Der Nachteil dieser Vorrichtung besteht darin, daß zum einen durch das Quetschen des Drahtes nicht stets auch eine vollständige Abtrennung sichergestellt ist, so daß die einzelnen Drahtstücke aneinander hängenbleiben und daß zum anderen die Abtrennstellen unregelmäßig ausgebildet sind und einer dichtest möglichen Packung in einem Aufnahmegefäß entgegenwirken.A device for wire comminution is known from EP-B1-0 210 482. Weiterhin sind, bedingt durch die schwingende Hin- und Herbewegung des Gegenmessers zwei Schneidrichtungen vorgegeben, welche zu unterschiedlichen Drahtwurfbahnen führen, so daß die abgeschnittenen Drahtreste durch ein sehr großes Auffanggefäß aufgefangen werden müssen. Weiterhin ist die Schrittgeschwindigkeit, bedingt durch die Masse des Gegenmessers begrenzt, so daß sich diese Vorrichtung nur bei relativ langsam laufenden Erodiermaschinen einsetzen läßt.
