Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for packaging ready-to-use fresh vegetables and accessory ingredients.
Such ready-to-use vegetables, usually designated by the term "fourth range product", are enjoying increasing commercial success because they have all the qualities of a fresh product without requiring long and tedious preparations. These products are usually distributed in plastic bags, possibly filled with a special gas mixture, for example nitrogen-enriched air. In order to respond optimally to demand, it is known in the state of the art to distribute the ready-to-use fresh vegetable with an additional sachet containing ingredients such as croutons, bacon, spices , or seasoning.
In most cases, these sachets are introduced into the packaging containing the main product, for example the fresh vegetable. This results in a risk of contamination of fresh vegetables by the sachet of ingredient with which they are directly in contact, which harms the bacteriological quality of the product.
In other cases, these complementary sachets are usually distributed separately, which has various drawbacks. Indeed, the optimal distribution of sachets of fresh vegetables ready to use on the one hand and complementary sachets on the other hand requires the presence of displays at the particular point of sale. In addition, due to the small size of the sachets containing the complementary products, the unknown markdown on these products is important because it is easy for the customer to conceal one or more of these sachets. In addition, the inventory and supply management is difficult to control, especially since the date of consumption of the main product and the complementary product may be different.
The present invention firstly relates to a process for packaging fresh vegetables prepared ready for use and an accessory ingredient overcomes these drawbacks, and preserving a high bacteriological quality essential for the good preservation of the products.
- introduce one of the products into a tubular envelope closed at the lower end,
- close the tubular envelope along a substantially transverse line at the rear of said product,
- introduce the second product into the open part of the tubular envelope,
- close the tubular envelope along a substantially transverse line at the rear of said second product,
- cut the tubular envelope with two compartments thus produced,
- repeat the cycle with a new first product.
The process according to the present invention makes it possible to guarantee perfect bacteriological quality. Indeed, the main product (fresh vegetables) and the ingredient never come into direct contact.
This characteristic is extremely important because the ingredients are generally prepared with hygienic conditions lower than those required for the preparation of fresh vegetables. Consequently, it is essential to prevent the ingredients from contaminating fresh vegetables.
For example, the ingredients may consist of plastic bags containing bacon, croutons, pieces of cheese or various seasonings. The bagging of such ingredients is rarely done in a clean room, and therefore does not meet the hygienic criteria required for fresh vegetables prepared ready for use. In addition, these ingredients are often prepared at a site remote from the packaging line, and must therefore be transported under hygienic conditions that are difficult to control.
The method according to the present invention makes it possible to carry out a homogeneous packaging of the main product and of the accessory product without these two products coming into contact at any time, from the supply of the packaging line to the final packaging. thus realized.
According to a preferred embodiment, the packaging process uses veins opening into a substantially cylindrical former around which a plastic film is formed into a tubular envelope by heat sealing along a longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the conformator. The lower end of the envelope thus formed and closed by heat sealing along a line substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The first vein releases the first product into the former, the envelope is then heat-sealed along a line perpendicular to the longitudinal axis behind the first product, then the second vein releases the second product into the former. The tubular casing is then heat sealed according to a second line perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, behind the second product, the bag with two compartments thus formed is then cut.
Usually, the second heat-sealed line constitutes both the closure of the second compartment, and the closure of the lower end of the first compartment of the following bag, the cutting being carried out in the middle of the heat-sealed line.
- means for delivering a predetermined mass of a main product into a supply channel of a bagging station,
- means for delivering an accessory product into said supply channel,
- said means being separated and releasing their content alternately,
- the packaging line further comprising a bagging station constituted by a shaper cooperating with said supply channel, means for supplying plastic film, means for heat-sealing the film along a longitudinal axis and means for welding the tubular casing thus formed along a transverse line.
Advantageously, the packaging line includes means for detecting the position of a marked mark on the film, said transmitting a control signal to a computer controlling the packaging process.
These detection means, for example constituted by photovoltaic cells or any other means known in the state of the art, ensure good coordination of the advancement of the plastic film, of heat sealing according to the transverse links, and of product release main or accessory product. These detection means make it possible to avoid the premature release of one of the products in the event of disruption in the advancement of the plastic film.
Preferably, the supply chain according to the present invention comprises means for determining the mass of the main product consisting of a plurality of weight weighing heads. Advantageously, such weight weighing heads are fed via a vibrating dispersion cone.
The present invention also comprises a sachet of ready-to-use vegetables packaged according to the method of the invention. Such sachets consist of a first compartment containing a main product and a second compartment containing the accessory product separated by a heat-sealed line. Advantageously, the main product is enclosed in a plastic bag.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the first compartment carries on its front face an information zone, the second compartment carries on its rear face an information zone, the two information zones being head to tail, the second compartment being folded down on the front of the first compartment.
- FIGS. 1 to 5 represent schematic views of the packaging line at different stages of the process,
- FIG. 6 represents the diagram of the cycles of the various stations of the chain,
- Figure 7 shows a sectional view of a vegetable sachet produced according to the present invention.
The main product, for example salad, arrives at the packaging line via a conveyor belt (1). This conveyor belt emerges above a dispersion cone (2) comprising vibrating radians supplying a plurality of weight weighing heads (3). The purpose of the vibrating cone (2) is to disperse the possibly agglomerated mass of main product coming from the conveyor belt (1), and to ensure a substantially homogeneous distribution of the main product in the different weighing heads arranged radially. At least one of the weighing heads (4) is reserved for the accessory product (5) arriving in the form of sachets by a supply means not shown in these figures. This supply means can be constituted by a second conveyor belt symmetrical to the first. Separator means (6) prevent contact between the main product (7) and the accessory products (5). The weight weighing system is known in the state of the art. To briefly recall its principle, weight weighing consists in associating by computer means some of the weighing buckets (3) so that the sum of the product weights contained in the selected weighing buckets (3) approaches better from the predetermined reference weight. The selected weigh buckets (3) flow into a feed bucket (8) which therefore, in principle, contains a mass of main products (7) which may differ from the reference mass.
These two feed buckets (8 and 9) each contain at the start of the cycle the main product (7) and the accessory product (5). They can pour into a conformator (10) via a cone supply (11). The conformator (10) consists of a cylindrical element around which the plastic film is wound. This plastic film is heat sealed along a longitudinal line parallel to the axis of the shaper (10). Thus, a tubular casing (12) is formed communicating with the feed channel (13) determined by the feed cone (11) and the shaper (10). The lower part (14) of the tubular envelope thus formed is closed by heat sealing along a transverse strip (15).
Le sachet de l'ingrédient (17) a ainsi pris place au fond de l'enveloppe tubulaire (12).In Figure 2, the tilting flap (16) of the accessory product feed bucket (9) (5) is in the open position. Therefore, it allowed the fall of the accessory product which it contained in the supply channel (13). The bag of the ingredient (17) has thus taken place at the bottom of the tubular envelope (12).
Figure 3 shows the next step in the process. The lower hatch (16) of the feed bucket (9) is closed, and the hatch (18) of the weighing bucket (4) is open. Thus, the accessory product contained in this weigh bucket (4) is released and is introduced into the feed bucket (9). Furthermore, heating jaws produce a heat-sealed strip (19) disposed behind the bag (17) of complementary product.
This predetermined mass (21) passed through the supply channel (13) and took place in the second compartment (22) of the tubular casing (12). After closing the flap (20) of the feed bucket (8), the tilting hatches (23) of the weighing buckets (3) selected by the calculation system of the weight weighing assembly opens so as to determine several masses of main product, the sum of which corresponds substantially to the reference mass.
The tubular casing is cut along a transverse line. The lower transverse edge (25) of the tubular casing coming from the shaper (11) is also closed by heat sealing, and the cycle can thus start again with the introduction of a new accessory product (5).
Figure 6 shows, schematically, the time diagram of the different stations of the packaging chain.
During phase T₁, the main basic product is supplied. This product passes over the dispersion cone and feeds the various weighing buckets (3). Simultaneously, and separately in space, the accessory product is introduced into the weigh bucket (4).
La libération du contenu des bennes de pesée (3) sélectionnées s'effectue pendant l'intervalle de temps T₂.The calculator of the associative weighing system causes the opening of those of the weighing buckets (3) whose sum of the masses of their contents corresponds best to the reference mass. The contents of the selected weigh buckets (3) are released during the time interval T₂.
During the test of period T₁ and T₂, the advancement of the film and the heat-sealing takes place along the longitudinal axis. As indicated above, the plastic film includes marks capable of being detected by optical or other detection means. When this mark arrives in front of the detector, it emits a signal S A causing the film to stop running and signaling to the computer that the first compartment of the tubular envelope is ready to receive the product. accessory. This signal therefore triggers the opening of the lower hatch (16) of the feed bucket (9) of the accessory product. This opening takes place during the period T₃. When the accessory product (5) has been released, the computer of the associative weighing system delivers a signal S₂ signaling to the bagging station that it has released the accessory product and that the welding along a transverse line can be carried out. This welding takes place during the period T₅. After this welding, the running of the film is activated for a period T₆. During this period T₆ the film advances by a length corresponding substantially to the height of the compartment containing the accessory product. The film comprising a second marking, the detection cell generates a signal S B when it detects the presence of this mark. This signal S B indicates to the central computer that the supply bucket (8) can release the mass of main product which it contains. This release takes place during the period of T₇. When the lower hatch (20) of the main product feed bucket (8) has opened, the associative weighing system sends a signal S₁ indicating to the bagging station that it can heat seal along a line transverse. This operation is carried out during the period T₈. When it is finished, the bag with two compartments thus produced is cut, and the film advances again for a new cycle.
The bag consists of a first compartment (26) and a second compartment (27) connected by a transverse heat-sealed strip (28). The lower end (29) and the upper end (30) of the bag are also closed by heat sealing. The first compartment (26) contains the ingredient bag (31). The second compartment (27) contains the main product, for example salad leaves. The rear face (33) of the first compartment (26) includes inscriptions which appear when this second compartment (26) is folded over the front face (34) of the second compartment (27) in a visible manner for the consumer. Since the bag is usually made of transparent plastic, the consumer therefore immediately sees the information appearing on the rear face (33) of the first compartment (26), the content of this first compartment (26), the content of the second compartment (27 ) and possibly the inscriptions appearing on the front face (34) of the second compartment (27). The first compartment (26) is held on the front face (34) of the second compartment (27) by any known means in particular by a transparent adhesive strip.
It is obvious that the foregoing description relates to a particular embodiment, and that the invention is in no way limited to what is described. On the contrary, it extends to all the variants that a person skilled in the art is able to conceive.
