Durch axiale Hubbewegung und/oder Drehbewegung lassen sich die Oeffnungen der Rohre mehr oder weniger zur Deckung bringen und damit die abfliessende Schmelze entsprechend mengenmässig regulieren. Die beiden feuerfesten Rohre sind in den sich gegenseitig berührenden Flächenbereichen zur Erzielung einer absoluten Dichtheit sehr genau zu bearbeiten. Die Bearbei¬ tung dieser Rotationsflächen ist daher relativ aufwendig.
