Zu den zweifellos am weitesten verbreiteten und auch besonders zuverlässigen Ausführungsformen von Ladenhaltern zählen die an der Fassade etwa in halber Ladenbreite von der Fensteröffnung entfernt montierten Ladenhalter, bei welchen der Laden zwischen zwei Backen, nämlich einem Anschlag und einem einschwenkbaren Klemmbacken, festgehalten ist. Es wurden Verbesserungen getroffen, die eine Anpassung des Ladenhalters an die Ladenstärke ermöglichen und die das Betätigen der Klemmbacken erleichtern. Bekannte Ladenhalter der Bauart mit Anschlag und Klemmbacken sind damit in Drehrichtung des Ladens bestens gesichert. Es hat sich aber gezeigt, daß bei starkem Wind der Laden auch in vertikaler Richtung beansprucht wird. Das Ineinandergreifen von Anschlag und Laden, einerseits durch einen Vorsprung und anderseits durch eine Ausnehmung verhindert das Aushängen des Ladens, wobei einander Flächen gegenüberstehen, deren Flächenvektoren die Richtung der Drehachse des Ladens aufweisen.
