Description
- The present invention provides for a novel, interesting and wisdom-building pat rod ball game set which is easy to play, easy to learn, enjoyable by all the people regardless of sex, nationality and age group, and as such makes for a wonderful game for all the family members.
- In our world today, citizens everywehre are mostly busy everyday, full of pressure at the office, at trade, even at home, and for the most part they have almost forgotten the importance of leisure, pastime activities in which to modify, alleviate both their body and soul for comforts; in addition, the rapid, consistent increase of employed womenfolk as more and more families are concerned to make more money to help with the householding economy has at the same time much reduced the time for family reunion at home, while all the family can sit together to watch TV programs, yet this can hardly have any real altoghether-we-love-it effect because a program that caters to the personal interests of one family member may not be acceptable to another; on the other hand, the lack of law-abiding recreational spots in large metropolitan areas has rendered the youngsters at a loss not knowing where to go for fun when they do have at a lot of leisure to spend. Here in this country, for instance, the fact that many adolescent people lingering and hanging around in video game salons, slot machine, pachinko, jackpot the Japanese version, and MTV, miniature privacy-assured theatre, has indeed given rise to much too frequently recurrent social problems.
- In view of the continuingly aggravated situations facing our society at large, as mentioned in the foregoing, the inventor has succeeded in the consummation of the present invention as a result of years of devoted research for the development of recreational instruments; for the purpose in the main of the provision of a brandnew, highly recreational, as well as wisdom-building game instrument, whereby parents and kids can play together to exploit the love and pleasance in the family bond to the full, the youngsters may exercise their physical and mental agility to the utmost in consummation of body and soul.
- Further advantages of the invention will be appreciated by way of illustration of embodiments to be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
- - Fig. 1 is a three-dimensional perspective view of the invention;
- - fig. 2 is a structural layout of the interior of the game-table that is part of the invention;
- - Fig. 3 is an analytical perspective of the game-table that is part of the invention;
- - Fig. 4 is a structural layout of the pat rod structured under the invention.
- Referring firstly to fig. 1, it is seen that the subject invention pat rod ball game set consists essentially of a novelly structured game table 1 and pat rod 2.
- On the game table 1 (referring altoghether to Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3) will be seen a
course way 11 winding up in tengame holes 12 laid out in an equilateral triangle, each of the ten holes is given a credit score, say score 1 through score 10, on the putt side of the course is marked a putt line as the putt limits. - On the rim edge of the
course way 11 underlies apartition board 13, down the cluster of theholes 12 are provided a pair ofchute 14 confronting and complementing each other, side by side, with frontal tip protruding forwards outside the frontal rim of thecourse way 11, abumper 15 is provided to link up both chutes externally to hold in the ball that rolls to the forefront of the ball-lane 11, while the twochutes 14 interposed between thebumper 15 and thepartition board 13 decline centrally to abut uponfeedback coulisse 16 which extendes at a slope way from the rear side of the game table to a homing rebate 17 which coincides with the putt position at the terminal end of the game table; anotherfeedback coulisse 18 is provided on either side of thecourse way 11, and which runs alongside the course way extending forwards and bends in a 90-degree curve outside the extremity end of the course way, winding up connected to the feedback coulisse 16 underneath the course way. - Referring next to Fig. 4, it is seen that the pat rod 2 is provided like the letter T inverted, with an arcuated ball-
cup 21 provided centrally in front to accommodate the ball for the putt. - To run a game under the invention, the first step is to set the ball into the
arcuated cup 21 embodied as the frontal tip of the pat rod, then, with eyes fixed onto the target hole the player is to give a putt of the rod in the forward direction, whereupon the ball will rush out of the ball-cup and move forth to the target hole to which it is intended to go and the player will hit a score if the ball does get into the hole, in that case the ball will then fall upon thechute 14 and by gravity roll back to the homing rebate by way of feedback coulisse 16; in the event the ball at the putt should fail to hit the hole, it will then find its way into the feedback coulisse 18 on either side of the course way of roll out in front, and eventually roll back to homing rebate 17 by way ofchute 14, feedback coulisse 16; and by picking up the rebound ball from the homing rebate 17 with the aid of the ball-cup 21 of the pat rod, the game can be played all over again continually. - For the game hereunder the cluster of the ten holes arranged in a triangular layout is such that it is easier to hole-out the holes lying ahead, outflanked, closer to the putt position, the hole-out maneuver becomes more and more difficult for the holes lying on the hinder side, and the utmost skill is required to hole-out the hole in centre, a rule of thumb to get hole-out in holes on the rear row lies in the know-how to masterly control of the swinging force, so that the speed at which the ball runs is such that the ball be pushed to jump just past the outflanking holes, into the holes laying inside, there will, of course, be some lucky strokes which get the ball into the high-score holes all of a sudden, pure luck like that will all the more help to add to the pleasure enjoyable to the players. So in short any player may devise a variety of rules to play as he or she pleases, for instance, they may compete for the highest total scores for the hole-outs, or else specify a hole acknowledged to be the most unlikeliest one to hole out as the only hole for scoring competition. The game again, is ideal and truly a best pastime for all the family members old and young, regardless of sex or nationality.
- Another feature of the invention to be pointed out in particular, lies in the unique pat rod and the putt which, while it is rather easy to learn all at the start, is no easy game for mastery, let alone precision control, any deviation caused by the putt that should result in the ball passing by the hole rim, resulting thereby in a switching of the way of progression to wind up holing out in an unintended hole, which much often can mean a complete reversal of the anticipated game result, loser becoming winner, and vice versa; in this connection, then, the subject game should account for all the more so a very popular game for leisure everywhere with only minimum space requirement, it can even be played indoors.
- In summation, the subject pat rod ball game set, by reason of such novelty, recreational merits, wisdom-buildup features, its ability to help drill agility of both body and soul, as a collective work resultant from the inventor's collective brainwork, appears to the inventor a piece of invention worthy of being granted a patent registration by the authority to which the present application is submitted.
