Abstract

For a resilient pressure contact, in which a contact head is moved axially against the force of a compression spring on resting against a fixed contact inside a guide sleeve, the object exists of improving the life of the resilient pressure contacts, increasing the reliability by reducing the braided conductor fractures, increasing the current capacity and reducing the overall manual production costs. This is achieved in that a part of the contact head (2a) is constructed on the side facing away from the contact pieces (1) as a hollow cylinder (8) having a wall which has multiple slots (9) radially with respect to the longitudinal axis, the remaining wall sectors being used as current-carrying resilient contact tongues (10) opposite the guide sleeve (3).
