A prosthetic socket section (23) is mounted in the second digital bone section (12) and comprises a cup (24) which is in sliding contact with the external surface (16) of the head (15), and an integral rod ( 25) which is introduced into a passage (26) formed in the second bone section (12). The rods (13 and 25) can be anchored in position using acrylic bone cement, or in certain embodiments, anchoring in position can be carried out without cement, thanks to the architecture of the rods.
