Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for dispensing web sections from a dispensing roll, in which a sliding surface moves a cutting element between the rest position during dispensing and the working position when a locking device is engaged and thus the sliding surface comes to a standstill, which returns to the rest position after the locking device has been released.
- Devices for dispensing web sections from a roll are known in particular as paper towel dispensers, which is why the invention will be dealt with below using the paper towel dispenser as an example, but without restricting it to them.
- the user detects the edge of the towel web protruding to the right and left and subtracts a length from the supply roll.
- the dispensers are designed so that only a certain length can be pulled off and then the paper web is locked. The user can now pull them against a toothed cutting edge, which is arranged in the dispenser or on the dispenser, by the length of the web that has been removed separate from the supply roll.
- the tear-off edge which is generally toothed, is in the immediate vicinity of the beginning of the web hanging out of the dispenser. When gripping the web, there is therefore a risk that the user injures himself on the tear-off edge.
- the object of the invention is therefore to create a dispensing device with a cutting element which is not in the area of the hands while a user is grasping the web and therefore cannot be touched.
- a cutting mechanism for paper towel dispensers which works with a movable knife which is located within the dispenser housing and acts like a pair of scissors.
- the paper web to be penetrated is thus moved between a stationary knife and a movable knife by means of a crank mechanism, the length of a web being cut off by spring force.
- the spring is tensioned by the sliding surface, which is partially wrapped in the paper web, and triggered by further facial expressions.
- a disadvantage of this construction is that, in order to tension the knife actuation spring, relatively high forces have to be exerted on the paper web in order to move the sliding surface and thus tension the spring.
- a paper web is used to dry wet hands, it is always grasped with wet hands, the wetness drastically reducing the paper strength reduced, there is a risk that the hanging paper web start will tear off without unwinding a sheet length. could be.
- Another disadvantage is that two knives must be used and these knives slide past each other exactly, which means that the blades become blunt due to normal wear, no clean cut. more results and a paper jam in the knife area is preprogrammed.
- the present invention is intended to avoid these circumstances.
- the sliding surface is designed as a portioning roller provided with a friction lining, its end faces are provided with a spiral guide for guiding a slide to which a knife is articulated; in the joint that connects the knife to the slide, a knife lever with a return spring engages the rear of the knife is provided with a knife bolt which engages in a release anchor, the release anchor is rotatably connected to the slide via a stay bolt and has on its anchor surfaces Stopper surfaces, which form the locking device with the stop on the end face.
- the portioning roller which is provided with a friction lining, is rotated by pulling on the start of the web, in order to ensure safe transportation.
- a pressure roller ensures that the paper web is fed onto the portioning roller as early as possible. and pressed on it so that there is a large wrap angle.
- the load on the paper web when pulling off is very low, since only the effect of a return spring has to be overcome, which holds the slide in engagement with the spiral guide. This makes it possible to pull off the paper web safely even with wet hands, without the web beginning tearing off due to the reduction in strength when wet.
- the knife When the web is pulled off, the user's hands move away from the dispensing container. After dispensing about half the length of the sheet, the knife begins to advance and, when the full length of the sheet has been unwound, is in its working position in which it is covered by the paper web, ie the towel. By pulling the web against the knife, the web is cut, at the same time the knife is tilted forward into another position, which triggers the locking of the portioning roller. As a result, a transport device to be explained later comes into operation, which the Portioning roller rotates a few degrees to the second stop, whereby the knife is returned to its starting position by the return spring and at the same time the paper web is transported a little further so that it can be gripped better.
- the spiral guide is made as a recess in at least one end face of the positioning roller.
- both end surfaces are expediently equipped with identical spiral guides, so that the knife can be moved without tilting by means of parallel slides.
- the slides advantageously have lugs that engage in the spiral guide and thus enable movement.
- a pivot point is predetermined by the joint that connects the slide to the knife and the knife lever.
- the opposite guide can be arranged as an outer parallel guide in the housing.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the slide is provided in the upper region with an elongated hole which, according to a further preferred embodiment, comprises the shaft of the portioning roller, as a result of which the slide is guided in this region.
- An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the portioning roller is connected to a curve segment which has a transport surface and which engages with a transport lever loaded by a transport spring.
- the transport lever When the portioning roller rotates, the transport lever, held by the transport spring, lies against the cam segment. Due to its incline, it is continuously depressed, which tensions the transport spring. Is the withdrawal of the paper web locked, i. H. If the stop surface of the release armature engages with the stop of the portioning roller, the outermost point of the slope of the curve segment has been reached and the transport lever is in engagement with the transport surface of the curve segment, i. that is, the transport spring is tensioned. After tearing off the paper web, the knife tilts back so that the lock is released, i. H. the stop no longer rests on the first stop surface, the portioning roller is turned by a few degrees by spring force to the second stop surface and thus a piece of paper web is transported to it. At the same time, the knife slides back into its original position.
- a portioning roller (1) which is provided with a friction lining (2), is arranged in the lower region of the sheet dispenser.
- the end faces of the portioning roller (1) have a spiral guide (3), in each of which a nose (5) of a slide (6) engages.
- the slider (6) engages with its slot (7) the shaft (8) of the portioning roller (1). If the portioning roller (1) is moved clockwise by pulling the paper web (39), the nose (5) slides in the spiral guide (3) and thereby moves the slide (6).
- the slide (6) which is knee-shaped in its lower region, has a joint (11) at the end opposite the nose (5), which connects it to the knife (12) and the knife lever (14)
- Bearing blocks (81) of the portioning roller (1) is articulated and connects the recess (65) in the bearing blocks (81).
- the rear portion of the knife (12) which is designed as a toothed knife blade, extends beyond the joint (11) and there has knife bolts (45) which engage in the fork (9) of the release anchor (10).
- the release anchor (10) which is articulated to the slide (6) via a stud bolt (44), has a stop surface (17) on the outside of an anchor surface and the inner stop surface (82) on the inside of the other anchor surface.
- the stops (18) arranged on their end faces (43) abut against the stopper surfaces (17) Release anchors (10) which interact with both end faces (43).
- this stop position of the portioning roller (1) a length of web has been unwound, at the same time the slide (6) has moved to its outermost position, as a result of which the knife (12) has been brought outwards and thus into the area of the removed paper web (39).
- the knife (12) is now in engagement with the paper web (39), by further pulling the paper web (39) is cut through and releases the web section (50), at the same time the knife is counter to the spring force direction of the knife spring (13) until it stops moved to a backstop (42), whereby the release anchor (10) on the in the fork (9) of the release anchor (10) engaging knife bolt (45) is rotated around the stud bolt (44), so that the stopper surface (17) from Lift off the stop (18).
- the knife (12) is locked in this position on the backstop (42) and is only retracted by the knife spring (13) when the web section (50) has been cut off, that is, no more tension is exerted on the knife (12).
- a spring-operated feed to be explained later rotates the portioning roller (1) clockwise by a few degrees until the stop (18) lies against the inner stop surface (82) and locks the portioning roller (1) a second time, thereby creating a new piece the paper web (39) is guided out of the dispenser so that it can be gripped by hand.
- the nose (5) is guided in the spiral guide beyond the shoulder (4) and the knife (12) releases the knife (12) from the stopper (42). So that the nose (5) by the return spring (15) on the leg (16) of the Knife lever (14) attacks, returned to their starting position, so that the knife (12) is retracted.
- the paper web (39) is located on a delivery roller (38) which is arranged in the upper region of the dispenser and rests on bearing stumps (26).
- the bearing stump (26) consists of a downwardly sloping pipe section and is an integral part of a folding bearing (24) which is pressed by means of a pressure spring (25) through the right or left inner wall (56), (57) of the dispenser and with it is connected to the folding pin (23) in and out.
- the folding pin (23) is received by eye bearings (66) which are arranged on the inner walls (56, 57).
- the space between the inner walls (56) and (57) corresponds to the width of the discharge roller (38). If the dispensing roller (38) is used, this is done from below, i.e. along the slope (47) of the bearing stumps (26), which fold outwards until the winding tube (76) of the dispensing roller (38) is reached, i.e. up to the time when the pressure spring (25) press the bearing stumps (26) into the winding tube (76) of the dispensing roller (38).
- the diameter of the discharge roller (38) is limited by a limiter (51) arranged in the rear wall (53) in such a way that only discharge rollers (38) with a defined maximum diameter are used. can be.
- buttons (31) On the delivery roller (38) there is a button (31) which is mounted in a bearing pin (32) and by means of a key spring (33) is held in the support position.
- a hinge pin (30) connects the handrail (29) to the button (31) and is guided in a handrail guide (49).
- the lower area engages with the catch (28) of a swivel plate (27), which can be moved around the swivel pin (22) and carries a folding bearing (24).
- the button (31) By pulling the paper web (39) from the dispensing roller (38), its diameter is reduced, so that the button (31) moves continuously downwards and thus the holding rod (29) is pulled upwards until the dispensing roller (38) is almost empty.
- the holding rod (29) releases the catch (28) and the swivel plate spring (48) moves the swivel plate (27) and thus the folding bearing (24) in the direction of the toothed roller (21).
- the supply roll (40) rests on both sides in folding bearings (24). However, one of these folding bearings (24) is located on the swivel plate (27), that is to say that the supply roll is offset on one side by the swivel plate spring (27) against the sprocket (21) which is mounted in the sprocket block (46).
- the brake (20) is no longer in engagement with the circumference of the supply roll (40) so that it can rotate freely.
- the toothed roller (21) presses the paper web (39) coming from the delivery roller (38) against the supply roll (40), so that the beginning of the web (41) unwinds from the supply roll (40) when the paper web (39) is drawn off Pressure rollers (19) reached and passed over the portioning roller (1) to the dispenser opening (55).
- the fill level lever (34) which is held in this position by the fill level spring (36), lies on the supply roll (40) with a fill level sensor (37).
- the cover (54) of the dispenser has a fill level window (35) through which the scale (52) of the fill level lever (34) is visible; the fill of the dispenser is thus visible from the outside.
- the scale (52) is designed so that a warning already appears when 2/3 of the supply roll has been used up. If the container is refilled in this state, the now partially unwound supply roll (40) is exchanged for the empty winding tube (76) of the dispensing roll (38) and a new supply roll (40) is inserted into the dispenser.
- the trigger mechanism for the supply roll (40) is constructed differently in FIGS. 1 and 9.
- the delivery roller is scanned by a slide (69) resting on the delivery roller (38), which forms an integral part with a flat profile (71), can be rotated about the bolt (70) and a pin (72) on the slide (69) opposite end.
- This pin (72) engages in the control fork (73) an L-profile (74), which is connected to the right inner wall (57) of the dispenser via a bearing journal (75).
- the front area of the L-profile (74) has a hook stop (77) which engages behind a projection (78) of the folding bearing (24) arranged on the swivel plate (27).
- the toothed roller (21) sits on the right side of the cover (54) in a toothed roller block (46), which is an integral part of the cover (54).
- the lid is mounted in lid bearings (58), which are located in the right and left inner walls (57, 56). In its upper area near the rear wall (53) it has a holding slot (67) into which a resilient hook (68) arranged on the rear wall engages.
- the portioning roller (1) is arranged on bearing blocks (81), which thereby forwards when the cover (54) is folded down is folded so that the paper web (39) can easily be passed between the pressure rollers (19) and the portioning roller (1) when changing the roll.
- the shaft (8) of the portioning roller (1) reaches through one of the bearing blocks (81) and carries at its outer end a curved segment (63) which has a transport surface (64).
- the cam segment (63) engages with the sliding surface (60) of the transport lever (59), which is pressed against the cam segment (63) by the transport spring (61). If the paper web (39) is pulled off and the portioning roller (1) is rotated, the cam segment (63) is rotated at the same time, ie the sliding surface (60), which is in the idle state of the portioning roller (1) on the transport surface (64), slides along the circumference of the curve segment (63), moves the transport lever (59) downward and in the process tensions the transport spring (61).
- the portioning roller (1) is locked in that the stop surface (17) of the release armature (10) abuts the stop (18) of the portioning roller (1) .
- the knife (12) tilts back, so that the lock is released, ie the stop (18) and the stopper surface (17) are no longer in engagement.
- the sliding surface (60) slides on the transport surface (64), ie the transport spring (61) pulls the transport lever (59) into its rest position and thus moves the portioning roller (1) until the stop (18) with the inner stop surface ( 82) is engaged so that the Knife (12) can slide back into its starting position and a new piece of paper web (39) is transported to the outside.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for dispensing web sections from a dispensing roll, in which a sliding surface moves a cutting element between the rest position during dispensing and the working position when a locking device is engaged and thus the sliding surface comes to a standstill, which returns to the rest position after the locking device has been released.
Devices for dispensing web sections from a roll are known in particular as paper towel dispensers, which is why the invention will be dealt with below using the paper towel dispenser as an example, but without restricting it to them. In the known towel dispensers, the user detects the edge of the towel web protruding to the right and left and subtracts a length from the supply roll. In general, the dispensers are designed so that only a certain length can be pulled off and then the paper web is locked. The user can now pull them against a toothed cutting edge, which is arranged in the dispenser or on the dispenser, by the length of the web that has been removed separate from the supply roll. The tear-off edge, which is generally toothed, is in the immediate vicinity of the beginning of the web hanging out of the dispenser. When gripping the web, there is therefore a risk that the user injures himself on the tear-off edge.
The object of the invention is therefore to create a dispensing device with a cutting element which is not in the area of the hands while a user is grasping the web and therefore cannot be touched.
From DE-OS 28 36 709 a cutting mechanism for paper towel dispensers is known which works with a movable knife which is located within the dispenser housing and acts like a pair of scissors. The paper web to be penetrated is thus moved between a stationary knife and a movable knife by means of a crank mechanism, the length of a web being cut off by spring force. The spring is tensioned by the sliding surface, which is partially wrapped in the paper web, and triggered by further facial expressions.
A disadvantage of this construction is that, in order to tension the knife actuation spring, relatively high forces have to be exerted on the paper web in order to move the sliding surface and thus tension the spring. However, since such a paper web is used to dry wet hands, it is always grasped with wet hands, the wetness drastically reducing the paper strength reduced, there is a risk that the hanging paper web start will tear off without unwinding a sheet length. could be.
Another disadvantage is that two knives must be used and these knives slide past each other exactly, which means that the blades become blunt due to normal wear, no clean cut. more results and a paper jam in the knife area is preprogrammed.
Die vorliegende Erfindung soll diese Umstände vermeiden. The present invention is intended to avoid these circumstances.
In a device for dispensing web sections from a dispensing roll, in which a sliding surface moves a cutting element between the rest position during dispensing and the working position when a locking device engages and thus the sliding surface comes to a standstill, which returns to the rest position after the locking device has been released, this task is performed by Combination of the following features solved:
the sliding surface is designed as a portioning roller provided with a friction lining, its end faces are provided with a spiral guide for guiding a slide to which a knife is articulated; in the joint that connects the knife to the slide, a knife lever with a return spring engages the rear of the knife is provided with a knife bolt which engages in a release anchor, the release anchor is rotatably connected to the slide via a stay bolt and has on its anchor surfaces Stopper surfaces, which form the locking device with the stop on the end face.
When the dispenser is ready for operation, the beginning of the web hangs out of the dispenser so far that it can be comfortably gripped by the user. The portioning roller, which is provided with a friction lining, is rotated by pulling on the start of the web, in order to ensure safe transportation. In addition, a pressure roller ensures that the paper web is fed onto the portioning roller as early as possible. and pressed on it so that there is a large wrap angle. The load on the paper web when pulling off is very low, since only the effect of a return spring has to be overcome, which holds the slide in engagement with the spiral guide. This makes it possible to pull off the paper web safely even with wet hands, without the web beginning tearing off due to the reduction in strength when wet.
When the web is pulled off, the user's hands move away from the dispensing container.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the spiral guide is made as a recess in at least one end face of the positioning roller. However, both end surfaces are expediently equipped with identical spiral guides, so that the knife can be moved without tilting by means of parallel slides. The slides advantageously have lugs that engage in the spiral guide and thus enable movement.
A pivot point is predetermined by the joint that connects the slide to the knife and the knife lever. The opposite guide can be arranged as an outer parallel guide in the housing. A preferred embodiment of the invention, however, provides that the slide is provided in the upper region with an elongated hole which, according to a further preferred embodiment, comprises the shaft of the portioning roller, as a result of which the slide is guided in this region.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the portioning roller is connected to a curve segment which has a transport surface and which engages with a transport lever loaded by a transport spring.
When the portioning roller rotates, the transport lever, held by the transport spring, lies against the cam segment.

A portioning roller (1), which is provided with a friction lining (2), is arranged in the lower region of the sheet dispenser. The end faces of the portioning roller (1) have a spiral guide (3), in each of which a nose (5) of a slide (6) engages. The slider (6) engages with its slot (7) the shaft (8) of the portioning roller (1). If the portioning roller (1) is moved clockwise by pulling the paper web (39), the nose (5) slides in the spiral guide (3) and thereby moves the slide (6).
The slide (6), which is knee-shaped in its lower region, has a joint (11) at the end opposite the nose (5), which connects it to the knife (12) and the knife lever (14) Bearing blocks (81) of the portioning roller (1) is articulated and connects the recess (65) in the bearing blocks (81). The rear portion of the knife (12), which is designed as a toothed knife blade, extends beyond the joint (11) and there has knife bolts (45) which engage in the fork (9) of the release anchor (10).
The release anchor (10), which is articulated to the slide (6) via a stud bolt (44), has a stop surface (17) on the outside of an anchor surface and the inner stop surface (82) on the inside of the other anchor surface. When the paper web (39) is pulled off over the portioning roller (1), it is rotated. The stops (18) arranged on their end faces (43) abut against the stopper surfaces (17) Release anchors (10) which interact with both end faces (43). In this stop position of the portioning roller (1) a length of web has been unwound, at the same time the slide (6) has moved to its outermost position, as a result of which the knife (12) has been brought outwards and thus into the area of the removed paper web (39). The knife (12) is now in engagement with the paper web (39), by further pulling the paper web (39) is cut through and releases the web section (50), at the same time the knife is counter to the spring force direction of the knife spring (13) until it stops moved to a backstop (42), whereby the release anchor (10) on the in the fork (9) of the release anchor (10) engaging knife bolt (45) is rotated around the stud bolt (44), so that the stopper surface (17) from Lift off the stop (18). The knife (12) is locked in this position on the backstop (42) and is only retracted by the knife spring (13) when the web section (50) has been cut off, that is, no more tension is exerted on the knife (12). A spring-operated feed to be explained later rotates the portioning roller (1) clockwise by a few degrees until the stop (18) lies against the inner stop surface (82) and locks the portioning roller (1) a second time, thereby creating a new piece the paper web (39) is guided out of the dispenser so that it can be gripped by hand. Simultaneously with this rotation, the nose (5) is guided in the spiral guide beyond the shoulder (4) and the knife (12) releases the knife (12) from the stopper (42). So that the nose (5) by the return spring (15) on the leg (16) of the Knife lever (14) attacks, returned to their starting position, so that the knife (12) is retracted.
The paper web (39) is located on a delivery roller (38) which is arranged in the upper region of the dispenser and rests on bearing stumps (26). The bearing stump (26) consists of a downwardly sloping pipe section and is an integral part of a folding bearing (24) which is pressed by means of a pressure spring (25) through the right or left inner wall (56), (57) of the dispenser and with it is connected to the folding pin (23) in and out. The folding pin (23) is received by eye bearings (66) which are arranged on the inner walls (56, 57).
The space between the inner walls (56) and (57) corresponds to the width of the discharge roller (38). The diameter of the discharge roller (38) is limited by a limiter (51) arranged in the rear wall (53) in such a way that only discharge rollers (38) with a defined maximum diameter are used. can be.
On the delivery roller (38) there is a button (31) which is mounted in a bearing pin (32) and by means of a key spring (33) is held in the support position. A hinge pin (30) connects the handrail (29) to the button (31) and is guided in a handrail guide (49). The lower area engages with the catch (28) of a swivel plate (27), which can be moved around the swivel pin (22) and carries a folding bearing (24). By pulling the paper web (39) from the dispensing roller (38), its diameter is reduced, so that the button (31) moves continuously downwards and thus the holding rod (29) is pulled upwards until the dispensing roller (38) is almost empty. the holding rod (29) releases the catch (28) and the swivel plate spring (48) moves the swivel plate (27) and thus the folding bearing (24) in the direction of the toothed roller (21).
The supply roll (40) rests on both sides in folding bearings (24). However, one of these folding bearings (24) is located on the swivel plate (27), that is to say that the supply roll is offset on one side by the swivel plate spring (27) against the sprocket (21) which is mounted in the sprocket block (46). The brake (20) is no longer in engagement with the circumference of the supply roll (40) so that it can rotate freely. The toothed roller (21) presses the paper web (39) coming from the delivery roller (38) against the supply roll (40), so that the beginning of the web (41) unwinds from the supply roll (40) when the paper web (39) is drawn off Pressure rollers (19) reached and passed over the portioning roller (1) to the dispenser opening (55).
Until the dispensing roll (38) is exhausted, two paper webs are now dispensed simultaneously, i.e. when the paper web (39) is torn off via the knife (12), two sheets are also removed. This doubling of the paper web (39) lasts until the dispensing roll is exhausted, i.e. It is practical that two to five double sheets are issued before the supply roll (40) is used exclusively. The fill level lever (34), which is held in this position by the fill level spring (36), lies on the supply roll (40) with a fill level sensor (37). In this area, the cover (54) of the dispenser has a fill level window (35) through which the scale (52) of the fill level lever (34) is visible; the fill of the dispenser is thus visible from the outside. The scale (52) is designed so that a warning already appears when 2/3 of the supply roll has been used up. If the container is refilled in this state, the now partially unwound supply roll (40) is exchanged for the empty winding tube (76) of the dispensing roll (38) and a new supply roll (40) is inserted into the dispenser.
In a departure from FIGS. 2 to 8, the trigger mechanism for the supply roll (40) is constructed differently in FIGS. 1 and 9. The delivery roller is scanned by a slide (69) resting on the delivery roller (38), which forms an integral part with a flat profile (71), can be rotated about the bolt (70) and a pin (72) on the slide (69) opposite end. This pin (72) engages in the control fork (73) an L-profile (74), which is connected to the right inner wall (57) of the dispenser via a bearing journal (75). The front area of the L-profile (74) has a hook stop (77) which engages behind a projection (78) of the folding bearing (24) arranged on the swivel plate (27).
When the paper web (39) is unwound from the dispensing roller (38), its diameter decreases, so that the slide (69) moves in the direction of the winding tube (76). As a result, the flat profile (71) rotates with the pin (72) which moves the control fork (73) in the direction of the rear wall (53) of the dispenser and thereby rotates the L-profile (74) so that the hook stop (77) over the projection (78) is raised. The tension spring (79) connects a point of the right inner wall (57) to the extension arm (80) of the swivel plate (27) or the folding bearing (24) and thereby pulls the supply roll (40) onto the toothed roll (21).
The toothed roller (21) sits on the right side of the cover (54) in a toothed roller block (46), which is an integral part of the cover (54). The lid is mounted in lid bearings (58), which are located in the right and left inner walls (57, 56). In its upper area near the rear wall (53) it has a holding slot (67) into which a resilient hook (68) arranged on the rear wall engages.
In the lower area of the cover (54), the portioning roller (1) is arranged on bearing blocks (81), which thereby forwards when the cover (54) is folded down is folded so that the paper web (39) can easily be passed between the pressure rollers (19) and the portioning roller (1) when changing the roll.
The shaft (8) of the portioning roller (1) reaches through one of the bearing blocks (81) and carries at its outer end a curved segment (63) which has a transport surface (64). The cam segment (63) engages with the sliding surface (60) of the transport lever (59), which is pressed against the cam segment (63) by the transport spring (61). The moment the greatest tension of the transport spring (61) is reached, the portioning roller (1) is locked in that the stop surface (17) of the release armature (10) abuts the stop (18) of the portioning roller (1) . After tearing off the paper web (39), the knife (12) tilts back, so that the lock is released, ie the stop (18) and the stopper surface (17) are no longer in engagement. As a result, the sliding surface (60) slides on the transport surface (64), ie the transport spring (61) pulls the transport lever (59) into its rest position and thus moves the portioning roller (1) until the stop (18) with the inner stop surface ( 82) is engaged so that the Knife (12) can slide back into its starting position and a new piece of paper web (39) is transported to the outside.
