Vol. 7, No. 1, June 1964".

In principle, the mentioned contact part can be designed as a contact pin or as a socket. The latter function is achieved, for example, by designing the contact part as a fork spring contact. Due to the U-shaped design of the base part, it can be used with this area without any problems in a correspondingly adapted receiving chamber of the base housing part specified for the structural unit in question in a certain rotationally secure position. This can be done in positions rotated 90 ° against each other.

According to a development of the invention, the connecting part is designed as a terminal connection. For its manufacture, the upwardly extended one side surface of the base part is designed as an asymmetrically widened extension, the upper end region of which has a recess defined in its position by the offset in one direction. In the area of this recess, this end region is bent back so far at an acute angle that the connecting element for producing a clamp connection can be inserted through the recess mentioned between the legs formed by the bending back and presses the lower edge of the bent back leg into the connecting pin and thus enables the clamp connection.

The terminal connection of the one-piece contact component can thus be produced from a spring plate of the same material thickness by simple stamping and bending processes. In order to guide a connecting element designed as a connecting pin, a bead is pressed into the leg of the connecting part which is not bent back, so that the alignment with the actual clamping point takes place in particular in the case of automated assembly.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the connection point of the connection part having the said offset in two directions is at a certain distance from the base part. As a result, the respective connection part is freely accessible after the contact component has been inserted in the region of the base part.

Figures 1 to 3 show different views of the contact component according to the invention;
  • in FIG. 4, positions a to f schematically show various possibilities in the implementation of connection element configurations to a mating contact configuration which differs therefrom;
  • FIGS. 5 to 8 show details of the use of the contact component according to the invention in a protective plug which can be plugged onto a distributor strip having the respective mating contacts.

It can be seen from FIGS. 1 to 3 that the exemplary embodiment of the contact element shown, starting from a U-shaped base part, has a connecting part 3 designed as a clamp connection and, at the other end facing away from it, has a fork spring contact with which the contact component 1 serves as a mating contact Contact pin can be plugged on. The legs 6a and 6b an immediate extension of the represent opposite side walls of the base part 5, run towards each other and form the contact point 7.

The connection part formed in the continuation of the base part 5 in the form of the clamp connection 3 arises from the fact that this part is bent back in itself. In the bending area there is a recess 8 to be predetermined as an elongated hole, through which a e.g. can be inserted as a connecting pin between the legs formed by the bending back. A bead 9 is provided for better guidance of such a connecting pin, in which case the depth of the guide groove formed thereby is less than the diameter of the relevant connecting pin. The actual clamping point 4 of the clamping connection 3 is offset in two mutually perpendicular directions with respect to the axis of symmetry 2 of the fork spring contact by the distance value v1 or v2. The actual clamping point 4 is at a certain distance from the upper boundary edges of the base part 5, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2. This ensures that after inserting the contact component 1 into a receiving chamber which is appropriately adapted to its base part, the terminal connection remains easily accessible. With the web 10a, 10b which e.g. is inserted into a correspondingly adapted incision, the component can be supported in the insertion direction. In relation to this direction, this incision is made on the upper edge of the chamber walls.

The respective receiving chambers are located in a base housing part of a structural unit, which then contains those assemblies or components whose connecting elements, for example designed as connecting pins, must be connected to the contact component in a predetermined assignment via the terminal connection. The connection pins provided on an assembly or on a component have a very specific spatial configuration with respect to one another. As a rule, this does not match the configuration that is specified for the contact pins predetermined as counter-contacts, for example for certain design reasons. To establish the plug connection between them The assembly and the first-mentioned assembly, however, align the parts that enable such a connection, that is to say in the exemplary embodiment the contact pins and the fork spring contacts, in alignment with one another.

In the representations of FIG. 4 provided with the reference numerals a to f, some basic possibilities are schematically indicated, in which the contact component 1 according to the invention can be used to convert a given geometry of the mentioned connection pins into a different geometry of the mating contacts for the contact component. The function of a conversion plug of connection configurations, e.g. realize on pin grid. It can then e.g. in the case of terminating plugs, short-circuit bridges and the like, a direct adaptation of the connecting pins of their components contained therein to the e.g. Plug contacts designed as fork spring contacts. In FIG 4 only a few implementation options are mentioned as examples. Depending on the circumstances of the respective application, the contact elements are to be inserted in different positions in the receiving chambers of a base plate, for which in turn there is a certain grid in the spatial assignment of this receiving chamber to one another. In the examples according to FIG. 4, the position of the connecting pins of assemblies or of components is symbolically identified by a small circle and the position of the mating contacts, which is also fixed by design, and symbolically the position of the contact points by an X. In addition, at least for the representations a and b, the respective position of the contact components used is drawn symbolically in accordance with the view according to FIG. 3.

In the representation according to FIG. 4 a, an adaptation is made from a grid specified by four connecting pins to a mating contact grid that differs therefrom. The individual contact components according to the invention are - as can be seen from the schematic drawing - used alternately in each case rotated by 90 ° with respect to one another. In the case shown in FIG. 4b Configuration, connection pins, which are arranged at a certain distance from one another in a straight line, are converted into a grid arrangement for the mating contacts. The contact elements are used against each other by 180 °. If, for example, the three lowest contact elements are considered, a conversion from a linear arrangement to a triangular arrangement could be carried out, in which case the mating contacts or the contact elements of the contact component 1 are arranged at the corner points of this triangle.

In a similar manner, an adaptation of mating contacts, which are arranged in a line, to the connection pins arranged in the specified grid can then be carried out according to FIG. 4c. The contact components are used alternately turned by 180 ° in line.

The symbolic representation of FIG. 4 d shows that two rows of connecting pins can be matched to two rows of mating contact rows having a smaller distance from one another. The contact components can be used in the same position within a mating contact line, the contact components of one row being rotated by 180 ° with respect to the other row.

The representation of FIG. 4e indicates that a row of rectilinearly aligned connecting pins has to be adapted to another row of mating contacts that are rectilinearly aligned in the same way. FIG. 4 f shows another configuration of two rows of pins and two rows of mating contacts.

A specific positioning of the contact component according to the invention results in further implementation options beyond the implementations shown. 5 to 8 show the use of the contact component 1 according to the invention a protective plug 12 shown. Such a protective plug is required, for example, for a distribution strip in order to discharge overvoltages on cable cores which are connected through the distribution strip. Provided that a separate protective plug 12 is used for a pair of line wires, this protective plug must be able to be connected to each of the two wires and to an earth connection. In the perspective view according to FIG. 6, these are the contact pins 14... 16, which protrude from the distribution strip 13 on the operator side. These contact pins or contact blades are assigned to one another on the operating side in such a way that they lie at the corner points of a triangle for constructional reasons, which result, inter alia, from the parts used for the construction of the strip. Two of the three total connecting pins that form this triangular configuration are located in the immediate vicinity of the one outer edge of the strip.

The one of the two units to be plugged together thus represents a distribution strip in this application, while the other unit forms the protective plug. In order to enable this plug-in connection directly, the contact parts to be contacted with the contact pins 14... 16 are introduced in the same assignment to one another in the protective plug. This means that the receiving chambers indicated in the exploded view of the protective plug according to FIG. 5 for the relevant contact components have the same configuration to one another as the contact pins 14 ... 16. The receiving chambers or the contact elements are therefore placed in the same triangular shape with regard to their contact parts (fork spring contact) to be contacted with the contact pins. However, the connection pins 21 of the surge arrester 29, which are to be connected to the contact components 1, lie in a straight line in the longitudinal direction of the surge arrester 19. When using normal contact elements, which are therefore not designed according to the invention, and in which usually the If the connection point lies in the axis of symmetry of the contact parts to be plugged in, a corresponding deformation of the connecting pins 21 would have to be carried out. This is not necessary when using the contact component 1 according to the invention.

Dies entspricht einer Konfigurationsumsetzung, wie sie auch in der FIG 4 b enthalten ist.7 and 8 show two sectional car positions of the protective plug 1 which is ready for use on an enlarged scale. The clamping point 4 of the connecting part 3 is - as already mentioned - offset in two mutually perpendicular orientations - based on the central axis 2 of the fork spring contact 6 a, 6 b - by the distance value v1 or v2. This special design makes it possible to insert these completely identical contact components into the receiving chambers 20a ... 20c and thus to specify terminal connection points which are arranged in a straight line, although the positions of the receiving chambers themselves are positioned approximately at the corner points of a triangular shape . As can be seen, for example, from the sectional drawing according to FIG. 7, a contact component 1 is inserted into the receiving chamber 20b and 20c in a corresponding alignment with one another. In contrast, the contact component 1 inserted into the receiving chamber 20a is rotated by 180 ° in its position. So that the terminal points for the pins 21 of the surge arrester 19 are in a straight line, although one receiving chamber is laterally offset from the other. There is therefore a conversion of the mating contact points lying on the corner points of a triangular shape to a straight-line arrangement of the connecting pins 21. This corresponds to a configuration implementation, as is also contained in FIG. 4b.

It is therefore for the protection plug to use a commercially available surge arrester without additional changes in the orientation of its pins 21. This is particularly advantageous for automated assembly of such a protective plug. With such an assembly the two top parts 23, 24 shown in FIG. B. are connected in the manner of a film hinge to the upper outer edges of the base housing part 22, pivoted against one another and mechanically connected to one another to form a closed housing for the protective plug by means of a latching arrangement. When the protective plug 1 is placed on the mating contact pins 14 ... 16, the pins 17 present on the base housing part 22 are inserted into corresponding openings 18. This can prevent an unwanted loosening of the plug. The knob present in FIG. 8 on the lower edge of attachment 17 engages behind a corresponding attachment in the distribution strip when inserted. It can also be seen from this FIG that in this embodiment of the protective plug the fork spring contacts of the contact component 1 according to the invention are arranged in the base housing part 22 in a completely protected manner.
