- The postcard comprises a
postcard stuff 10. Thepostcard stuff 10 comprises apostcard material 12 of standard postcard size and a coveringmaterial 14 adhered on a part of thepostcard material 12. The coveringmaterial 14 is formed integral with thepostcard material 12 in a manner of extending from one end thereof and is stuck to thepostcard material 12 in a folded-back fashion. - Further, on the surface of the
postcard material 12, alottery part 16a such as a letter "winning" or "lose" and aconfidential matter 16b such as a information of the finance or the insurance are formed. Thelottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b are formed by printing on the surface of thepostcard material 12. Meanwhile, thelottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b may be formed by writing with a pen. - The covering
material 14 compreses abase material 18 which is formed integral with apostcard material 12 in a manner of extending from one end thereof. - The
base material 18 is formed with a relatively soft material such as paper, synthetic resin film and the like which can be cut by a scissors or the like. - A
suppression layer 20 is formed on one main surface of thebase material 18. Thesuppression layer 20 is formed by printing a silver ink and the like or laminating a film material such as an aluminum foil having a suppressiveness with adhesives. - On the surface of the
suppression layer 20, aprimer layer 22 for increasing an adhesion of a heatadherent resin layer 24 discribed later is formed. Theprimer layer 22 is formed by coating a resin such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer on the surface of thesuppression layer 20. - On the surface of the
primer layer 22, the heatadherent resin layer 24 is formed by coating a heat adherent resin as heating and extruding it, or by gravure or silk screen printing as dissolving it in a solvent or despersing in water. - The heat
adherent resin layer 24 is formed to melt at about 100°C to 200°C so as to be adhered to thepostcard material 12 made of paper or the like. - As an example of said heat adherent resin, adhesives of EVA group may be selected. The composition of the adhesive comprises an EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymerized resin), a tackifier, a wax and an anti-oxidant, to which sometimes a release agent such as silicon for reducing the adhesion, a plasticizer and a filler are added as an adjutant.
- As the tackifier, there are glycerin of partially hydrogenated rosin, glycerin-ester of rosin, pentaerythritol modified rosin, petroleum resin, α-methylstyrene/vinyl toluene copolymer, terpene oil polymer and terpene-phenol polymer, etc.
- As the wax, there are paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax, low molecular weight polyethylene wax, Fischer-Tropsch wax, caster wax and chlorinated paraffin, etc.
- As the anti-oxidant, there are hindered phenol group compound, salicylic acid group compound, benzophenone group compound, benzotriazol group compound, phosphorus group compound, sulfur group compound, organic metal group compound, etc.
- As the heat adherent resins other than the aforesaid examples, there are stylene-butadiene-stylene copolymer, stylene-isoprele-stylene copolymer, polyethylene, ethylene-ethylacrylate copolymerized resin, ethylene-acrylic acid copolymerized resin, ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymerized resin, ethylene-methyl methacrylate, ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymerized resin, ionomer resin, polymethylpentene resin, ethylene-vinylalcohol copolymerized resin, vinylidene chloride resin, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymerized resin, polyamide resin, stylene-acrylic acid copolymerized resin, polystylene resin, polyacrylic acid copolymerized resin, polyester resin, polyurethane resin, waxes, etc. When printing and coating, these resins can be suitably used as heating or dissolving in a solvent or dispersing in water.
- Next, a method of manufacturing the postcard will be explained.
- First, continuous paper for forming the
postcard stuff 10 is prepared. Thepostcard material 12 portion and thebase material 18 portion are formed continuously in the direction of width of this continuous paper. Accordingly, the length of the continuous paper in the direction of width is a sum of the length of thepostcard material 12 and the length of thebase material 18. And thesuppression layer 20 is formed on one main surface of thebase material 18 of the continuous paper by allover printing with a silver ink, for example, by the known printing method as the offset printing or coating. - As showing Fig. 3, a rolled laminate comprising the
postcard stuff 10 formed with thesuppression layer 20 is mounted on ahold roller 32 of amanufacturing machine 30 for the covering material. - The
postcard stuff 10 held by thehold roller 32 is loosen at one end and led to aresin coater 34. Theresin coater 34 is designed to print and coat theresin 22a such as the aforesaid vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer on thesuppression layer 20 of thebase material 18. - The
base material 18 onto which theresin 22a is printed and coated is then guided to adryer 36, whereby theresin 22a is dried and theprimer layer 22 is formed. - Next, the
base material 18 formed with theprimer layer 22 is directed to a heatadherent resin coater 40 for printing and coating the heatadherent resin 24a containing, for example, the aforesaid ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymerized resin as a main component. The heatadherent resin coater 40 is a printing or coating machine utilizing known printing and coating methods such as a typographic printing, gravure printing, silk screen printing, offset printing or the like. - By the heat
adherent resin coater 40, the heatadherent resin 24a is printing or coating on the surface of theprimer layer 22. - The
base material 18 onto which the heatadherent resin 24a is printed or coated is led to adryer 42, whereby the heatadherent resin 24a is dried and the first heatadherent resin layer 24 is formed. - Thus, as shown in Fig. 4, the covering
material 14 of thepostcard stuff 10 is formed with thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 22 and the heatadherent resin layer 24 on the surface of thebase material 18. - The
continuous postcard stuff 10 is wound round a take-uproller 44 again. - In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 2A and Fig. 4, the
suppression layer 20 is formed on one main surface of thebase material 18, theprimer layer 22 is formed on the surface of thesuppression layer 20, and the heatadherent resin layer 24 is formed on the surface of theprimer layer 22. The adhesion of the heatadherent resin layer 24 is increased by theprimer layer 22. Therefore, the heatadherent resin layer 24 is adhered strongly to thebase material 18, and adhered weakly to thepostcard material 12. - When the aluminum foil and the like having a good suppressiveness is selected as the
base material 18, thesuppression layer 20 is not necessary. In this case, theprimer layer 22 is formed on one main surface of thebase material 18. - Further, as a material of the
postcard stuff 10, a rolled continuous paper is selected, but a loose paper, that is to say, a separated paper may be selected. - Also, on the
base material 18, any suitable printing which fits to properties of the postcard may be performed, or When the continuous material is used as aforesaid embodiments, for example, a detecting mark(arrow) for detecting feeding pitches of thebase material 18 may be printed with a black color or the like. - Subsequently, this
postcard stuff 10 is led to a covering material sticking apparatus sticking this coveringmaterial 14 to thepostcard material 12. At this time, to cover a confidential matter such as a residual amount deposited in a bank which is formed on part of the surface of the postcard with the coveringmaterial 14, it is necessary to print proper characters in advance on a proper place, for example, the lower column of the postcard material. - In addition, in the case of making this covering
material 14 adhere, for example, to the lower column of the postcard, as shown in Fig. 5, thepostcard stuff 10 is fed sequentially, and it is folded back at the boundary between thepostcard material 12 portion and the coveringmaterial 14 portion, and the coveringmaterial 14 and thepostcard material 12 are bonded. Then, the surface ofpostcard stuff 10 is pressed by a pressing roller, and the coveringmaterial 14 is stuck to the surface of thepostcard material 12. Then, thepostcard stuff 10 is cut in a proper size, and the postcard of the present invention is formed. - In the adhered covering
material 14, theadherent resin layer 24 is adhered strongly to thebase material 18, andsuppression layer 20 is adhered weakly to thepostcard material 12. Thus, as shown in Fig. 1A and Fig. 1B, the coveringmaterial 14 can be peeled off relatively easily from thepostcard material 12 by cutting it. - Also, the covering
material 14 can be peeled off relatively easily by not cutting. - And, the
lottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b formed on a surface of thepostcard material 12 can be seeing. - Fig. 6A and Fig. 6B are views showing an another embodiment of the present invention, in which Fig. 6A is a perspective view therof, and Fig. 6B is a sectional view thereof.
- In this embodiment, cuts 26a and 26b forming with parforations are formed specifically in the upside and the downside of the
base material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 22 and the heatadherent resin layer 24. Thecuts - In this embodiment, when the center portion of the covering
material 14 in the up-and-down direction is peeled off, as shown in Fig. 7A and Fig. 7B, the center portion can be peeled off relatively easily from thepostcard material 12 by cutting the coveringmaterial 14 at thecuts lottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b on the surface of thepostcard material 12 can be seeing. - Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B are perspective views showing a separate embodiment of the present invention, in which Fig. 8A is a perspective view thereof, and Fig. 8B is a sectional view thereof. In this embodiment, a
separate cut 26c is formed specifically in thebase material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 22 and the heatadherent resin layer 24 on the inside of thecut 26b. Thecut 26c is formed by a die roll together with thecuts portion 26d is formed at one end of thebase material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 22 and the heatadherent resin layer 24 in between thecuts - In this embodiment, when the center portion of the covering
material 14 in the up-and-down direction is peeled off, as shown in Fig. 9A and Fig. 9B, a narrow portion between thecuts cuts cut portion 26d. Then, thelottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b can be seen by bending the center portion of the coveringmaterial 14 in the up-and-down direction at thecut 26a or by cutting it at thecut 26a. - Meanwhile, in the embodiment shown in Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B a projection extending to the outside in between the
cuts cut portion 26d. Thus, the narrow portion of the coveringmaterial 14 is peeled off more easily by hooking the projection. - Also, a center portion of the covering
material 14 may be formed so as to peel off from thepostcard material 12 by forming a cut along the surrounding of thebase material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 22 and the heatadherent resin layer 24, - Also, the
lottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b may be formed on the surface of thesuppression layer 20 or the surface of thepostcard material 12 when having the thesuppression layer 20, and may be formed on one main surface of thebase material 18 or the surface of thepostcard material 12 when not having thesuppression layer 20. - Fig. 10 is a sectional view showing a postcard as a separate embodiment of the present invention.
- Fig. 11 is a sectional view showing a state which a covering material of the aforementioned embodiment is cut and is peeled off from the postcard material.
- This postcard comprises a
postcard stuff 10. Thepostcard stuff 10 comprises apostcard material 12 formed in the size of the goverment postcard, and a coveringmaterial 12 stuck to part of thispostcard material 12. The coveringmaterial 14 is formed integral with thepostcard material 12 in a manner of extending from one end thereof and is stuck to thepostcard material 12 in a folded-back fashion. - A
lottery part 16a wherein are shown letters such as "winning" or "blank" and aconfidential matter 16b such as a information of the finance or the insurance are formed on the surface of thepostcard material 12. - The covering
material 14 comprises abase material 18 formed integral with thepostcard material 12 in a manner of extending from one end thereof. - The
base material 18 is formed with a relatively soft material such as paper, synthetic resin film and the like which can be cut by a scissors or the like. And on one main surface of the base material 18 asuppression layer 20 is formed. - On the surface of the
suppression layer 20, aprimer layer 27 for increasing an adhesion of a heatadherent resin layer 28 discribed layer is formed. Theprimer layer 27 is formed by coating a resin such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer on the surface of thesuppression layer 20. - On the surface of the
primer layer 27, the first heatadherent resin layer 28 is formed by coating a heat adherent resin with a weak adhesive strength as heating and extruding it, or by gravure or silk screen printing as dissolving it in a solvent or despersing in water and the firsts heatadherent resin layer 28 has a weak adhesive strength. - The first heat
adherent resin layer 28 is formed to melt at about 100°c to 200°C so as to be adhered to thepostcard material 12 made of paper or the like with a weak adhesive strength. - As an example of said heat adherent resin having a weak adhesive strength, the same adhesives as adhesives of the aforementioned embodiment shown in Fig. 1 may be selected.
- Further, on the surface of the first heat
adherent resin layer 28, a second heatadherent resin layer 29 having a strong adhesive strength is formed. In this embodiment, the second heatadherent resin layer 29 is formed at both sides in the lengthwise direction of thepostcard material 12, that is, in the fixed width at the upside and downside of the coveringmaterial 14. Moreover, the second heatadherent resin layer 29 is formed at both sides in the breadthwise direction of thepostcard material 12, that is, at right and left ends of the coveringmaterial 14 in spots. The second heatadherent resin layer 29 is formed by coating a heat adherent resin having a strong adhesive strength, for example adhesives of EVA group, stylene-butadiene-stylene copolymer, stylene-isoprele-stylene copolymer in parts. - In this case, for example, the tackifier is mixed more as compared with the heat adherent resin having a weak adhesive strength or the release agent is mixed less as compared with the heat adherent resin having a weak adhesive strength, in the heat adherent resin having a strong adhesive strentgth. The second heat
adherent resin layer 29 may be formed at only both sides of upside and downside or both right side and left sides of the coveringmaterial 14. - In this case, the second heat
adherent resin layer 28 may be formed in a fixed width or spots. - Next, a method of manufacturing the postcard shown in Fig. 10 will be explaned.
- As showing Fig. 12, a rolled laminate comprising the
postcard stuff 10 formed with thesuppression layer 20 is mounted on ahold roller 132 of amanufacturing machine 130 for the covering material. - The
postcard stuff 10 held by thehold roller 132, is loosen at one end and led to aresin coater 134. Theresin coater 134 is designed to print or coat theresin 27a such as the aforesaid vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer on thesuppression layer 20 of thebase material 18. - The
base material 18 onto which theresin 22a is printed or coated is then guided to adryer 136, whereby theresin 22a is dried and theprimer layer 27 is formed. - Next, the
postcard stuff 10 formed with theprimer layer 27 is directed to a heatadherent resin coater 140 for printing or coating the heatadherent resin 28a with a weak adhesion containing, for example, the aforesaid ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymerized resin as a main component. The heat adherent resin coater, 140 is a printing or coating machine utilizing known printing and coating methods such as a typographic printing, gravure printing, silk screen printing, offset printing or the like. - By the heat
adherent resin coater 140, the heatadherent resin 28a having a weak adhesive power is printing or coating on the surface of theprimer layer 27. - The
postcard stuff 10 onto which the heatadherent resin 28a is printed or coated is led to adryer 142, whereby the heatadherent resin 28a is dried and the first heatadherent resin layer 28 is formed. - Then, the
postcard stuff 10 formed with the first heatadherent resin layer 28 or the like led to a heatadherent resin coater 144 for printing or coating the heatadherent resin 29a having the strong adhesion. The heatadherent resin coater 144 is a printing or coating machine utilizing known printing and coating methods such as a typographic printing, gravure printing, silk screen printing, offset printing or the like. By the heatadherent resin coater 144, the heatadherent resin 29a having the strong adhesion is printed or coated partially on the surface of the first heatadherent resin layer 28. - The
postcard stuff 10 onto which the heatadherent resin 29a is printed or coated is led to adryer 146, whereby theadherent resin 29a is dried and the second heatadherent resin layer 29 is formed. - Thus, as shown in Fig. 10, the
postcard stuff 10 is formed with thebase material 18 on which thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 27, the first heatadherent resin layer 28 and the second heatadherent resin layer 29 is formed in order. - The
postcard stuff 10 is wound round the take-uproller 148 again. - In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 10, the
suppression layer 20 is formed on one main surface of thebase material 18, theprimer layer 27 is formed on the surface of thesuppression layer 20, and the first heatadherent resin layer 28 is formed on the surface of theprimer layer 27. The adhesion of the first heatadherent resin layer 28 is increased by theprimer layer 27. Therefore, the first heatadherent resin layer 28 is adhered strongly to thebase material 18. - In this embodiment, the second heat
adherent resin layer 29 is formed on a surface of the first heatadherent resin layer 28 in the fixed width at the upside and downside of the coveringmaterial 14. Moreover, the second heatadherent resin layer 29 is formed on a surface of the first heatadherent resin layer 28 at right and left ends of the coveringmaterial 14 in spots. - Therefore, at a portion which the second heat
adherent resin layer 29 is formed, the coveringmaterial 14 is adhered to apostcard material 12 strongly, and at a portion which the second heatadherent resin layer 29 is not formed, the coveringmaterial 14 is adhered to it weakly. - Thus, as shown in Fig. 11, at the portion where the second heat
adherent resin layer 29 is not formed, thebase material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 27 and the first heatadherent resin layer 28 can be relatively easily cut and peeled off from thepostcard material 12. In this case, at a portion which the second heatadherent resin layer 29 is formed in spots thebase material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 27 and the first heatadherent resin layer 28 can be relatively easily peeled off. Then, thelottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b on the surface of thepostcard material 12 can be seeing. - Fig. 13 is a sectional view showing a separate embodiment of the instant invention. In this embodiment, cuts 26a and 26b forming with parforations are formed specifically along the surrounding of the second heat
adherent resin layer 28 in the upside and the downside of thebase material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 22 and the first heatadherent resin layer 28. - In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 14, the
base material 18, thesuppression layer 20, theprimer layer 27 and the first heatadherent resin layer 28 can be peeled off relatively easily from thepostcard material 12 by cutting at thecuts adherent resin layer 28 is not formed. Then, thelottery part 16a and theconfidential matter 16b on the surface of thepostcard material 12 can be seeing. - In the aforementioned embodiment, the cut is formed along the surrounding of the covering material, a center portion of the covering material can be cut by the cut.
- In this case, as shown in Fig. 15, when each cuts are constituted with a
linear cut portion 224a and acurvilinear cut portion 224b respectively so as to overlap a part of onecut 224 and a part of thenext cut 224 in a direction for peelingoff thecovering mateial 212, the center portion of the coveringmaterial 212 can be peeled off easily. In addition, for peeling off the center portion of the coveringmaterial 312 easily, as shown in Fig. 16, for example, eachlinear cuts 324 may be formed along edges of thebase material 314 on a slant so as to overlap a part of onecut 324 and a part of thenext cut 324 in a direction for peeling off the coveringmaterial 312. - In the postcard shown in Fig. 15 and Fig. 16, by pulling the covering material between the adjacent perforations is broken as the direction thereof is shown by an arrow of dash-dot line, and the covering material of the portion encompassed by the perforation is peeled off.
- However, as shown in Figs. 15 and 16, the same covering material as the postcard material may be formed and the covering material may be formed so as to be stuck to cover the whole surface of said postcard material.
- While the present invention has been particularly described and shown, it is to be understood that it is for the purpose of illustration and example and not for limitation. The spirit snd scope of the invention is therefore to be determined solely by the accompanying claims.
- The adhesion of the heat adherent resin layer is increased by the primer layer. Therefore, the heat adherent resin layer is adhered strongly to the base material or the suppression layer, and is adhered weakly to the postcard material. Then, the surface of the postcard is covered with the base material of the postcard including the base material having the suppressiveness or with the suppression layer of the postcard including the suppression layer having the suppressiveness.
- When peeled off the base material, the base material, the primer layer and the heat adherent resin layer are peeled off from the postcard material in the postcard including the base material having the suppressiveness, while, the base material, the suppression layer, the primer layer and the heat adherent resin layer are peeled off from the postcard material in the postcard including the suppression layer having the supprssiveness. Therefore, the surface of the postcard material can be seeing.
- The first heat adherent resin layer is adhered weakly to a postcard material and the second heat adherent resin layer is adhered strongly to the postcard material.
- Also, the adhesion of the first heat adherent resin layer is increased by the primer layer. Therefore, the first heat adherent resin layer is adhered strongly to the base material or the suppression layer. Therefore, the base material is not accidentally peeled off from the material to be sticked with a force applied to the second heat adherent resin layer. Then, the surface of the postcard material is covered with the base material of the postcard material including the base material having the suppressiveness or with the suppression layer of the postcard material including the suppression layer having the suppressiveness.
- When peeled off the base material, the base material, the primer layer and the first heat adherent resin layer are peeled off from the postcard material in the postcard material including the base material having the suppressiveness, while, the base mateial, the suppression layer, the primer layer and the first heat adherent resin layer are peeled off the postcard material in the postcard material including the suppression layer having the suppressiveness. Therefore, the surface of the postcard material can be seeing.
- According to the present invention, a postcard which is able to cover preferably and temporarily an information matter of the surface of the postcard material without any process on the surface of the postcard material, and a manufacturing method thereof are obtained.
