Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a foldable cell structure for consolidating and / or draining soils, in particular soils on slopes.
Such a cell structure has become known from DE-OS 30 21 825, in which the cell structure is formed by permeable and coherent strips, the actual cell structure being produced by unfolding the structure. For this purpose, the strips are laid parallel to each other and connected to each other across the width. The connection of adjacent strips can be carried out in such a way that rectangles or honeycombs are formed when they are pulled apart.
These cell structures are easy to manufacture and, in many areas of application, also have sufficient strength to hold the soil masses filled into the cells.
These known cell structures are not suitable for certain areas of application, for example, when the subsurface on which the structures are laid has low coefficients of friction, or when very extensive or very steep slopes are to be solidified with soil, because the soil masses filled in the cell structure tear apart. The cell structures also tear if they are to be used for backfilling a landfill that is covered with a film.
The object of the present invention is to provide foldable cell structures of the type mentioned at the outset which are also suitable for smooth and / or very steep surfaces. In particular, these foldable cell structures should be suitable for carrying out soil filling and consolidation on landfills covered with films, which serves to protect the cover film and, depending on the place of use, also to green the landfill.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that tensile-strengthening stabilizing bands are integrated in the cell structure, which are arranged in a straight line and at least predominantly parallel to one another when the cell structure is unfolded.
In particular, the stabilizing tapes should have a tensile strength of 0.5 to 500 kN / m, an elongation at creep of less than 10%, preferably less than 5% and / or an elongation at break of at most 20%.
The above tensile strength refers to the width of the drawstrings. This means that for a given tensile strength of 100 kN / m, a 0.4 m wide stabilizing band has a tensile strength of 40 kN.
There should be so many stabilizing tapes that the cell structure has a tensile strength in the slope direction of 0.5 to 90 kN / m, preferably 5 to 25 kN / m, the tensile strength being measured in the unfolded state depending on the running meter in the horizontal direction .
In the present application, creep elongation is understood to mean the elongation experienced by the stabilizing band, which was subjected to a load for 2 years at room temperature and about 65% relative humidity, which corresponds to half the breaking load of this stabilizing band.
It has proven to be expedient that the cells of the cell structure are approximately cuboid, the length of a cell between 0.1 and 1 m, the width between 0.1 and 1 m and the height between 0.05 and 0, 4 m.
A preferred embodiment of the cell structures according to the invention is characterized in that the stabilizing bands on one surface of the cell structure are connected to the longitudinal edges of the strips forming the cell structure. In this embodiment, the cell structure on the base is unfolded in such a way that the stabilizing strips lie flat on the base and thus do not hinder backfilling from above. The stabilizing straps should be aligned perpendicular to the horizontal to utilize their tensile strength.
This type of fastening of stabilizing tapes has proven particularly useful in cell structures which are formed by unfolding a water-permeable sheet-like structure provided with offset, finite-length cuts parallel to one another. This structure itself is known in metal lattice structures as expanded metal. However, this structure formation has not been possible with the previously known foldable cell structures, because the strips forming the cell structure are flexible because of the required foldability, and thus collapse again and again when unfolded and are therefore difficult to fill. Surprisingly, it follows that the strips are attached to the underside, which facilitates the unfolding. It is sufficient to unfold the bottom layer, which unfolds the cell structure up to the top in a kind of chain reaction.
Another cell structure, the handling of which is particularly simple, is characterized in that the cell structure is formed from continuous first strips arranged parallel to one another and second strips running at an angle to the first strips, the first strips being the stabilizing bands between which the second strips are arranged and connected to the stabilizing bands. In particular, this cell structure should have triangular, preferably rectangular cells. It goes without saying that when one speaks of triangular or rectangular cells here - due to the flexibility of the stripes - the triangular or rectangular shape is not exactly present. In particular, the second strips will no longer run in a straight line after filling, but will sag between the stabilizing bands, but this is the task the cell structure in no way affected. In the cell structure known from DE-OS 30 21 825, it was not possible due to the special connection of the cells to one another to arrange the strips in a straight line. For example, in the case of rectangular cells, the strips run through the cell structure in a step-like manner.
The triangular cell structure can be achieved in particular by arranging the second strips in a zigzag shape between the stabilizing bands. The edges of the zigzag tips are connected to the stabilizing bands. The connection between the bands is achieved using known working methods, such as are already described in DE-OS 30 21 825, for example.
If the zigzag-shaped arrangement of the second strips is changed such that the pointed edges are flattened and the flattening is connected to the stabilizing strips, the result is a trapezoidal arrangement of the second strips, which has proven particularly useful because a surface connection between the first and second tapes. It should be pointed out that a trapezoidal arrangement is also understood to mean an arrangement of this type in which the second strip forms surfaces which are perpendicular to one another, that is to say are shaped in a meandering manner. This creates a rectangular cell structure.
According to the invention, it is also possible to provide the stabilizing tapes in addition to the continuous first strips, especially since the stabilizing tapes do not have to have the same width as the strips.

Ein solches Flächengebilde läßt sich leicht aufrollen.FIG. 4 shows a cell structure which is formed by unfolding a water-permeable, flexible sheet-
